• Puddle after puddle. Flash after flash. Mud everywhere...mud galore. Star darted through the thicket of trees as the swamps floor stained her white tipped paws. Was she running from something? Yes. Was it family? Was it enemies? Was it a past? Was it time? Was it herself? ...

    Nope. Spelled N O P E. Just a badger who needed a dental plan.

The 7-mooned kit was small and her last defense would have been fighting. The only problem was fighting wasn't her strongest suit. She didn't believe in fighting I mean she would make friends with anything in Nature. Just moments ago she tried to befriend the badger. Too bad it was hungry. Star continued to run through the swamp. Her legs began to ache, but this was not the way she was going to go. She looked from tree to tree. If only there was one she could climb. All the trees had to offer were branches that stood up three times her height and that was when she stretched from her tippy-toes. That's right her tippy-toes. Why not just climb? You know, good old physical contact, one on one, claw + wood = not badger food. Well, when you don't have any claws to work with, that can be a small issue in survival. Yea...late bloomers were the worst. This all meant she would have to leap to one. Star wasn't finding anything and the savage creature was getting closer. She scanned and scanned until she saw a trunk that showed promise. There was a branch that stood twice her height and there was no confirmation that it would hold, when, the badger struck out its terribly unaligned, teeth and bit down.

"Ah!" she yelped looked behind to see the golden fur gone from the edge of her tail. "We just met," the feline whined not happy to already be, in a sense, being 'eaten' by a male. There was one option. With the rest of might, Star sped up to the upcoming limb and lept.

"That's how I'll tell it!" she smiled, as she stood at the border of Riverclan.

The sudden yelp piercing the air had caught the being's attention, ears perked up and swiveling in the way the noise came from. Turning around, the feline began to run towards the spot where Star was, eyes flickering from side to side, looking for any signs of hostilies. It never a major concern for him because nothing mortal could hurt him, much less an animal. Nostrils flared as whiskers curled forward, the scent of the one who must have let out the yell getting closer. Though, just as he came into view, his head cocked to the side at her words. That's how I'll tell it? ...Tell what? A look of confusion passed his features before allowing it to be replaced with a warm (and relieved) smile as the red and white tabby padded forward. Sniffing the air, there was no indication of blood hanging in the air, which means they weren't hurt. Good. "Hello. How can I help you?" Chuck asked as he stopped to sit down.

    DOMESTICE FELINE | health: 100%
    — chuck is slightly smaller than the average domestic cat, but is completely fine with that. he is a red and white tabby cat. the main coat is what itself and is visible on all four legs, underbelly and faded around the eyes. on top is light red fur that covers the other non-white parts, having darker red mackerel tabby markings. eyes are a light blue color, which is interesting for the body he created (yes; not taken), but only thinks it makes it look 'cuter.' the build of this being is indeed on the shorter side, but lean and made for dodging hits instead of dealing.

Freckles seemed to be the first to limp on by, the Advisor taking note of the scent of a stranger. Closing in on the scene the black Lab would smile at the sight of the young kit.
"Hello there! Can I help you, little one?"
He would inquire merrily as he beamed her a cheerful grin. He had no idea what story he would get from her. Though he noticed that Chuck had beaten him by a whisker to the scene. Whoops!

  • Star's smile brightened at the sight of clanners. It had been so long since she had last been in the presence of actual unprey-like animals. She was excited enough to forget about restraining the urge to be herself. The small feline stepped over the invisible border and began to smell Chuck then off to Freckledmessiah.

"That smell will do,"Star proclaimed, "...so where's this?" The kit asked.

  • "This is RiverClan. Are you looking for some place to join?" Octoberkit inquired as he approached. This person seemed kind of odd, but he wasn't one to judge. He greeted everybody equally and was happy to help them out. "Are you hungry or thirsty?"

  • The feline turned to Octoberkit not sure what to ask for first. Millions of questions began to whirl throughout her brain in endless chaotic lists. Too bad they couldn't all see the light of day. Star bit her lip deciding which one to ask until she found one that just could not be avoided.

"What's Riverclan?" Star asked. You could tell she was truly shocked at the word yet it excited her a bit. The way it rolled off the tongue and almost had it's own smell. The word itself seemed abstract and bright blue. The kind of blue you'd see on a clear day mixed with small tints of green. Green that came from moss lingering as the sides of a twisting ravine. All these colors reflected onto the clear waters of a possible looking Riverclan. Her eyes grew wide. Curiosity was beginning to take over and the questions were only hitting the surface of the kits imagination.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 9pt; width: 420px; color: #FEBEFC;] Patchworkpup had been coloring in a coloring book when she heard everyone start talking. Listening a bit as she haphazardly filled in the eyes of the panda, she stopped when she noticed someone saying "...where's this?" Excitement gripping her, the wolfdog-fox slammed shut her coloring book and grabbed her colored pencils before rushing to the scene, eyes sparkling with nothing but pure joy. "Hi there! I'm Patchworkpup, pleasure to meet ya. What's your name? You smell a bit funny." The pup didn't know anything other than what Riverclanners smelled like, so the weird...scent didn't appeal to her. But she could look past it, because that's just who she was! Maybe she could convince them to take a bath later. It would be horrible if anyone made fun of the newcomer for smelling different!

