  • [fancypost borderwidth=0pt; font-family: arial; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]Winterballad had not officially joined. Really, she just sort of showed up and settled in and no one questioned her yet, so she took it to mean that it was ok. Dusk was here, and so were Blue and Sky and Ignatius, so she assumed she would be welcome as well. Leave it to Winnie to feel entitled like that.

The white feline was now sitting outside, watching others go about their day and finding that she knew none of them. Winterballad was used to a life on her own, but even she knew the importance of building relations if she intended to call this place home. Admittedly, butting in and settling without notice wasn't exactly the best way to go about that, so she decided that this would be the evening she would introduce herself to her new clanmates.

[b]"hello,"

she uttered a single word, as if unsure of what else she might need to say. she didn't usually greet others at all. in fact, she usually just didn't speak to strangers. but no one else seemed to be speaking to her, so mei just awkwardly tried to initiate some sort of conversation.

It seemed that many new faces were floating around his Clan lately, and Super was becoming a little upset he didn't know them all. It was a leader's job to know everyone, and as he didn't know everyone, the tabby felt like he needed to step it up a notch. As he did his daily fly over the territory, Super's amber eyes landed on Mei speaking to someone below, someone he didn't know. Awesome!

The feline spiraled down and landed a few feet away, bounding the rest of the way with a bright grin on his face. His bright red cape flapped out behind him, landing neatly on his back as he came to a halt. "Hi! I don't think we've met- I'm Superhero! Do you like SkyClan?" He asked excitedly, his approach much more enthusiastic than Mei's. That was okay, though.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0pt; font-family: arial; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]Despite her resolve to meet her peers, Winterballad was not motivated to greet any of them first. It was convenient that Mei approached her first instead. She tuned and smiled, at first put off by the awkward uncertainty of her hello but figuring she'd greet a stranger with similar hesitance herself. Her disdain was directed more at the idea of all these uncomfortable first meetings. Winterballad's entire time in SkyClan so far had been spent on tense reunions and introductions, and though they were necessary beginnings, she looked forward to when conversation would come easy. Realizing she's been staring, Winnie blinked apologetically. "Superstition says it's bad luck when a black cat crosses your path." She said, noticing Mei's dark fur. "That sounded rude. Of course it's not true, just a thing I read. I'm Winterballad." About to go on, any thoughts were cut off by Superhero's rapid approach. He was definitely more upbeat, although Winnie doubted she could match his enthusiasm. "We haven't met, but it's a pleasure now that we are." Her words were coming out much easier now, less spontaneous, though the question caught her off guard. Her experience so far had been fifty shades of uncomfortable, but that was mostly her own fault, and due to the strangeness of seeing her siblings again. Despite that, she had no complaints about the Clan. "I do like it here, I think. My family is all here."

Giving her a slight nod of acknowledgement before sitting off to the side. His expression was neutral, if not downturned as he watched Winnie interact with his newfound clanmates silently. It wasn't that he was upset, not at all, he just never had much of a reason to smile.

Ignatius gave out a scoff of laughter as Winter initiated conversation by bringing up superstition. Looking back, he recalls faintly having been told that by Winnie when they were children. "Too bad you were stuck with me for our childhood" he noted softly with a grunt, moving only a few steps closer. He wasn't big on getting close to others, he knew they'd probably leave him anyway. After, well.. his parents and all.

A kit appeared behind Super, bouncing in his paw-steps. He stopped before she would land right on him, the walked around him and tilted her head. There was a new cat here. After a moment, of seriousness, she grinned, and bounced in front of the white cat who introduced herself as Winterballad. "Hi Winterballad! Im Domino Misfit!" she greeted, her voice rumbling with a purr.
The black and white kit rolled on her back, the blue hat she found slipping off again. She didn't mind. "When did Winterballad come? Domino sorry, it only just noticed them!" she gave a small smile, her warm brown eyes staring up at the white femme.
"Winterballad, why are their ears frozen like that? Aren't they too cold?" She asked, noticing the ice on her ear tips. Was that mean to suggest? Could she help it? What if she did it on purpouse? The kit felt embarrassed to have ask that.

    "Speaking" 'Thinking' Attacking

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0pt; font-family: arial; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]"And I blame all my misfortunes on you because of it, Ignatius." Winter retorted, smiling faintly. She still felt far from having a totally normal sibling relationship with most of them since they'd spent so long apart, but it was becoming easier to fall back into the old rhythm, to feel comfortable around them again. Still, there was a level of distance with Ignatius. Winterballad didn't recall him being so secluded when they were young, but now he stood off to the side, a gap maintained. She brushed the thought off and instead turned to Domino.

"I only came a few days ago. My ears are just like that. I can do this, though." She focused on the air above Domino, microscopic water particles forming into snowflakes. Winter let the mini flurry fall, then winked. "N-ice, am I right?" The pun was bad, even by her standards, but she still couldn't help it.

  • Domino looked up to see flurries fall on her, and her eyes filled with astonishment. She had ice powers! Hearing the pun, she giggled. "That is really n-ice!" she purred, giggling again. "So... Winterballads ears sym..." she paused to think of the word, squeezing her eyes shut as if it would help. She gave up quickly to not leave the white cat waiting. "Their ears show ice powers?" she asked finally. The kit already liked Winterballad, seeing her as really friendly. Maybe they could be good friends!
