Danielle shrugged as she adjusted her position upon the couch, wincing a bit as she did so. "I don't know.."
-
"Forget about the television right now, what's bothering you? I saw you jolt as soon as you moved, so tell me what's wrong so I can attempt to make you feel better."
-
She blinked and stares at him for a moment. She shrugged as if she didn't know what he was talking about.
-
"Please don't hesitate to tell me if there is anything hurting you alright." As he was about to turn his attention to the television he realized that the rain had stopped and she no longer had a reason to stay with him.
-
Danielle frowned at him. She stared awkardly at the ground.
-
"You don't have to leave if you don't want to. To be honest, it's quite lonely around her, so my door is always open to you, so don't be sad" he smiled. He held out his hand as a form of comfort. "I can protect you if you will let me."
-
She stared at him as if he was nuts for a moment before smiling a tiny bit. "I-I guess I can stay, if you'll let me.. Truth is, I have no where to go."
-
"Why didn't you tell me this earlier. Of course you can stay with me but first we need to go to the mayor's office. He set up an allowance for me and he can do the same for you. We can still live together and you Can have spending money to do whatever you would like with it. We can also register you in school and take care of any educational problems that you might have. Does that sound like a plan?" He asked.
-
"S-Sure.." She stammers, smiling sheepishly. "Only if it's okay with you.."
-
"Of course it's alright with me. Do you have anything you want to before we head out. If you want to wash up then the bathroom is down the hall. If you want to get out of your wet clothes then you could go grab a few sweatshirts and sweatpants to wear. Anything of mine is yours, so don't be shy" he grinned.
-
Danielle smiles a small, sheepish smile. "Okay.." She says, slowly rising from the couch. "I-If it's okay.." She shifts a bit.
-
"Of course it's okay, I'll go get a towel and start up the shower." He walked down the hall and into the bathroom, he tested the shower water to make sure it wasn't to hot. He then went into his room and grabbed a towel and a rag for her. He set it on the hanger on the shower door. "Everything is ready," he called as he waited outside of the bathroom.
-
"T-Thank you." She says softly, blinking thoughtfully at him as she slowly entered the bathroom.
-
Kai smiled warmly at Danielle before walking out. "I will be in the living room, so call me if you need something." He then walked away towards the living room. He turned on a comedy movie and waited for her to finish.
-
Danielle finished her shower after a while, walking out of the bathroom with new clothes on and a new bandage upon her arm. She walked into the room Kai was settled in.
-
"Are you feeling any better?" He asked as he muted the T.V. And stood up. He walked towards her and gently placed a hand on her shoulder. He gently gazed into her eyes and smiled "If your alright, let's go for a walk."
-
She nodded, having put his hoodie back on after the shower, adjusting it because it was bigger than her. She gives a small smile.
-
Kai held out his hand for her to take and grinned. "Let's go to the mayor's office, we will register you for school and get you an allowance." He waited for her hand to come into contact with his before he decided to start walking.
-
She hesitated before placing her hand in his. She slowly followed him, smiling slightly.
