From the eyes of most kids in the house, this party was the most insane thing they'd ever experienced. House parties were already such a wild ride, but none were more wild than this one. However, from Kadin's eyes, this thing was a curse. He just wanted to play his guitar, sing his songs, and be done with it all. There was the promise of a couch to crash on after it was over and food, and all he had to do was the one thing he loved. Of course, they also wanted him to hang around after his set - which he hadn't been expecting to get cut short by the arrival of an actual dj. What the *? He was the performer here! Well, apparently he was just there to entertain before the 'real' entertainment got here. Besides, his sad ukulele songs were totally killing their vibes.

Begrudgingly, he was told he had to stay in order to get that nice couch and all the food in the pantry. He supposed they just wanted to keep things interesting. Unable to stand the predictable crap blaring from the stereo, he retreated to the kitchen, though that was just as cramped and uninteresting. So, he decided to sneak upstairs, finding the calming quiet and dark of unlit bedrooms so inviting. Unfortunately, most of the rooms were closed off and he didn't want to sneak in or anything - that'd give the wrong impression, he imagined.

One bedroom was open and unoccupied, but it was not the bedroom itself that filled him with relief. No, it was the window, which he was lucky enough to find lead straight out onto the shingled roof - he adored houses like that. He could sit out under the stars for a little, have some peace and quiet in the crisp nightly autumn weather. He was not equipped for such weather, but honestly the feeling of the cool air hitting him was a blessing in itself. He loved the cold, even if the weather always made him sad.

So, he heaved himself off the safety of the windowsill and onto the sandy colored shingles, enjoying the cold as it nipped at his bare feet, or the feeling of the cold shingles hitting his back as he laid down on them. He realized anyone could come up here at any moment, but he'd only left the door partially open and just assumed people wouldn't want to leave the glamour of the party to sit on the roof like he had. Amara arrived at the party about 45 minuets ago, and she was already getting a head ache. She spent her time socializing with the other girls, chatting about whatever their conversation evolved to, that usually being nails, hair, gossip, pop music, none of which interested Amara. After about 20 minuets of hearing the tramps babble, Amara excused herself and shouldered through the crowd of people. [glow=white,2,300]"Drinks,"[/glow] she muttered. [glow=white,2,300]"I need drinks."[/glow]

She found her way to the drinks halfway between the kitchen and living room which had painfully loud, crappy music exerting from it. The dark haired girl swiftly choked back some drink which burned her throat on the way down. Amara wasn't the kind of trashy girl who got drunk and high, but right now was an exception - anyone sensible talking to those girls would want a flush of alcohol too.

Amara stood beside the drink table, observing the party and people around her. She considered leaving yet unfortunately, she came with her friend, Abigail, who was probably off dancing or flirting and she wouldn't be willing to drive Amara home. Rolling her eyes and sighing, Amara put the cup of burning-liquid to her lips again.

She was just about to take a swig when a cringingly familiar voice sounded behind her. Amara spat back out what was in her mouth into the cup and turned around to face a tall, brawny jock.
[glow=black,2,300]"Ah, Amara, there you are."[/glow] It was Devin, a well known athlete from her school who all the girls squealed over. He was a huge flirt and quite disrespectful about it at times. And just to Amara's luck, he was always tormenting her with pick up lines and uncomfortably close gestures. He must've liked hard to get girls, because Amara never properly returned his attention.

[glow=white,2,300]"Heyyyyyyyy..."[/glow] She breathed, hardly attempting to suppress her obvious annoyance. Of course that didn't hinder Devin.

[glow=black,2,300]"I was looking for you, wondering if-"[/glow] Devin continued but Amara started to cough violently.

    [glow=white,2,300]"So sorry - I'm - really, very - sick. I shouldn't even - be - here."[/glow] She said between clearly fake coughs.

