Ezra lay on the altar. It was here he felt closest to the Unnamed, with a hole in the ceiling basking him in His light, the box of unclaimed rosaries against his flank. He stared at his followers, wondering if his priest would return soon.
He also wanted to know where his trainees, Convel and Teli were. He was planning to assign one of them Zelana as their mentor instead, since she was now ready to take on a trainee herself.

Zelana sat proudly upon one of the pews, watching as Erza lay on the alter. The trainees should arrive soon, for the sunhigh training was about to begin. Zelana flicked her tail impatiently.
"What are these young kits thinking? To be late... why it's a sin!" She thought incredulously. She knew Erza intended for one of them to be her pupil, and she was anxious to get started. After all, to please the Unnamed, there was a lot that needed to be learned.

Track for now

Slow, unsteady breaths could be heard from the weary kit. Her life was simply ruined due to the fact that her mother... Nevermind. Shaking all of these traumatic thoughts from her mind, Asuca treads on forward. She had eavesdropped on some strangers the day before about cats apparently residing in the forest with a pond in the east. 'I cannot go back to that life anymore! Will the cats in the forest accept me then?" Her worries starting to appear again, Asuca rushes to find shelter..until she stumbles on an old, abandoned church. What in the world was a two-leg building doing in a forest? A sense of foreboding flooded her as the maine coon took one step closer...

Sasha was already up and awake, and was practicing her balance by walking along the top edge of the back pews, and although every now and then she would slip, her small paws kept her relatively balanced for now. She lived a somewhat quiet life so far, other than the circumstances around her birth of course.
-
Ezra's slanted eyes closed in on Sasha, fumbling around on the pews. Even her presence angered him, reminding him of the first time one of his own, one of the Undefiled, had sinned beyond salvation. Had sinned against him, gone against him. He supposed that little incident had it's upsides though, considering it had cemented the rules of the group and his authority. No cat had tried to challenge him when he sacrificed her mother. Some even showed support, slandering the she-cat while Ezra raked his claws down her belly again and again and again, a smile perched on his lips.
He supposed he ought to think of a less barbaric way to sacrifice sinners, but that way was just so fun.
Still, despite the depravity of her birth, he quite liked little Sasha. Sure, she would never have his respect, but he did find her unrelenting tenacity towards her present task cute. As if she thought mastering walking along those pews would let her walk amongst the Saved in the next life.
He grinned at her, and trotted over. He leaped effortlessly onto the pews and stared down at her, blocking her path. He was about to say something to her when he noticed something out of the corner of his eye, a little kit just outside of the building.
He leapt back off the pews, calling out,"Come outside, Zelana, we have a guest to welcome", before smoothing the soft tuft of hair on his chest, and trotting outside with a smile that was much warmer than the predatory one he had given Sasha.
"Hello, little one, what are you doing here?" he asked the little she-cat, cocking his head a bit.
-
Zelana's ears pricked and with a nod she followed her leader outside to find a small kit. Her first thought was one of hope, perhaps this kit could be recruited. That alone exited her. Outwardly though, she remained calm and collected.
-
One cautious step, and someone had already spotted the outsider. Wait, not one, but two! Asuca felt a pang of nervousness as the two cats approached her. The male was probably the leader, and the female his follower, or whatever they called it. Hearing his friendly question and seeing the warm smile led the clueless kitten to believe that they were harmless. "I...am looking for a place to stay." Asuca muttered, silently averting eye contact. However, she wasn't very trusting of him yet, and it would stay that way until she found a reason to.
-
Curious, Sasha had padded over to sit in the doorway, knowing that shews not supposed to leave the church. She knew that most of the NPC's here would want her killed for even the smallest infraction, and not just because of the normal rules. No, she was an outcast even within the group, all because of a mistake her mother had made. Well, that and the fact the rest of her siblings had died.
-
He struggled to keep himself from smiling too much. He was just so excited about this kit. She'd be easy to convert, all he'd have to do is make her trust him. And getting kits to trust you was a piece of cake; or should I say a piece of fresh-kill.
"Looking for a place to stay? Well, if you'd like, you're welcome to stay here. We have some fresh-kill in that building over there," he said, flicking his tail in the direction of the church. He had been about to say that she had to go through a ceremony before she could eat it, but he figured that she would be scared off by that. He'd let her eat under a close watch by the altar, and then initiate her with Zelana's help.

