— About the size of a bobcat and still growing. Sendak has a thick coat of light mauve fur and big eyes, reminiscient of a chinchilla or a bat. He lost an eye in an accident and earned a jagged scar on that side of his face. His remaining eye is golden and pupiless. Sendak's tail is nothing but a furry nub.
