Edwards School of Fantastical Beasts (Plot Discussion Thread)

    In anticipation of the upcoming film "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", I could not help but feel that this HAD to be a thing. The idea, I think, is a simple one: another wizarding school where the main courses deal not only with magical arts, but also how to use them to interact with magical creatures. I also thought it would be cool for the students to be given their own creature during their freshmen year that they have the responsibility of raising throughout their years at the school.


    I'm open to how anyone feels about it, and maybe we can discuss a plot that will go along with it!

    I like the ideas you have goin' on. Maybe as a large plotish thing something "a-really-big-monster-escaped-and-we-have-to-stop-it-before-we're-exposed" kinda thing?

    I admit I do find appeal in that idea. However, I'm slightly hesitant as it's similar to what's hinted at in the movie (but then, it hasn't come out yet; it could go quite differently than I think it will)

    So after thinking about it at home, I think your idea may actually be the best plot so far since a) it provides a sort of quest for the charries to complete, and b) it could eventually tie in to some greater scheme that will ultimately lead to a suspenseful story. So I guess I was worried for nothing XD.

Advertising in signatures is another. I can ask a couple friends who might be interested as well.

    Finally! I haven't into full detail yet on the page with rules and such, but number one rule is this: That the students find creatures that match their grade (except for William (my charrie) but he's going to be lucky).


    What creature does he get exactly? Oh, it'll be a surprise.