    [glow=black,2,300]"I was wondering-"[/glow]

[glow=white,2,300]"No, I am - so - sorry. I really have to go."[/glow] Amara took a step back, pointing her thumb over her shoulder as she spoke. [glow=white,2,300]"I'll catch up with you another time, huh?"[/glow] She took her swig of the cup, emptying its contents, and shoved it into his hands. [glow=white,2,300]"See you!"[/glow] She called sarcastically behind her as she slipped into the crowd once again.

Her headache was worsening now. Several years ago, Amara was diagnosed with Meniere's Disease, and the loud music triggered headaches and sometimes intense migraines. Fortunately, Amara had found her way up stairs and into a room whose door was slightly open. She knocked before entering and peered in. It was dark and empty. She sighed with relief and flopped onto the bed, rubbing her temples.

She lay there for about two minuets, waiting for her headache to subside when she noticed a cold draft. She sat up and looked to her side where a window lay open. The fact that it had no screen caught her attention. Maybe she could climb up on the roof, get even further away from the obnoxious crowd. And with that thought, Amara was heaving herself onto the roof from the windowsill.

She sighed and stretched her arms behind her head once her feet were stable, totally unaware of another's presence.

He was feeling peaceful at last, allowing a soft sigh to slip from between his lips while his eyes were shut reverently. He had stargazed for a moment or two, but the sky was stark and nearly barren, with just a few twinkling lights from fading stars and old satellites. It was a new moon, which left the sky looking even emptier than it already should've.

He was stirred from his peaceful silence by the sounds of another, someone who had clearly similar intentions to himself. He did not stir at first, but as he heard them heave their way onto the roof too he sat up, looking to see who had found him out. He hoped nobody was pissed he'd been up here.

Watching an unfamiliar girl join him, he cleared his throat softly in hopes of garnering her attention. "U-um..." he began, though he was uncertain of what to say. "Trying to get away from the party too?" He asked softly, a little awkward but not wanting to sit there in total silence. Well, they could definitely do that after they at least said something, otherwise it'd likely be even more awkward.

He was not a social sort, really - Kadin liked the tranquility of nature, seclusion in the woods was a preferred spot. Otherwise, the only crowds he liked were at concerts, because he really fucking loved music.

Grassy green eyes looked her over curiously; or admiringly if you will. He wasn't staring or anything - he was mostly just curious. He was quick to brush some of his own bangs back so they looked better, the breeze had pushed them around a bit and it probably looked kind of funny. That was no way to make a first impression.[/fancypost][/fancypost][/fancypost]

In mid stretch Amara was startled by a voicing coming from the darkness. She jumped and took a step back in surprise, almost losing her footing. Her stomach turned as she regained her balance, dreading the thought of tumbling off the roof. [glow=white,2,300]You look like an idiot. Good impression.[/glow] Amara thought glancing toward the direction of the voice.

Her eyes adjusted and she made out the silhouette of a boy handling his hair. Amara wasn't sure what to say at first. She came up here to escape from people and was slightly irritated to run into someone. But after all, he was here first and she was the one intruding.

[glow=white,2,300]"Yeah."[/glow] She replied, hesitating to continue. [glow=white,2,300]"They've got awful music. I got a headache."[/glow] Amara folded her lips into an awkward, sarcastic grin but broke it realizing it was too dark for him to see.

Amara stepped away from the edge, unsure where to go. She wandered to the center of the roof, keeping her distance from him, respectfully. She gazed at the neighborhood and houses around her. For a moment she forgot about the boy but suddenly snapped back. [glow=white,2,300]"Am I intruding?"[/glow] she quickly asked, not wanting to seem rude.

The girl tried to get a view of him, whether it be out of curiosity or caution. The last thing she wanted was running into another Devin. But she concluded that a boy liked Devin would be in the midst of the party, fishing for girls. Amara relaxed a bit.

Abruptly, Amara realized she was staring a bit longer than it was appropriate to and removed her gaze, facing the neighboring houses again.

He felt a pang of sympathy as he startled her, almost panicking as he thought she might fall.