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 375px;]nymph was next to arrive, eyeing the scene warily. her brow pinched together as she regarded the missing tuft of fur. nymph took a seat next to her uncle, her ears perked with curiosity. "uh... what happened to your-" nymph was cut off as posy arrived and the strange feline spoke again. "riverclan? it's, uh, a clan? you know, a group of cats or whatnot living together, with a structure, of course." where had this kit come from if she had never heard of riverclan?
    a

  • I smell funny? Star thought. The strong urge to smell herself came, but this time she could have a little bit of self-restraint. As she was trying to figure out how to respond to Patchworkpup she heard an explanation of Riverclan from Nymph. It sounded like the place in her dreams. Only not on fire as her daydreams and nightmares would depict it. It could be a good change for the better. She had been living off on her own for most of her life. Why not try to be around things that looked like her instead of the side of a tree.

"Hi Patchworkpup! My name is...hmm...my names..." Star began to say though not sure what to call herself. No one had really called her anything up till now. Well, not an ACTUAL name. She searched frantically around the area. Not knowing your name was sure to bring up suspicion and she didn't need that. Her eyes scanned the perimeter until a beam of light bounced onto her eyelids. It was a small ball of light peeking through the mossy thicket. She looked away immediately to where her eyes fell upon Octoberkit. Star began to realize that the cat wasn't that much smaller then she was. She's just a kit...Hey that'll work!

"Star...kit! My name is Starkit, but you can call me Star," Starkit smiled fairly proud of herself for coming up with some type of name. Her attention was brought once more onto Nymph. It was already decided. She wanted to be apart of something that was bigger then herself.

"And how does become apart of this Riverclan?" Star inquired. Yea this would work.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 375px;]starkit? that was an interesting name. nymph smiled at the thought of this feline becoming leader; her name would be starstar! nymph opened to her mouth to tell the kit this, but decided it would only confuse her further. "that's a nice name. my name's nymph winchester. you can just join, no approval needed! do you want me to show you around?" nymph offered a smile toward starkit. she obviously was not accustomed to clan life. nymph may have been young, but she knew how to get around pretty well. maybe starkit could benefit from a tour.
    a

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 390px; text-align: justify;]At Nymphs suggestion, all of the questions Star had, became a blur. She was too excited for such worry-like things. A place she could finally call home. It was what she had always wanted for herself. The kit was pretty nomadic so all of this was new to her. Might as well take up the offer, right?

"Really?! You'd be willing to do that? If you're sure then I fink I'll take you up on that offer!" Star smiled ear to ear and began to head in the direction of Riverclan...ish. She was going a little bit too much to the left and not enough right.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 375px;]nymph smiled at the child's reaction. it felt good to make someone happy like that. "of course! i can show you the caves, and the river, and the-" nymph paused when she saw the kit beganing to teeter off- in the wrong direction. nymph giggled and trotter after her. "uh, starkit? wrong way," nymph motioned toward the actual direction of camp with her head, and began walking in that direction.
    a

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 9pt; width: 420px; color: #FEBEFC;] Patchworkpup, not wanting to be left behind, hurried after her sister and Starkit. "Can I come too? I don't really know directions all that well, but I still wanna come!" The pup smiled and wagged her tail again.

    [/fancypost]

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 390px; text-align: justify;]Her attention was brought onto the pup. The pup looked as big as she was even if Star could tell that she was the older one. Being small sucked. Without hesitation, Starkit responded.

"Yea sure. The more the merrier!" She continued to sway in the wrong direction until her brain processed what Nymph had commented. Starkit looked over to where Nymph was and immediately corrected the swaying. Star felt a bit stupid for not being very direction oriented. Again...other one of her weaker suits. "Psh...I knew that," she joked and began to follow Nymph along with Patchworkpup her, somewhat, bare tail swaying side to side with each step.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 375px;]/ should i make a private tour thread?

nymph smiled at her sister, tail flicking idly behind her. "i don't see why not," she responded. the more the merrier was right.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 390px; text-align: justify;]occ-if you could, that would be amazing. I wasn't sure if i should say something or not. thanks bro

icc- Starkit couldn't wait to see what this Riverclan was like. Was it the same as the area they were at right now or was it blue like she had been imagining it to be. She could feel the goosbumps racing up and down her legs as the gold, dark brown and white mixed fur began to stick up a bit. Hopefully it wouldn't be like the place in her dreams. The ones glazed in red flames and smothered in grey smoke. The ones with a small high-pitch bell that seemed to serinnade the entire scene, but weren't as peaceful as a violin or a piano solo. Something more like the sound that came after an explosion. Yea. a red flamed, grey smoking explosion.

"So much green," Star muttered under her breath. She was already forgetting about the red amd turning to the green mistifying forest that lay before them.
