  • Kazuki opened his arms in surprise as she jumped towards him, and arms catching her as he stumbled backwards, barely managing to keep on his toes due to her weight and strength combined, and he held her as she clung to him, his nose catching the whiff of... was it blood from her? Suddenly his gentle attitude left him, and he tore her away from him, scanning her up and down to check her for injuries, "what happened Becca?" he quickly stated, his red eyes showing relief. If she'd taken injuries, they were healed now.

  • Rebecca looked dissappointed to be pushed away but she understood why. Raising a hand to the center of her chest she pat her coat. "I went searching when you werent at our meeting spot and I ran into Satoshis older brother, Regei I think it was." She took a deep breath to calm her breathing, "Satoshi showed up with Yumi, and Regei had four Quinque trained women with him." Shaking her head she stepped forward and hugged him tightly now, "I am so glad you were not there." You should tell him. A fight with Regei is a fight to the death, we need a plan and we need it now. Wincing with a sharp pain in her temple she tucked her face into the crook of his neck. "Where were you?..." her voice was quiet and soft as she mumbled

  • Kazuki let out a audible sigh as she explained this, and he wrapped his arms around her as she got close again, his red eyes narrowing, "I was working on a solution to my problems, but don't worry. Its all coming together now" he stated slowly, although there was a hint off coolness in his voice. Whatever he was up to, even he didn't like it, and he dipped his head as he smelled her hair, closing his eyes for just a moment. "ok" he finally whispered, gently prying her away from him, "this can continue in the rooms, its not safe here."

  • Becca shook her head, "That Ghoul couldnt even smell me coming, it was those humans who sensed me first. I think his senses are quite dulled so he couldnt track me. And Satoshi was hit hard before he escaped." She held up ber hands to him, eyes weary under stress. Kazuki was hiding his plans but she trusted him, maybe not to wander around on his own but to figure things out. It was that battle with Regei she kept going back to. "I dont think we can beat that man on our own." She pursed her lips, unused to the powerless feeling.

  • Kazuki frowned at this, then his eyebrows suddenly relaxed as he smiled, "We can though, we're obviously the best duo around" he spoke quickly, the smile fading almost as quickly as it had come, then he grabbed her hand and pulled her along, "c'mon, we need to do something in the room. Think of it as a science project. It could even blow up if we're lucky" he joked, pulling her along through the small crowd and towards the area they had split up early that morning. This Regei guy sounded like a problem... but if what he was about to do worked, he'd be able to fight at full strength for a while. Full strength was something he hadn't had any of the recent battles.

  • Becca laced her fingers with his, walking just behind him so he could navigate the crowds easier. "A science experiment? What are you up to Stringhold?" She asked under her breath, gazing up at the back of his head and smiling bashfully. It was at such odd moments when she seemed to enjoy his humor most. Take it as reassurance that he can handle all of the crazy. "I think he likes it to be honest." She mumbled, listening closely to the clunks and rattles in Kazukis back pack.

  • Kazuki led them in silence back to their room, where he finally let go of the hand that he had not dropped even once one the way, and he shrugged off the clanging backpack before placing it gently on his bed, before pointing a the door as he neared the window, "lock the door" he stated before closing the blinds. He then paused for a second before pacing to the centre of the room, where he stopped and grabbed hold of the fire alarm above them and twisted it off with a click. "Just in case..." he mumbled, his red eyes finally looking at the backpack, which he walked to and unzipped.

  • "Just incase?" Becca said, locking the door and eyeing the motion suspiciously. She walked up to him and reached out, halting a foot away with finger tips near his chest. "Kazuki what is it you are about to do here?" She asked, eyebrows furrowing in confusion.

  • Kazuki huffed at the question, and his hand drew out two vials in one hand, and a jar in the other. In this jar was a familiar looking organ... "A ghouls predatory organ, along with a stabiliser" he spoke quietly, before looking up, "I'm going to fix my kagune, that's degraded over time. And this vial here." he told her, showing the second vial, "is what I used to use to activate my abilities in the past. If everything goes well here today, I'll be able to fight beside you once with my full strength" he told her quickly, then took a deep breath. He was uncomfortable about doing these things to himself, but he'd already subjected himself to the idea.

