What was he supposed to do when his former rival was acting funny? Was there something he could do to the other so he'd feel better? Maybe if he forced it out of them but how, so many questions swamped his mind as he flicked both ears back soon taking a seat as a sigh escaped his parted jaws. What was he supposed to do with Ash Ketchum? He hadn't seen him in forever since Sinnoh and that was it, he would touch the pokeball half that he wore around his neck trying to figure something out and mentally prepare. Some girls passed by and he'd them a flirtatious smirk even if it all felt wrong as they walked away giggling and blushing. How long was he going to keep this up? How long was he going to let his feelings plague him like this? Maybe he should just overall forget Ash Ketchum and move on. It all sounded so easy but in reality, it was difficult and he hated it. He'd cross that bridge when he needed to but for now he continued sitting there fumbling with the pokeball half that he had knowing that Ash had the other.

He... he was worried, about where all these people that seemingly derived from the same world as him were coming from. Perhaps... something bad was happening, there- much like Giratina had killed Barry himself and seemingly murdered Dawn, who... who Barry had been in love with. He'd never admit it, though- he would die before he admitted that he had had a crush on Dawn Hikari. The retriever sprinted over and skidded to a halt beside Gary, narrowing his cirtine optics slightly in concern- Gary had seemed awfully egotistic- much like Barry himself- when he had joined, but now there was a certain air of solemnity around the other. "Hey!" chimed the male, concern etched upon his features. "You're Gary, right? I was at your joining! You look... are you alright?"
