The point stretched his wings as he met up with the panther outside of the Exile's caves, the male finding solace in their shared mixed feelings of insecurity. There were just some things that he couldn't discuss with Nightflower, and topics it seemed Jammal didn't discuss at all...but today, maybe they'd be able to find some sort of comfort in one another.

"Jammal, are you ready to go?" He couldn't fly very well nor for very long, but he was willing to do his best to try.

But recently his joints had started to ache, in the smae way his back would after long periods of flying, The male had an idea what was going on- but he didn't want to get his hopes up, the idea of another mutation happening- brought a wince to him. He's heard horrible stories that gaining a mutation was painful.

He walked outside of camp, the panther giving his friend a grin as he stretched his own large wings out, giving a testing flap on the ground. "Of course," The male replied with a false cocky demeanor. "I'll fly under you in case you fall, okay?" Jammal said with a tone of seriousness. The first flight was always the hardest- nerves always getting to you. The male walked towards the edge, waiting for bracken to follow him there.

"Yeah, thanks." as long as they could get away from camp he'd be happy. "I'll be depending on you to lead the way though." Verbally or through some sort of cue, he was going to attempt to follow the panther in any way that he could. This would be his first time looking down on the territory from such a vast vantage point, if left to his own devices he'd get lost. "-and I'll let you know if I start loosing it." Bunching up on the edge of the cliff side, the male would do his best not to look down.

Even if they were in quarantine, there were still ears. Conversation to be taken out of context, gossip was active as hell around here.

Jammal nodded, giving an encouraging nod to the other. he would wait a moment, then two before he quickly aimed to push the other off. It would be a long fall, and the panther jumped down after him, spreading his wings- a powerful flap of his wings as he tried to get under him. "Open your wings!" Within bracken's supposed mind of panic he would hopefully hear the voice of reason, if not? Well, Jammal flipped over, his paws outstretched to catch the domestic feline if he didn't heed the warning. There was no embarrassment to the first fall. everyone did it.[hr][/fancypost][fancypost bgcolor=transparent; border: 0px solid black; color: silver; width: 450px; font-family: verdana; font-size: 8pt; text-align: justify; word-spacing: -2px; line-height: -2px; margin-top: -7px;]

At first he thought he had stumbled but no, it was a shove. If he had been left to his own devices to jump he might not have done it, and the fear of falling even now delayed bright white wings from extending out like they were meant to immediately. They popped out and offered a bit of a buffer, but he lost more time reminding himself to move his wings in order to really stop the fall. It was a slow and laborious flap, feathers fanning the air as he tried to suck in his gut as if it would make himself lighter.

He had nearly fallen into Jammal's waiting catch, but he managed a cover. It was clear that he wouldn't be airborne for very long, but he was making the effort to keep some sort of stability in the air. "This...is a lot of work!" he shouted above the wind. How did the panther make it look so effortless?

Unlike most flyable animals, they didn't have hollow bones, makeing flying harder. Jammal was born with wings, and even with a detached tail he stumbled upon landing.

jammal was ready to catch bracken, but smiled brightly at the male as he caught himself in the air."Nice save!" The panther encouraged him, keeping a steady pace with the other. Like a shadow the panther stayed under him, flying upside down was a new experience entirely.

He didn't know about all of the special bone stuff and likely wouldn't grasp it if mentioned, but he'd pant anyway. "I thought...I was fit!" he shouted above the wind. "I feel hella....fat!" Super heavy. There was a reason that all cats didn't have wings, but he was still struggling to make it look natural. "...whaaat? How are you...upside down? Show off!" the male was grinning like a wild man, pelt fluffed out in the wind.
