    Hello, dears! I am Headmistress Mathilda Abernathy, and I would like to welcome you all, returning students and first-timers, to Hogwarts, School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! Years have passed since the war, and the school is back on track with a steady foundation, both literally and educationally (Oh ho ho!). Headmistress McGonagall placed me in her stead when she took her leave from the school, leaving me in charge and Hogwarts in capable hands! With help from other professors and myself, the school now enforces a ‘no acceptions’ discrimination policy, entailing that any means of bullying (be it against race, gender, sexual/romantic orientation, bloodlines, etc) is unacceptable.     -’No Exceptions’ Bullying Policy. Breaking of this rule is grounds for expulsion.
    -No Cheating. Breaking of this rule is grounds for expulsion (in terms of OWLS/NEWTS) or detention (regular in class assignments and tests).
    -No Violence. Breaking of this rule is grounds for detention.
    -The Forbidden Forest is OFF BOUNDS unless you are with a proper escort or there for a class. Breaking of this rule is grounds for detention.
    -No Entering Hogsmeade Without Guardian Consent or Outside of Allotted Time Slots. Breaking of this rule is grounds for detention.

    -No character may be related to any of the canon book characters.
    -Be as inclusive as possible. If you notice someone being ignored or left out, do your best to interact with them!
    -Similar to the schools ‘No Exceptions’ Bullying Policy, any sort of harassment/bullying/hatred is intolerable and will not be excused. If you are seen doing any of the above, you will be banned.
    -No power-playing/god modding of any sort!

    WRITTEN APPEARANCE:
    As her heritage is of Mexican and European descent, Olivia holds these divergent cultures close to her heart. Though she has a tan skintone, her daunting hazel eyes and face framed with auburn, curly hair describe her German heritage. Olivia's stature is unusual for her age, standing at around 5'2. Her small figure causes some to doubt her academic, and therefore physical, capabilities in class along with her height. However, Olivia never disregards makeup and the conventional habits to keep her appearance in check, always making sure she looks the best she can to be a model student for others. With this makeup, she uncharacteristicall hides the near visible scars that start from her upper lip to the bottom of her right eye.
    FULL PERSONALITY:
    Comparable to a ferret, Olivia is highly praised by her friends as not only cunning, but viciously competitive in her classes. She will help those she enjoys to be with without hesitation, however when it comes to her enemies and, godforbid, Gryffindor students, Olivia apathetically ignores their requests for aid. She is by no means shy and despises mousy students who get in the way of progress. Unlike most of her classmates, Olivia is not easily angered. Through much patience and tolerance, she clings to her ability to remain calm in stressful situations. Despite all of this self control and toughened personality, Olivia can easily be hurt and shamed into silence. This flaw is hidden with a wall of fake arrogance and throughout her odd years as a student of Hogwarts, Olivia has never let this wall decay, especially in front of professors. Her dispassionate rebellion towards her parents has allowed her to distance herself from close friends and family after her mother passed away, but she will openly deny such disparity. Nevertheless, she is fruitfully loyal and will never allow any silvertongues get in the way of her friends.

    HISTORY:
    Born to a muggle mother and wizard father, Olivia was put into a regular elementary school until she was decided, by her father, if she was of magical descent. Her parents, although not rich, were definitely not impoverished. Having moved to Mexico from Europe for no other reason than to study amongst other cultures as a newly established professor, Mr.Elswood soon developed a relationship with Irva. Through this relationship they had a child, Olivia, and soon realized that Mexico was not the best place to raise their child. They moved to Europe, travelling around several countries before eventually settling in Scotland when they realized their daughter may have magical capabilities. Olivia's parents raised her well with clear confidence and stubborn rules when it came to academics. After being invited to Hogwarts, her mother grew ill. Thought to be a simple cold, the fever developed into something far worse. Never finding out what it truly was, her father grew mad and is still trying to discover and explore his wife's unknown disease. Olivia was/is deeply saddened by these events, especially since she was extremely fond of her mother, but hasn't delved into her true feelings as of yet.
    FAMILY:
    Olivia's muggle mother who is recently deceased, Irva Ramirez, and her father, David Elswood, who is a wizard. She has no siblings but several uncles, aunts, and cousins whom she's never met but I'll develop them later in the story as it goes.