"I was supposed to handle that music," he said somewhat bitterly, "They stopped me so they could blare their crap instead" he wondered if he was being a bother at all, but honestly he didn't care very much then.

He allowed their moment of silence to settle comfortably in the air, he even laid back down to watch the sky. He listened, though, as she spoke up again. Her voice cut the thickness in the air, but he didn't mind at all really. "Not at all. If you need a break from the crowd it'd be awfully rude to kick you out; it's not my roof to claim" he hoped desperately he wasn't being awkward at all. Or at least, he wasn't being too awkward.

He felt her eyes on him, butdid not point it out - it was no bother to him. He hated eye contact, but a few curious glances were just fine. He let a soft sigh slip past his lips, not being bothered by her prescence all that much. He did want this to be a private time but, he supposed he had no need to fuss over it for very long. And hey, she wasn't being rude or overly chatty - could he really complain that much?

"Not much of a party person either? Or do you just need a little brake...? If you don't mind my asking" surprisingly, he was being s little talkative. Not that Kadin was overly stoic - he was much too emotional and passionate really, but he tended to be rather shy. After the boy mentioned something about music, she was about to respond but the words didn't find their way out her mouth. She wasn't nervous or anything, she just didn't really have a reason to reply. She did this quite often, not always replying (especially to rhetorical questions), and was accused of being rude at times. But she didn't care too much at the moment. Besides, by then it would have been awkwardly late timing to reply.

Amara continued staring around, feeling unusually settled in the silence. Most of the time she felt other people's awkward, uncomfortable vibe during her moments of silence. Most of the people she hung out with were extroverted, who were never big on silence. But this guy seemed pretty chill with it.

She glanced over at him again, attempting to read his body language. He was laying back and looking up at the sky now. Amara's conclusion was correct - he seemed relaxed in the moment.

After Amara asked about her being intrusive or not he answered politely. She hoped he was being honest and that he really didn't mind her presence. Yet Amara, being a stubborn Aries, didn't care if he did mind. She wasn't going back down there. (Amara did respect another's wishes of being alone or not - she totally related to it - so she wasn't apathetic. Just too tired to deduce someone's wants, which she did quite often.) Amara nodded her thanks to him, though he probably didn't see it.

There was another moment of silence, which Amara was okay with. She was still standing several yards away from him, not quite comfortable to sit down yet. She glanced up at the sky to join his gaze but had to quickly straighten her head since she felt wobbly and insecure looking up.

His voice filled the air again. It was very soft and quiet. If he were any more quiet she would be unable to detect what he was saying over the muffled music bellow them. But his volume was quite understandable and somewhat relaxing. Loud voices scared Amara.

[glow=white,2,300]"Um, I'm not a big party person, no."[/glow] She answered honestly. This was somewhat out of her character, usually she would answer subconsciously and not reveal what she really thought, even with minor questions like this one. Amara was very private and reserved with her deeper thoughts. (Her opinions on the other hand she could be firey about. Hence her zodiac sign.)

[glow=white,2,300]"I came with a friend... - Abigail."[/glow] She added awkwardly. [glow=white,2,300]"She wanted me to come. I was bored."[/glow] Amara tended to be choppy with her sentences.

She allowed a three second silence before adding, [glow=white,2,300]"What about you?"[/glow] She tilted her head his way to politely engage, but didn't look at him. Eye contact made her uncomfortable as well.

It seemed she wasn't keen on parties either. "That makes two of us, then" he chimed up with a soft chuckle.

"Being dragged to parties like that sucks" he commented, almost more to himself than to her. "Me? - I was supposed to be down there playing music. I was promised a place to stay for the night and I was even getting paid for it. They kicked me off early, haven't paid me yet, and I'm really only sticking around for the couch to sleep on after everyone leaves" he admitted with a bit of a giggle. It kind of sucked, but he was totally chill about it too. Damn, those drinks must be stronger than he thought - he'd only had a few and he was being so honest. Normally, he was quite the withdrawn sort.

