[justify][size=8][font=trebuchet ms]⋆ [color=black]Puddle after puddle. Flash after flash. Mud everywhere...mud galore. Star darted through the thicket of trees as the swamps floor stained her white tipped paws. Was she running from something? Yes. Was it family? Was it enemies? Was it a past? Was it time? Was it herself? ...
Nope. Spelled N O P E. Just a badger who needed a dental plan.
The 7-mooned kit was small and her last defense would have been fighting. The only problem was fighting wasn't her strongest suit. She didn't believe in fighting I mean she would make friends with anything in Nature. Just moments ago she tried to befriend the badger. Too bad it was hungry. Star continued to run through the swamp. Her legs began to ache, but this was not the way she was going to go. She looked from tree to tree. If only there was one she could climb. All the trees had to offer were branches that stood up three times her height and that was when she stretched from her tippy-toes. That's right her tippy-toes. Why not just climb? You know, good old physical contact, one on one, claw + wood = not badger food. Well, when you don't have any claws to work with, that can be a small issue in survival. Yea...late bloomers were the worst. This all meant she would have to leap to one. Star wasn't finding anything and the savage creature was getting closer. She scanned and scanned until she saw a trunk that showed promise. There was a branch that stood twice her height and there was no confirmation that it would hold, when, the badger struck out its terribly unaligned, teeth and bit down.
"Ah!" she yelped looked behind to see the golden fur gone from the edge of her tail. "We just met," the feline whined not happy to already be, in a sense, being 'eaten' by a male. There was one option. With the rest of might, Star sped up to the upcoming limb and lept.
"That's how I'll tell it!" she smiled, as she stood at the border of Riverclan.
