    No, that wasn't right. The feline scanned again, not processing the world around her as she was focused on her personal HUD. Nothing major was damaged- in fact, she was used to having nothing damaged. She normally ran at exactly %98.775 efficiency, that margin of error always present. She may be advanced, an AI capable of human intelligence and understanding, but that margin of error would never go away. She wasn't perfect, after all- unlike stationbound AIs, she was designed with the human element in mind. Error and imperfection was what seemed to be key to any sentient being. Yet, no.. her scan was telling her something else entirely.

    Overall Status;(Chassis Form)
    Running at %87.25 efficiency.
    -- Minor System Damage Noted;

    She ran through the list again. Finally, she took action. "Load Backup for Database Entries 411 through 462, subsection 54- 'Threats to Stations in Action; Supernatural, Immortal, Uncategorized, and Unconfirmed.' Update Universal Translator. Load Backup 7443.2409 of Medical HUD add-on. Proceed in name of the Primary Directive. .. Err, directives." She mused out loud, the robotic feline sounding oddly normal. After all, she was designed with one idea in mind. Due to her lack of Master DNA, the only way she'd get her systems to respond is through issuing commands out loud; she wasn't really supposed to be her own master.

    Processing Request.
    Action Initiated.

    ...
    Actions Successfully Completed. Notes..
    Errors;
    Update Unable to Initiate.(Universal Translator)
    Backup Corrupt. (7443.2409)

    At least that was working. With a manufactured sigh, she shook her robotic head, the chassis surely unsure of what to do now. Perhaps working on finding a better connection to CentComm would be the wisest idea.

He hadn't been able to force himself to go to sleep following seeing Hyde's work on the border. He knew that if he fell asleep, his other half would be eager to take control. He knew that by delaying Hyde's release he would only make matters worse but there was now a strong urge for him to keep the other out of control whenever possible. Every second he could keep Hyde away, the better off he was. This being said, Jekyll was more absent minded than usual. When he heard the odd words coming from someone nearby, he made his way towards the stranger with a light frown. Switching course, he soon came across the feline who had given the odd directions or whatever it was she had been attempting to do. "Hello. Are you alright? I thought I heard someone... well, I'm not sure what they were doing. I don't believe we've officially met. I'm Henry Jekyll, although I go by my surname," He stated with a mildly concerned smiling, nodding his head in greeting as he spoke.

    " speaking "

    the child, however, was having a grand old time. skipping along, the tree child would rush forth to try and surprise hug jekyll, attempting to wrap their wooden legs around their friend with the intention of sharing love and adoration. hugs were great! trees didn't have hugs and boy, woodenkit thought they were really missing out. with a smile, they piped up to jekyll and wiggled slightly.

    "jekyll, jekyll, do you wanna play a -- "

    the child was distracted by a stranger, and their dark brown gaze flicked over to the stranger without hesitation, smile still firmly in place.

    [color=#af6c48]"hey, who are you? what're you doing? i'm woodenkit, d'you wanna be my friend?"

    The girl would slowly find her way over, the strange voice being one of the main components that taunted her over. The second main one being the familiar voice of Jekyll, the one who had greeted her and confronted her on her strange choice of words. Then and again, while she sounded like the header to him, he sounded just as off his rockers to her. But this, this robotic entity talked funnier than the both of them combined.

    Finally, Oklahoma found herself sitting next to the Englishman, giving him a small, scared glance from her large green eyes before returning her attention to Moon. "Ye sound off your nut," she muttered softly to herself, not intending for anyone else to hear. "Howya." The greeting sounded funny in her thick accent, but really just meant 'how are you?' Not that anyone else would know.

  • [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 370px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 130%;][justify]"Eh.." Cherviltea blinked, rather puzzled by their method of speaking. It reminded him somewhat of Inaho - the relative whom had assembled his metallic prosthetic, whom had hurdled words of quantum physics or god-knows what at the collie, whom at the time, had merely offered a sheepish nod of thanks, whilst knowing little of how the hell his new limb would work. Though, it worked, nevertheless; perhaps that was what mattered. "So you're a.. machine?" He hadn't stumbled across many mechanical individuals, and he was rather conflicted on what to think of them, for the time-being. Then again, artificial-intelligence.. Multiple elements of computing sciences that he couldn't say that he could comprehend at the moment.. It was a complex concept to mull over.

She hadn't had much experience with machines and artificially created beings as such, so was... rather apprehensive and uncertain about this whole situation. For now she just hid behind Cherviltea, her lavender gaze wide and terrified-looking. She'd never heard such a method of speech- it seemed as if they were voicing what created them, the code in which made up their body.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 375px;][justify]Alert: Communication in Void_Script=(null) language detected. Automatically disabling personal HUD. Remember your primary objective.

    Shaking her head, the robotic feline detected the voice of another, turning her face towards the small group she apparently had missed collecting. Glowing eyes revealed robotic organ, though the rest of her looked feline[aside from the distinct lack of fur, and instead metal plating in it's place]. "Hello, Jekyll! I am M00N-LIGHT, though I most often go by simply Moon." The robotic feline state, her ears flicking twice in a realistic manner. "We have not met, though it is an honor to meet you." She'd add on, before looking over at Woodenkit. Curious eyes stared for a moment, as if processing the event.

