/ lowkey sad perc, i guess??

Ask most parents or childcare experts, and they would probably say that any toddler-equivalent kitten should probably be asleep at midnight. Hopefully way before that, because they could sleep up to twenty hours a day and this was definitely not the way to be getting it, but Perseus just... Couldn't, right now. It wasn't restlessness that keeps him from curling up somewhere safe and warm and sleeping for as long as he could manage; this feeling was heavier than that, settling low in his chest and stomach. It was kind of similar to sadness, but he can't actually think of a reason for it, not really. Nothing has changed in these last few days. Marauder is still here, he's talking to people that he would like to know, he's doing the same things that he usually does. There were a few thoughts that weren't so easily explained away, but Perc doesn't think that he wants to actually talk about those right now. They don't make sense like they should.

So instead, the clouded leopard had wandered off on his own. He knew that he probably shouldn't have, because it was late and dark and it just seemed like something that he shouldn't do, but it would only be for a little bit. Soon enough, the child had found himself seated on the cool sand of SunClan's beach, only the moon and his lonely footsteps in the sand for company so far. Perseus curls into a ball, stormy blue eyes on the water's edge, then to the faint stars above his head. It's not the same as climbing trees or making bracelets, but watching it fade and return soon has his eyes falling partially shut in exhaustion, head on his paws. "It's okay," he tells himself, words weighted and slow, because he's tired and it sounds like what he needs to hear, even though it doesn't really do anything when he says it. They're just there, empty and weird. "It's okay."

[fancypost borderwidth=0; color: black; font-size:10pt; width:410px; text-align: left] Morning felt like she should always bee the one to know everything. To know just what to do. She certainly felt much older than her four moths of age, but she wasn't- and there was only so much one could learn in four months. And, quite frankly, she didn't know what to do. But she'd try her damnest, that was for sure. Nothing would happen if you didn't put work into it.

He padded up, silent, save for the soft noise of the sand beneath his paws. [b]"The sea sure if pretty tonight, no?" He sat down, not quite close enough to touch, but could faintly feel a bit of heat form the larger child. "With the moon and stars on the water. All the constellations, the milky way." For a minute he simply gazed into the stars, lost. He wished he had his telescope with him. They often kept him awake at night, and this was one of those nights. When he noticed the two kittens traveling towards the beach, he lifted himself to his paws and slowly followed after. The feline-kitsune hated the idea of letting children venture out on their own, especially in the dark, especially where they could get killed, and so he followed them in hiding with some kind of baby sitter mind set until they reached the beach. Both of them looked a little upset for no reason that was obvious, so the Silverblood slid through and out of the bushes and headed towards the star watching young ones. "Here comes the chaperone patrol, ready to ruin your night," the vampire said jokingly as he nestled into the sand beside them, "What are you babes up to?"
