The puma was dashing throughout the ColouredClan camp, not caring that every movement caused white-hot pain to shoot through his injured ankle. He was about to break down into tears, it seemed, simply from fear that he may never see the crow again.

As much as he said he disliked Kasai and was only keeping him because it wasn't right to leave the injured bird to die, Tobio truly did care about the avian. He'd never admit it, but he'd grown pretty attached to the little bird. And the fact that Kasai couldn't fly because his wing was still not fully healed yet didn't make him feel any better. What if a clanmate like Midnightpaw got to him and thought he was prey?

"Kore wa, Kasai omoshiroide wa arimasen! Doko ni imasu ka?" He called out desperately into the evening air, probably disturbing the peaceful atmospheres of more than a few clanmates' homes.

((translation: "This isn't funny, Kasai! Where are you?"))

Approaching the panicking clanmate, the snow leopard child frowns and furrows his brows, showing his concern, "Tobio... what's the matter?"

Muttered the sleepy apricot and cream apprentice as he wandered forward into the streets from his porch, having been awoken by Tobio's desperate Japanese yelling. The male rubbed at his eyes, groaning quietly because he had actually been having a good sleep without any nightmares for once, before blinking them open. "Nani ga atta ka?..." Shōyō yawned loudly, blinking hard before he sighed out.

/rough translation ugh, too tired to accurately translate japanese: "what happened?"

[fancypost bgcolor= black; border: 2px transparent; overflow: auto; width: 250px; height: 150px; border-radius: 15px; text-align:justify; font-family: verdana;]Now he was really beginning to panic. He'd woken people up. But he didn't feel bad at all for waking them up from what might have been good rest; there were bigger problems than their sleep! "Kasai! Watashi wa kare o mitsukeru koto ga dekimasen! Kare wa 1-bu ga atta, soshite ima, kare wa itte shimaimashita!" He was usually good at keeping himself from doing it, but the pain from his injured ankle (he wasn't supposed to be on it anyway, much less running around like a maniac) combined with the worry for his bird made him slip back into Japanese.

Shōyō replied thoughtfully, though he sort of muttered it quietly. He didn't think Tobio would like what he had said and he didn't exactly favor being hit in the head with any sort of object at the moment. But perhaps that was just as it was. Maybe Kasai went back to his home, his nest or whatever. Didn't crows fly south for the incoming winter or was that a myth? He didn't know, he never paid attention to that one bird-watching class... "Maybe he'll come back." Shōyō decided to say in English this time, wrapping his tail around himself as he shuddered slightly from the coolness of the evening. He had to reassure Tobio after all... or at least try to.

/japanese is weird sometimes so there's no literal translation to "[maybe] he went back to where he belonged" but that's as close as i got tbh

Chess couldn't really speak given her own personality, but at least whenever she spoke French she only used snippets of the language. She didn't even know that Kasai was the name Tobio had given to his beloved pet avian. She didn't understand what the fuss was about at the moment, since she couldn't understand a word of what either of her clanmates were saying. The clan spoke too much Japanese, and Chess couldn't be bothered making an effort to learn a third language. She'd probably stick with English and French and let them have their conversations. Although after a while Chess decided that she probably should have told them to stop speaking Japanese, since after a while it became slightly annoying. She wanted to know what they were saying rather than listening them to babble on about something she couldn't understand. Why did her clanmates have to speak anything that wasn't English?

In a somewhat rude fashion, the vampire would attempt to wave a paw in front of Tobio's face in a possibly annoying but playful fashion in order to get him to pay attention, although she also just felt like being annoying as payback. She needed to entertain herself somehow, and listening to Japanese wouldn't help. "Hate to interrupt your merry little conversation over there guys!" she chirped with a mischievous note to her voice, winking at Tobio in the process. "However, not all of us have unlocked the 'speaking gibberish' achievement. So do us all a favor and speak the common language, mm? Spare us from reading a Chinese dictionary!" she didn't even know what language they'd been using before, but she firmly decided that she didn't want to be locked out of the conversation. "So, who's this Casey guy you were talking about? Another guy who has gone to the grave?" she continue with her torrents of words, even getting the bird's name incorrect among several others.

[fancypost bgcolor= black; border: 2px transparent; overflow: auto; width: 250px; height: 150px; border-radius: 15px; text-align:justify; font-family: verdana;]Honestly, the feline was far too preoccupied with being worried about his pet at the moment to even think about getting angry and hitting Shōyō with something. Instead, his expression changed from one of worry and slight panic to one of hurt--with a bit of sadness mixed in there that he hoped no one would notice. How could Shōyō say something like that? Kasai was happy with Tobio, wasn't he? Or was the bird only there because he couldn't fly away? Quickly looking down at his paws in what now seemed to be shame (his emotions really were unstable, weren't they?), the male remained silent.

But of course, the silence didn't last long. The Murderer of Peace™ joined them soon, causing the male to break away from his wallowing in whatever emotions were running through his mind and body long enough to reply to Chess, not bothering to respond outwardly to her slight teasing (though on the inside he was probably blushing a bit), "Kasai, my crow. He's gone." Aand he was silently staring at his paws again.