Wolf
Convel tugged thorns out of his adopted brothers pelt as they walk, a ton of thorns covered his pelt and Telis fur was tainted with specks of blood. "Where we supposed to be goin' Wolfy?" His tattered ear flicked, listening to Telis words. He shrugged his shoulders, a slight pain coursing through them as he did. "Gotta go meet the messenger or something," His tail flicked and Teli dropped his head. "Oh we're gonna get sacrificed for this!" He chuckled as he listened intently. "No we won't, why do you say that? Is it because if they found out that yo-" "Sh!" He perked his ears as Teli looked ahead, hearing the faint voices of Ezra, Zelana and someone he couldn't place. He walked ahead into the clearing, trying to take the thorns out of his skin while Teli tried to clean the blood off him.[fancypost bgcolor= transparent; bordercolor= transparent; width: 500px; height: 5px; border-bottom: 3px double black;][/fancypost][/fancypost]

"Ah, thanks." Asuca said nonchalantly, her stomach grumbling loudly at the mention of food. She padded past her welcomers and into the abandoned church. "So this is what a 'church' looks like..and there really were cats in the forest." She mumbled to herself as she glanced at the other members, then to the fresh kill. For some reason, this whole situation slightly nerved her. These cats were friendly, and what was there to worry about? Asuca tried to rid of her worrying again as she started to eat the kill.
-
Zelana watched as the young kit walked past them into the church. She was pleased. This kit would be one of them. From the edge of the woods she saw the two trainees, Wolf and Covel emerge. So there they were. Her ears flattened as she looked to Erza. What would he do?
-
"Oh, hello Convel. And Teli, of course," He grinned, chuckling a bit. He was on a high from the hope of a new follower.
"You two are just inseparable," He said, stretching out the last word. "Anyway, Zelana here is ready to take on a trainee, and since you are both mine, I figured I'd give her one of you. Tell, you're her trainee from now on." He quite preferred Convel to his brother; he had a much leveler head on his shoulders, and he even saw a bit of potential in the young tomcat. He turned to Zelana.
"Come on, we ought to initiate our new member. She's an outsider. Her blood is swarming with sin, even if she's just a kit. We have to bleed her. She can't have a rosary until she's a God's servant, but the next best thing is some water to cleanse her," He said, before flicking his plumy tail at Convel and Tail. "And you two are welcome to watch." -
Sasha had bounced over to asuca, grinning. "Are you here to join? " the small tabby asked, purring in excitement

the muscular tabby tom sat patiently on top of one of the pews. his head was lifted high, as his bright yellow gaze swept over the cats that were around. his ears flicked and swerved as he picked up on mulitple conversations, none of them he was particularly interested in.
will parted his jaws into a wide yawn, before padding on the pew. his gaze flickered after his leader, erza and barely missed what he was saying to convel and teli. with interest, he bounded over to them, but kept his distance, certainly not wishing to interupt anything he was in the midst of. Asuca had finished her meal before a rather enthusiastic kit skipped over to her. Oh wow. The other's joy reminded the lackluster kit about her optimistic past self. Ah, how she secretly wished to become like her without trauma and grudge. "..Join?" Asuca repeated. "If you mean by staying here with your group, then yes."

[i]Interacting w/ Each other
Mentioned: Erza
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Convels ears flicked as the Messenger spoke and Teli giggled as he said 'inseparable'. Though his laughter quickly ceased when he heard he was going to have a new mentor, which in response he moved closer to his adopted brother. "I don't want a new mentor, I like training with Wolfy" He meowed more to himself than anyone else. Teli was a very weak cat and didn't learn to quickly, so after every training session his brother would help him perfect every move. Convel watched as Teli nuzzle more and more into him, unknowingly digging the thorns deeper into his skin but he neared the pain for him. His head turned towards Erza as he spoke, and he felt his brother flinch as he spoke about bleeding the kit. Teli was a loner before coming here and went through it as well, but he remembered it more violently than he ever could.

Ezra's eye twitched. He had lost count of how many times he had disobeyed him so nonchalantly, so slightly. Almost as if he didn't notice his own transgressions. But the others did; how could they not? So he had to keep up appearances. He was thankful that the tomcat was too dense to notice his little exhibitions of annoyance.
"Do you think I'd change your mentor without your best interests in mind, Teli? I don't want to split you two up, but I cannot properly teach you both at once, especially in the ways of the Unnamed. You'll still be together during training for fighting, hunting, all those things, since me and Zelana will teach them together," he said. -
Ssh grinned. "I hope they'll let me watch when you join," she said before bounding off to the pew she'd been climbing on earlier, and jumping onto it, her hindpaws scrabbling to get up since she was still so young. after heaving herself up, she jumped onto the arm rests and then onto the back, proudly raising her head as she was now balancing as she dug her claws into the wood.