  • Rebecca was shocked at the sight of the kagune organ, "Are you going to put that in you?!" She hurried over and grabbed the jar with a hiss, stepping back quickly with it clutched fast in a hand. "That will take away your whole life Kazuki, you don't want to be like us." She shook her head, "food will never call to you the same, people will smell and sound different." Her impulse was to smash the jar and spare him the pain, but she stopped short. He was doing it so the both of them could survive together. Breathing fast and staring at the jar, she brought it back to him on slow feet, eyes low.

  • Kazuki blinked as the organ was suddenly snatched away, and he stood up quickly, walking over to her and gently pulling it from her grasp, placing a hand on her hand with a sigh, "don't worry, its not for that, I promise. This is... well, an appetiser if you will" he spoke quickly, then smiled. When I eat ghoul flesh, my abilities get stronger. However, if I blend this until its a liquid with the stabiliser and inject myself with it, it will repair me kagune. Don't worry, I haven't quit being human yet" he told her quickly, dropping his hand and placing it back on the bed. He quickly pulled out a small square machine which he placed on the bed with a thump, a grim smile coming on his face, "my uncle's old favourite, the ghoul mincer, he called it. The blades are made off quinque steel in this device, and it reduces flesh to almost nothing. Think of a nice soup, if you will" he commented dryly, looking slightly sick at the thought.

  • Becca flinched slightly at the thought, rubbing her arm and going over to her own bed, crawling onto the bottom bunk. "Your uncle is so much like my brother, Ichiro made a koukaku axe for training purposes. But to be able to grind ghoul into soup." she wrinkled her nose, "sounds unappetizing." taking a slow breath the young woman shift around so she was laying on her stomach and propped by her elbows. "So step one then?" she did not like his idea but if he was more or less used to it then she wouldn't allow herself to complain. Both of them knew more than well enough what people had done to them in the past because of their talent and genes.

  • Kazuki took a deep breath as he reached for the organ, and he popped open the jar. A foul smell filled the air and Kazuki crinkled his nose, turning away, "step one, take a small amount, which wasn't specified, and put it in the soup maker" he stated, grabbing his bag once more and pulling out a scalpel. the then stuck his hand in the liquid and tried pulling out the flesh, however it slipped a few times before he got a grip, dragging the large thing out and banging it on the floor with a squishy splat noise. Finally, he carved out a decent chunk from it, before putting it back in the jar and closing the lid. He could already taste it due to the smell. The organ would definitely have rotted away to nothing if it weren't for the preservation liquid. He dropped it in the top and flicked it on, frowning as nothing happened. "Oh right, that was step two. Step one would be plugging it in." the white haired man stated as if it were a joke, but there was no smile on his lips. He was very nervous.

  • "A fresh one would have been better," she commented and pulled her backpack up onto the bed, "It smells really awful, I'll be honest it makes me want to hurl." she pinched her nose shut, knowing other ghouls could smell it as well, "Kazuki is this going to hurt you at all?" she asked and raised a brow, looking a bit funny with her nose pinched shut and eye's wide.

  • He huffed at the question, closing his eyes for a second before nodding, not answering her question as he began switching on the machine for real. It jumped and started shaking as the blades inside whirled around like nobodies business, him having to hold the box down as it almost threw itself over. Finally, he switched it off and let out a sigh once more, slipping the lid off and popping the lid off the stabilizer, which the poured into the grisly mixture before continuing the job.

When he opened it for a second time, it was strangely scentless, and Kazuki's heart pounded as he placed a needle into the liquid and pulled back on the tube, the goal beginning to fill with the light pink liquid until it was finally full. He banged the lid back on the box and hovered the needle above his arm, obviously about to inject it, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. "Becca, you do it to me" he finally uttered, voice low as he held out the needle to her.

  • Becca slid off the bed and walked up to him quietly, "Don't be angry at me for it then," she took the needle and grabbed his wridt, eyes searching his arm quickly. She didnt need nurse training toocate the strongest vein, but she had only watched scientists do it to others or herself. Pursing her lips she nod and got it over with as gently as she could. Releasing her fingers from his wrist she looked up at him, eyes worried, "Are you okay? Does it hurt?" She couldnt tell right away.