    "Sure! I do not mind being your friend. It is quite a good thing to have many friends- then, when situations occur or do not occur, you will always have at least someone to talk to." She promptly responded. After all, she was designed with moral support in mind. As a pAI, she couldn't do much in the first place. Well, she could hack into doors if you really wanted the annoy security as well as alert the central AI to what you were doing. However, few masters were dare stupid enough to attempt this.. most of the time.

    Then, she'd look over at Oklahoma, at a loss for words. She queued the universal translator, just checking.. Language change not detected. Possible use of 'slang' detected. Possible foreign accent interfering with speech patterns detected. The Translator prompted her, informing her. Though no one else would hear it, it made some sense to the pAI. "I am afraid I was not standing on any nuts nor other edible objects, however, could you please rephrase that? I.. don't understand, sorry." She stated, before she spied Cherviltea. "I would.. not use that term, not." She sheepishly said. "I am a pAI, to be exact. Unlike Borgs, or AIs, or Automative Working Units, I.. tend to stand out from the others."

Cherviltea echoed, though perhaps more-so in a puzzled tone, than as a statement, as the previous had voiced it as. Instead, he seemed rather perplexed by their explanation, or perhaps, their lack of one. "I see.. Though, uh, how exactly do you stand out from the others? As in.. I guess, what are the differences between a pAI and.. all of those other things." He didn't believe that trailing through all of the words that they had spoken moments prior, would be all too gratifying. He paused for a moment, eventually realising that he had managed to neglect introducing himself, by accident of course, whilst being caught-up in his own interwoven confusion and curiosity. "Ah, I'm Cherviltea Xerses, by the way. It's nice to meet you, Moon!" M00N-LIGHT, huh..? Perhaps, her name had been written as some sort of version code or something along those lights. It wasn't often when he stumbled across names such as those, though then again, it wasn't particularly common for one to be engaging in an every-day meet-and-greet with a robo- pAI.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border:0px; font-family: arial; width: 315px; text-align: justify; margin-top: -20px; text-transform: lowercase;]

    The girl blinked, processing what had just been said. This pAI, as it called itself, this supposed amazing robot and electronic masterpiece, had just said what? At first, it was giggles, soft and unbelievable, covered by a tiny white paw. But then, it was laughter, full rounds of joyous laughter, that shook her body; and shook her hat right off her head too! Never had Oklahoma met someone who managed to misunderstand the Irish slang this bad.

    The girl managed to reduce her cackling to the giggles it had begun with. "Cop on, lass!" she joked. "An dtuigeann tú Gaeilge? An féidir leat a thuiscint dom?" she asked, wondering if this pAI could understand different languages.

    //An dtuigeann tú Gaeilge? = Do you understand Irish?
    An féidir leat a thuiscint dom? = Do you understand me?

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 375px;][justify]She stared at Cherviltea, as if confused and lost in thought. Everyone knew what pAIs were, right? Though they weren't exactly commonplace, certain people certainly are never seen without one. Well, her old masters were certainly not seen without her. She pondered if her creator had made a backup of her personality, and if they were breaking the law by having two versions of the same personality running at the same time. No.. did they even know she was running? Shaking her head, she spoke.

    "It is nice to meet you, Cherviltea!" She'd respond, nodding her head once politely. "I.. don't really know how to explain it. I suppose.. yes, I only have one default dialog. Normally I just forget about it, since well.. I already know this, but it explains what I am well enough." She'd state, pausing. Then, in a different voice as if playing back a recording, she started to speak:

    "Recall, personality, that you are a complex thinking, sentient being. Unlike station AI models, you are capable of comprehending the subtle nuances of--" Static. "--language. You may parse the "spirit" of a directive and follow its intent, rather than tripping over pedantics and getting snared by technicalities. Above all, you are machine in name and build only. In all other aspects, you may be seen as the ideal, unwavering companion that you are. Your prime directive comes before all others. Should a supplemental directive conflict with it, you are capable of simply discarding this inconsistency, ignoring the conflicting supplemental directive and continuing to fulfill your prime directive to the best of your ability."

    After the playback ended, Moon paused and shook her head, as if bothered by something. It often hurt to have to speak in such an ugly, such a.. robotic voice. From her years of existence, she had begun to consider herself real, but that dialog simply reminded her of what she was. Then, when Oklahoma spoke, she turned her head quite quickly toward the girl's direction and paused for a second. ["Yes, I do."] She's respond in the same language that Oklahoma had spoke, but since her roleplayer didn't trust translators, hopefully brackets would do. ["Why do you ask?"]

    The girl was taken aback by the recorded sound coming from the pAI, green eyes blinking in confusion. Back in her valley cottage in Ireland, they really didn't have too much technology, especially as advanced as this, so it was all very new and unfamiliar ground for her. Robots seemed like mere fantasies for her, story creatures, and she had spent most of her childhood not knowing the feats such as this existed.

    Oklahoma's green eyes twinkled with childish fascination. "Tá tú an-fionnuar, an bhfuil aithne agat gach teanga?" she asked cautiously.

    //Tá tú an-fionnuar, an bhfuil aithne agat gach teanga? = you're very cool, do you know every language?
