She was, at first, a little reluctant to do this whole 'blind date' thing, but eventually had sort of 'gotten in the spirit', as some would say. Of course she was still melancholy as all hell, but at least she tried to show happy emotions around people whom she wasn't particularly comfortable around. Chrome, however, he... she didn't exactly know how to explain it but despite the little time she had known him, she trusted him almost as much as she trusted Astercrown or Greypaw... a rarity, to earn her trust so rapidly. Perhaps it was the kind way in which he interacted with and handled her children, or maybe she was simply getting over her fear.

A trail of scattered daisies in her wake, the undersized ragdoll stopped by the entrance of Chrome's dwelling, and lifted up a paw to tap timidly on the door. It was quiet, but... hopefully he would hear it. She was rather excited, actually. But... let's not get ahead of ourselves, shall we?

  • [align=center][fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 12px; text-align: justify;]Chrome was, in fact, not inside of his home. Instead, he had been picking flowers. Those flowers just happened to be the same flowers that always seemed to trail behind Daisysteps wherever she walked, as he had found them to be quite beautiful. Daisies were quickly becoming his favorite flower. He hummed a little song to himself as he bent and picked the daisies scattered over the grass- there was a pretty convienent path of them leading him to his house. Perhaps a bit too convienent.

Suddenly, the trail of daisies ended, and at the end was his house... and Daisysteps. He had almost forgotten that the advisor was named that because, well, it was a special power of hers. Clumsily, Chrome bumped into the female with an 'oomph' and dropped the flowers he had been collecting. "Woah! Didn't see you here, Daisysteps. Sorry!" He rubbed his head apologetically as he looked up at her, then noticed that the girl had been knocking at his door. "Um, sorry again! Did you wanna tell me something?"

Her jaw parted a little and the blindfolded child turned fearfully, but let out an exhalation of relief when she realised it was Chrome, after picking up his scent. "Ah... s-sorry! I th-thought you'd b-b-be in your d-den, and, um..." she smelt the daisies that had been picked, and wonderd why- had the other, perhaps, been collecting them? Without her sight... it was hard, to tell these things. And she wished she had her sight, of course, but... maybe it would turn out to be a good thing, in the end.

Daisies... she didn't like them. They reminded her of weakness- they were flowers that, a lot of the time, were hated since they plagues gardens with their abundance. Weakness, to submit to a higher being that though you were worthless, a mistake, and something no-one wanted around.

She wished she could see what Chrome looked like. She... perhaps he was good looking? She didn't know, but... she wished she did- at times she hated herself. If she could see, maybe she'd learn to accept herself even more- in fact, before Ululare had kidnapped her, she was beginning to recover- however, all that progress was futile the day she returned, blind.

"You, um... remember th-the b-blind date thing? W-Well..." she paused, suddenly getting a little nervous. "I th-thought we c-could perhaps... g-go for a p-picnic? Or... s-something like that? It's a little, uhh... l-lame, maybe, but..."

  • [align=center][fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 12px; text-align: justify;]Even if daisies did plague gardens a lot of the time, Chrome would still like them. They were pretty, and even if there were a lot of them, he'd still love them all. He liked to believe that all flowers were unique and deserved to be loved- but mostly daisies, because people hated them.

With Daisysteps, a blind date was a literal blind date now. It was unironically funny, in a morbid sort of way. But honestly, Chrome hadn't expected her to say what she did. If he had known that she wanted to go on a picnic with him earlier in the week, he would have declined. But now that Daisysteps was technically handicapped, he had to do it. He had to love Daisysteps, because she deserved to be loved and not hated. She was also quite beautiful, though she couldn't see it herself.

"What kind of question is that? Of course I'll go on a picnic with you!" Chrome exclaimed, stopping himself from giving the girl a big hug. Daisysteps definitely deserved a hug. She was a great person and didn't deserve all the shit that had happened to her. "Lame? No! Picnics are totally cool, especially if you're with someone you care about!"

There were many daisies littering WindClan's territory, mainly because of the fact that Dai walked around so much, just wherever she could manage to get to- but, she was always paranoid to think that people might want to rid the lands of the flora that grew in her wake, a power she wished she could control- if she could control it, she could visit Teakit's garden without worrying she'd ruin the landscape by treading flowers everywhere and ruining he daughter's hard work. It was tough to deal with at times, but eventually... eventually one got over it, it was what Dai had to do.

The fact she was literally going in a blind date was actually rather amusing to Daisysteps, funnily enough. Most may expect her to be rather sensitive about it, but no- timid and frail as she was, the advisor was definitely capable of laughing at herself. Not always, perhaps, but sometimes. Nevertheless she was glad that Chrome was neither underwhelmed nor unimpressed by her suggestion- in fact, he seemed quite eager. He really was quite cute, wasn't he? That was the thought that kept drifting in and out of her head and she was a little cautious about it- she had never had a crush on anyone in the entire time she'd dwelled in WindClan, so the thought of being attracted to someone was a feeling alien to the fluffy white ragdoll.

"Ah, I'm, um, g-glad you like th-the, umm, the i-idea!" Dai chirped, a rare smile lacing across her lips. "D-Do you know any-any-anywhere we c-could go?"