Yumi opened the apartment door, walking inside quickly and into the kitchen. She hurried to find a glass and fill it with water before she was chugging quickly. Finally setting the glass down on the counter she tilt her head back and caught her breath. "Next time I suggest that we should avoid the danger, you should probably avoid the danger Satoshi." She called, gazing up at the roof as she recalled the battle in her head.

  • Kazuki closed his eyes as the needle pierced his skin, his red eyes beginning to glow brightly as he suddenly started rasping for breath as the drug started burning through his arm, the muscle looking as if it were writhing about underneath his skin.

The younger version of Kazuki stood by a desk, there were many people asking him questions. Who was he? Who was his uncle? But most importantly... what his uncle had done to him. He didn't realise when they told him they would help him achieve his goal to kill ghouls that he would simply be a tool to them, he didn't understand that they were simply manipulating him, and turning him into even more of a monster. They pumped more chemicals into him, however the ones they came up with were more effective than those his uncle had given him. Was it perhaps the amount of people working on him now, or the amount of money spent of him had gone up? Who knew.

After a while of being tested, he was put into a room where he conducted various tests, most of which he had forgotten.

"Now then, Kazuki. This is your 21st examination. Please release your kagune for inspection." a voice called into the large open area, and a white haired boy dipped his head before leaning forwards, electricity surging from his back. Four wings burst from behind him, two arced towards the ground, and the other two as they should be. The image made him look like someone had summoned an angel, and he could've sworn there was a slight gap before the scientist continued with the test. "R-right, move the top two. And the bottom one. Good, that's good. Now, a target will appear. Conduct a variety of ranged attacks from where your standing"

The boy narrowed his red eyes at this and placed his palms on the floor, angling his wings towards a target that was slowly lifting out the ground. The wings suddenly expanded, reaching easily up to three metres each before the edges of them sharpened. Finally, hell broke loose. It was like rain made from shards, electricity billowing out of each one as it made contact with the target. Finally he stopped, the room full of dust, and he stood up, waiting for the dust to clear. It was safe to say there was no target left, and the scientists were quick to replace it.

This was the height of his power, the power he then used to kill hundreds of troublesome ghouls and humans that stood in the way of the CCG's rise to power.

Kazuki's breath continued coming in ragged, and it was possible to trace where the drug went, as everywhere it reached it left his body literally writhing in agony. "B-Becca" he stammered, red eyes wildly searching around for her as if he couldn't see her. His arm had finally stopped its weird movements, however the drug had reached his chest now, and his eyes rolled back into his head as he passed out due to the pain.

  • Becca tossed the seringe aside and dart behind him, her arms wrapping around his chest and his head was cushioned by her own chest. "This was a bad idea." She said to herself aloud, shaking her head as she pulled him over to his bunk bed, "you always call me the idiot when your ideas are the more reckless." She cupped his cheeck and reached up slowly with her other hand. Being as gentle as possible when pulling his eyelid back to check his pupils. Kazuki was very good at making sure that his old memories and experiences were hidden away in his head. It was only now that she was afraid he would have to re live them all, and it was for their shared goal. She couldnt abandon him now, nor would she want to but Becca knew it would have spared him a lot more pain. "If only i had in the beginning." She smiled regretfully. I dont regret it, you would have let us die in the snow.

  • Kazuki's body went through a few different spasms, however they got progressively better thankfully, and eventually, his eyes opened, back to normal. His limbs felt heavy, as if it would be impossible to move them even if he tried, and he let out a massive sigh, signalling that he was awake. "I cant move... but this is comfortable, so its fine" his voice crackled out, his skin still buzzing from what had taken place inside him. His body had strengthened, he could tell... which was probably why he couldn't move pretty much anything.

  • "Kazuki, what just happened, and why is this hurting you so bad that you cant move?" She asked while combing his hair softly. Blue eyes focused on him in worry, her touch was light as she didnt want to cause him extra pain. Her legs were folded under her and she leaned back on his bed as he rest half on her lap. "It cant be good for you to be in this state. What sort of crazy did you just put into your body?!" She stressed the issue with an upset whisper. There were others out in the hall, and she didnt feel like telling everybody that they were vulnerable. If only they knew the Ghoul that had just made his stake in their territory.