Kadin was never keen on lying - but within the last year or so it'd become a habit. Started out with little lies to his parents, escalated into pretty deep shit, and now he was here. Funny how things worked out like that. He'd gone from a cushioned home, safely tucked away from the world. Now, he had been plunged headfirst into it and he seemed to be struggling under it a little. Yet, he felt more free than he had ever felt in his life. He was not an uptight sort - if the hair and the barefeet didn't give that all away.

His eyelids fluttered closed, but he was not falling asleep - he just liked spacing out like that best of all. Truthfully, Kadin felt as if he was out of his body altogether at the moment - he was projected out into another world while his body hung low here on earth. His mind was always somewhere else really, he was always the spacey sort. He could imagine himself in a billion places, and he loved to imagine all the possibilities good or bad. It was a wonderful escape from everything going on.

He let out a soft breath he hadn't realized he was holding in, and wondered if the girl thought he was strange or something. He lay completely still, save for the gentle dipping up and down of his chest and the slightest twitches in his hands or feet. His feet were rather cold, he noted - but he liked it. Gave him a little shock to keep him going. All he needed now was a cigarette, and he would feel completely at peace. He knew very well the habit was bad, but it was long standing and he didn't care enough about himself to stop. Thinking about it was giving him cravings, so he forced his eyes open as he turned to look for the other girl's figure. He hadn't heard her leave, but he didn't hear her there either. Amara responded with a quiet [glow=white,2,300]"yeah"[/glow] after he commented on the party. Amara listened respectfully when he explained why he came to the party at all. He was pretty honest, maybe even blunt about it. He was slightly indirect but from the gist of it she figured he was out of his own house. In other words: homeless.

Of course Amara didn't flat out ask him if he was, but she was rather intrigued. She truly enjoyed listening to people's stories, she found each one significant in their own ways. She also greatly appreciated honesty. Neither of those were provided in her social group. Everyone around her was shallow or had up a facade. She was deprived from depth and connection. And those two things made her feel alive.

Amara turned her feet slightly his direction so she was facing him more from her distant spot. She looked at him while he spoke, showing that he had her attention. Amara took people's choice to open up seriously. She wanted them to know that she heard every word and absorbed every emotion they expelled. She didn't want this stranger to regret sharing a piece of him with her. She was very familiar with that regret and didn't want anyone else to feel it.

He finished explaining why he was actually at the house party but Amara stayed quiet once again. She wasn't trying to be rude; she was processing his words and wondering how he ended up without a home. She wondered if he was abused and was a runaway, maybe looking for adventure or he just left his home out of pride. But that seemingly unlikely due to her deductions of him.

The boy turned his head to face her and she quickly looked away, not wanting to make it obvious she was staring at him while in her thoughts. She figured this was her cue to say or do something. Amara crossed her feet and steadily lowered herself onto her bum, crossing her legs and bending her knees. The roof was cold beneath her but she didn't mind much. She knew it would get to her in a bit but that didn't matter right now.

Amara leaned forward, resting her elbows on both of her knees.

After a coupled seconds of adjusting into her lowered position she spoke. [glow=white,2,300]"Do you know the host well?"[/glow] Amara was debating whether she should comment on his music playing, unpaid money or bedless matters but she was somewhat content with her choice. She didn't mean to disregard his confession but she didn't want him to think she pitied him with a different response. She didn't want to push on him to open up so she tried her best to sound chill, yet still attempted to keep her tone welcoming, expressing that she was okay for him to talk more.

Amara wasn't quite relaxed in her new sitting position, either because of the cold or the new conversation with the stranger.

If she thought he seemed interesting or strange or a mix of the two. If she thought he was being annoying or wanted to talk more. He always wondered what others thought of him when they spoke with him, especially the first time they spoke.

