  • "Well, eat as much as you want. I get an allowance from the country since I live alone and I don't mind sharing with you. That's enough talking please eat I insist." He smiled warmly as he dug into his food. He reached for the ketchup in the middle of the table and poured some on his plate. He pushed it towards her as an offer.

  • "Thanks.." She says with a small smile as she takes the condiment slowly, using it upon the food on her plate. She ravenously begins to eat as if she wouldn't see food again for a while. She then stopped with slight embarrassment at her behavior.

  • Kai stopped eating and gave her a bright smile. He was happy to see that she was enjoying herself. "Don't worry, there is a lot more where that come from so take your time. You won't go hungry when you're over here."

  • She blinked gratefully at Kai. "T-Thanks.." She murmured gently as she finished eating.

  • "No problem, do you want more?" he asked. "I can warm up some more food if you would like," he said as he finished up eating. Kai enjoyed the company even if she didn't like him very much.

  • "No, I'm alright, thanks.." Danielle says gently, eyeing him for a moment as if briefly observing him. She then glances around the room, zoning out as if thinking about something.

  • Kai got up and took both of the plates to the sink. "Do you want to watch television while we wait for the rain to stop. You get to choose the channel if you want to that is." He extended his offer in order to create a safe environment.

  • "No, I'm okay.." She answered truthfully. "I quite frankly don't know how to use one anyways." She answered, frowning.

  • "That's unheard of. Everyone should know how to use a television set. Go to the living room and sit down on the couch. I will teach you how to use a remote. I will join you in after I finish washing the dishes." He explained.

  • "It's fine. Really." Danielle protested, frowning as she watched him. "It's not a big deal." She said with a small shrug of her shoulders.

  • "At least give it a try, you might like it. Besides what else do we have to do until the rain stops. This way you don't have to talk to me if you don't want to and you can watch a show to get your mind off of reality."

  • It didn't take long for Kai to wash all of the dishes, so he was in the living room rather quickly. He patted the seat next to him and grabbed the remote preparing to give a demonstration. He turned the power on by pressing the button on the top right of the remote.

  • Danielle frowned and she sits down beside him. "This is so weird...*

  • "I didn't know that sitting next to me would be such a bad thing," he teased. "Don't worry, if it's that weird you can sit anywhere you'd like." He smiled and said "Just make sure you can see the remote."

  • Danielle frowned at him. "Sorry.." She frowns, sitting close to him, but a distance.

  • "You don't have to apologize, just be honest and I will accept that. Consider me a friend and as your friend you are welcome to anything in my home including this remote. So, I insist please take the remote and let me teach you how to operate a television."

  • She frowns and nodded slowly. She takes the object and stares at it. She bit her lip softly.

  • Kai leaned over and pointed at the power button and simply said "This turns the T.V. off and on. The numbers down at the bottom are used for tuning into a specific channel and those to buttons are for volume and changing the channel. Do you have any questions?" he asked

  • Danielle shook her head slowly as she listened to his words. "I'm good.."