Enjoying the bliss of the quiet moment, he watched as she settled down closer to his level, and though he was sure she wouldn't see him well in the dark sent her a small, friendly smile. Then, he turned back to look at the sky, but his gaze did not remain on the sky very long.

"Not really honestly. Seems alright, though" he shrugged. Truthfully they had only met so long ago, but the guy was pretty chill and was fine with him staying so long as he was at the party of course. He was a bit loud for Kadin's liking, but he'd happily suck it up for a warm place to stay and eager ears willing to hear his songs. Bringing his arms up behind his head, he relaxed a little more against the hard shingles. Honestly, if he wanted to he could fall asleep right here - not with the girl here of course, that'd be a little rude and definitely awkward. But Kadin was not someone who was too picky about such trivial things as a napping spot - hell if he had it his way, he'd sleep nestled safely in a large tree. A bit odd sounding perhaps, but he really loved nature that much. And tree climbing was one of his favorite pastimes.

Still, the weather was becoming a bit too chilly for even him to stand it, and he'd hate to make himself ill or freeze to death when he could easily get in a gig and a nice place to stay the night. This guy's parents were supposed to be gone all weekend, so no one would get mad if he hung out, and the guy seemed completely cool with giving him somewhere safe to stay.

The wind picked up, and the sound of dead leaves crunching and crackling as they hit the pavement on the street below could be faintly heard beneath the deep bass that thumped from the downstairs. It seemed things were getting more dance-y down there, the bass was heavier but there wasn't any noise from vocals or anything that he could hear. Honestly he couldn't wait until they finally died down back there.

He didn't miss home much, really. He didn't miss arguing or sneaking around, forcing himself into a mold that just didn't fit right. But, sometimes he missed the quiet of the night; waking up before the sun rose and listening to the nightly world from his window before falling back asleep, or the sweet smell of tea on the kettle. That...that he did miss. He supposed his parents were glad he was gone, things must've been so peaceful there. Something in his heart wanted him to believe otherwise, and yet still he was convinced they were glad he was gone. If they did miss him, it was their own fault anyways. Amara relaxed a bit more as he replied easily. She continued to deduce him after he admitted to not knowing the host personally. Her curiosity grew.

[glow=white,2,300]"So you're just crashing at this dude's house?"[/glow] She asked, starting to feel more comfortable and slightly less cautious with her words. Though she was still very conscious of everything and how to respond appropriately in order to make him feel comfortable.

Amara changed her position as a chilly breeze blew over the roof, tucking her thighs to her chest and resting her chin on her knees. She tried her best not to look obviously cold, not wanting him to feel obligated to offer her anything. Whether it be a jacket or to go back inside - which she did not want to do. It was a bit peaceful up here even with the faint blare of the music below.

Amara tipped her head back to look at the sky again now that she was sitting and more grounded. The sky was dim and there weren't many stars to admire. The area had too many artificial lights which overpowered the stars' shine.

She scanned the sky, waiting for a possible shooting star. She had only seen a few in her life, that being when she was rather young so her memory was dim of it. The sky was quiet, not providing any activity except for the faint twinkle in the larger stars.

Amara wasn't a big star gazer but she did enjoy it somewhat when she actually did lie back and observe the black abyss. She was more of a cloud watcher. The dark night depressed her a bit. Her mind was deep and dark enough so it was nice to stare at the warm, bright blue sky instead.

She let out a long exhale. The warm sun would be nice right now.

A comfortable air was settling around them both now, allowing him to relax a little more as she seemed to follow suit.

He noticed she seemed a little chilly, but all he had to offer was a light sweatshirt. He'd freeze his ass off in a few weeks but for now, it'd have to do. "Hey uh, you want my sweatshirt? It's pretty damn cold up here" he sat up finally, resting his elbows on his knees and looking over the other. He was surprised she hadn't asked for his name yet, or mentioned his accent - those were common questions. He was glad, though; it aucked answering the same question a thousand times over.

"I'm Kadin, by the way." He added in softly, quick to tug off the fabric of his sweatshirt and pull it off, ready to hand it over if she so asked.

Looking back up at the sky for a moment, he watched for any lights worth seeing, but the sky remained unchanged. "I wish city lights didn't burn out the stars like they do" he spoke wistfully, and honestly.

    ---- No worries, hun ----

Amara found his small chuckle reassuring. He was pretty chill, she didn't feel under any pressure by now, or at least very little. She wondered again why he was here, at a stranger's, looking for a place to sleep. She wasn't ready to question it though.

Before she could reply to him he quickly interrupted her anticipation to speak, offering his jacket. She was slightly embarrassed being obvious enough for him to realize she was cold. But it wasn't awful right now. She was complimented by his generosity but wasn't keen on taking his offer, she didn't want to make him cold as well. Amara was always the one to suck up the cold for another's comfort. Besides, she wasn't exactly sure she wanted to engulf herself in a stranger's clothing.

[glow=white,2,300]"I'm good thank you. That's sweet of you to offer."[/glow] She acknowledged. She always wanted someone to feel appreciated for their kindness.

[glow=white,2,300]"Kadin?"[/glow] She repeated. Not being the greatest on names, she learned that repeating helps her remember. [glow=white,2,300]"I'm Amara."[/glow]

Usually people complimented her name since it was somewhat unique, or at least something not heard often. Kadin's name was unique as well. [glow=white,2,300]"I like your name."[/glow] She complimented, hoping he wouldn't have the idea to say the same thing in that moment.

As it turned out, she didn't even want it, but he didn't immediately put it back on either. "If you're sure" he said softly, instead covering his thin frame with it again and feeling a little better.

"Amara - that's a really lovely name," he complimented genuinely, just after she had complimented his own. "And uh, thanks" he added in softly. He thought her name was really pretty, it wasn't one he thought he had heard before. His own was nice enough, he didn't care much one way or another, but he supposed he was lucky he hadn't been stuck with a very common name. According to his parents, they'd heard it in passing and his mother had insisted on it. His father had wanted something more 'professional' but his mother had won that argument and they'd stuck him with Kadin.

Bringing his knees up to his chest, he wrapped his arms around them and hugged them tightly, resting his chin on them. His toes were rather cold now - the downside to being barefoot as often as he was. He should've been used to it maybe, but it was still rather cold and he couldn't help it as much as he tried. Amara was pleased that he slipped his jacket back on. She didn't like when others were in discomfort for her. Though, hypocritically, she carried that out for others quite often.

Amara felt a little hot with embarrassment as he almost overlapped her compliment with his own. She nodded slightly in thanks. [glow=white,2,300]"Thank you."[/glow] Her face grew more warm as she interrupted his thank you. She mentally scoffed at her awkwardness. [glow=white,2,300]Well at least I'm not as cold now.[/glow] She thought, recovering from her warm flush of embarrassment.

The corner of her mouth twitched in mild endearment as she thought over his thank you. It was awkward (like her) but cute.

Silence engulfed them again and Amara resumed to peering around the neighborhood, avoiding looking to her side which he was on. They were about nine feet apart so she felt it would be obvious if she glanced there. Though the more she thought about avoiding his direction the stronger the urge she had to submit.

It seemed as if a few minuets, or at least long seconds, passed before she broke and glanced in his direction. She was curious about who exactly she was talking to but all she could make out was his shaggy hair and dim profile. It was a nice profile.

Amara blinked and looked away quickly, not sure how long she was staring. Amara was fascinated by everyone's unique detailing and features, it's not like she was looking to be rude or coquettish.

Amara felt a tug to continue talking, not to fill in the silence but because she wanted to. She also hoped it would distract him from noticing her awkward gaze. [glow=white,2,300]"Are you familiar with astronomy?"[/glow] She asked before continuing after a short pause. [glow=white,2,300]"You were looking at the stars earlier, so I was just wondering."[/glow]

Amara thought again of her clumsy conversational skills, hoping he didn't think anything wrong of her.

He glanced over to her, but she didn't look to be as cold as she was before.

"No need to thank me," he commented softly, not moving as the wind picked up and brushed his bangs in his face. He liked the wind, even if it was so cold tonight, just because he liked the feelings of a nice breeze running through his hair or blowing gently around him. It calmed him and he didn't really know why.

Feeling her eyes on himself, he looked in her direction curiously, wondering himself what she really looked like. He loved seeing the doversity in different people, it just...fascinated him a lot. Tilting his head, almost as if he were a dog, he tried and failed to get a good look at her profile in the lighting without staring too much. He couldn't make out details, but what he could he agreed eith himself he really liked.

"Astronomy? Sort of - I love stargazing and finding constellations if that counts for anything" he let a soft giggle bubble from his lips at that, a sweet smile falling onto his features. "What about you?" He decided to inquire, figuring he could because she'd asked him.

Amara wasn't aware of his returning gaze which saved her from fretting about what he was thinking. But as she looked over to talk to him, his head was already tilted her direction. After politely facing his way to ask her question she quickly turned her face away, either out of embarrassment, shyness or both.

His soft voice sounded and she listened carefully. She really found it relaxing. Most people were too loud and gave her headaches but Kadin was pleasantly mellow. She appreciated his tranquility.

Amara snuck a glanced toward him as he spoke, studying (or admiring) his mannerisms which she also found relaxing and reassuring.

[glow=white,2,300]"No, I know hardly anything about identifying stars or constellations." [/glow] Amara returned softly. She paused as she usually did before continuing. [glow=white,2,300]"What constellations can you see right now?"[/glow]

Amara always wanted to be able to identify constellations and see the creatures that lived in the skies.
She shyly hoped that he would point out a few.

"They're not so hard to learn really" he reassured softly, "And I can't really make it out right now, but that might be Orion's belt" he was quick to point up at the sky, squinting his own eyes to make it out better. "I love stars and the sky so much - very beautiful" he admired softly, wondering if she could see it too. "Plus I like learning the stories behind some of them - how they got their names and such"

He rested his head on his knees again, his focusing on nothing in particular as his mind began to wander to innocent thoughts. Biting gently on his lip, he remained silent for a moment before returning to the present - and he was quick to face the other with an innocent smile. He couldn't help it much when he spaced out like that, he had a very active imagination (or so he'd been told).

Gently wiggling his cold toes, he wondered if she was cold again. Well, he knew she was but he wondered if it was really bothering her. Taking a strand of his dark locks, he began twirling it between his fingers absentmindedly. "You're not too cold are you?" he decided to ask softly.[/fancypost][/fancypost][/fancypost]

Amara mimicked his movements to shield his face from the cold air behind is knees. The breeze made her vision blur with tears, a rather embarrassing reaction her eyes had to cold weather. She wiped her eyes on her knee, clearing her sight.

Amara's interest was sparked when Kadin mentioned the stories of the constellations. [glow=white,2,300]"Yeah? I really like the origin stories too, like the Greek ones. I know them well, I just can't identify the constellation itself."[/glow] Her mind wandered as well, exploring the Greek myths and adventures she studied as a kid. She always found them fascinating.

Her eyes scanned the sky, attempting to identify what he pointed out, but it was impossible to see where he was pointing when she was several feet away from him. Her shyness held her back from scooting closer to get a better sense of direction in which he pointed. It was too late anyways as he had dropped his hand and no longer guided her sight to the constellation.

Embarrassment warmed her again when we questioned her resistance to the temperature.
[glow=white,2,300]"Um,"[/glow] Amara wasn't sure whether she should lie or be honest and confess that her butt and fingers were numb and she was suppressing shivers. But something about him made her want to be truthful, she felt safe to, which was not a common feeling for her. [glow=white,2,300]"Yeah, I am cold actually."[/glow]
