it was a warm, sunshine-y day in the city where bloodclan resided. bluebell was happily skipping down the street, looking for her mother or copper or maybe even another kit to play hide and seek with.

unfortunately, that would not be happening today. the tiny grey kitten took a wrong turn down a dark alley, and before she it dawned on her to leave, a much bigger kit stepped out of the shadows. he was a black and white tuxedo with a menacing look in his amber eyes. “hey punk,” the kit said, “where do you think you're going? this is our part of the city.”

“i'm sorry,” bluebell whimpered softly. “i—i'll leave.” she said, stuttering. as she turned around to leave, another large kit blocked her way. this one was a dark brown tabby, with lanky legs and shiny sharpened claws. “not so fast, punk.” the kit meowed. the first kit laughs, and bluebell shrinks into a ball. “we're going to teach you a lesson.”

the brown tabby kit slams bluebell to the ground, and the tuxedo pounces on top of her, his claws digging to her flank and drawing blood. bluebell was too terrified to even scream for help. why were they doing this to her? both kits slammed their unsheathed claws down on bluebell's frail body. then, the brown tabby raked his claws over her cheek, leaving a deep, stinging, gash.

“weaklings like you are better off dead.” one kit said with a final blow to her head. bluebell couldn't tell who it was, as she was now on the verge of blacking out. tears flowed freely down the blue abysinnian's cheeks. finally, the older kits left, leaving bluebell alone in the alley and blood oozing from her wounds.

Actually she was going to find them anyway. And kill them. But she wouldn't say that outloud. "Come back here you cowards!" She was very mad, needless to say. But she was doing her best to contain it. The voices told her to let it out. To just finish the job and kill the other kits right then and there. But she needed to wait. She needed a plan that couldn't fail.

Somehow he had heard the yowl from a few blocks away. He ran past the group of kits that ran away laughing, flashing a glare towards them.

It wasnt until he arrived on the scene did he actually suspect them though. Wide eyed, he stared down at Bluebell's blood. Finally, he narrowed his gaze and moved it onto her. "Who did this?!" He wanted to kill them, take out every ounce of their blood. No one should mess with his sister and expect not to get payback.

If she could tell him that she'd kill them too, then this would be easier. But the first thing they needed to do was he Bluebell some help. "Never mind. Worry about them later. We need to help Bluebell first."

when bluebell opened her eyes again, she saw her brother, copper, and her friend, sheer, there. that was somewhat of a relief. "ow..." was the only thing the kitten could say, as she was still physically and mentally traumatized from the experience.

Lounging, as he usually was, it was not out of the norm to experience some type of violence, particularily in the dusty wastes of the city. The tuxedo stretched against cracked concrete, bored amber eyes settling upon the scene that was unfolding before him. As it appeared, two large kits had decided to confront Bluebell, and 'teach her a lesson', as they so delicately stated. The BloodClanner rolled his eyes, bored by the juvenile behavior of the youngster thugs.

None of them had noticed him, so Haskill maintained his position in the shade, tail flicking against rough earth as he watched on without the slightest ounce of pity. Bluebell really needed to learn how to defend herself. This was BloodClan, after all, not that the neighboring rogues cared much. They were just as savage as the members, if not more. What a shame she'd have such ugly scars due to her weakness alone. Ah well, it wasn't his problem.

Not long after the bloody event, two other young cats approached the scene, still with their kit fluff on their tender little heads. Both showed apparent outrage toward the bullies, so the black and white tom cat assumed that they were friends, or perhaps even family. He wouldn't know, as he had not once spoken to any of the felines present. Stretching with a yawn, Haskill rose to murky white paws and stepped closer with a flick of his snake-like tail, an emotionless scowl masking chubby facial features.

"There are plenty of cobwebs in the warehouse, you know." The tuxedo pointed out in a flat tone of voice. With a weak shrug, he added; "And goldenrod in the fields by the barn."

[justify]"I'd teach 'em a lesson if I had my hands on 'em!", declared the kid, though anyone could tell just by the sleekness and care of his coat that he'd avoid any confrontation if his fur was at the mercy of it. When the tuxedo mentioned herbs he decided he'd be a good sport and took to a quick gait and headed along the sidewalk towards what he hoped to be the countryside. It may take some time but he'd get her the medicine she needed.

Time passed and he made it to a weather-cracked barn with faded almost brown colors. This, he supposed, was what that fellow had mentioned. Now to find goldenrod which he assumed to be yellow. He scouted around and finally found a miniature field full with assortments of yellow flowers like daffodils. He drew in a sharp breath and decided to sweep up a fair portion of all that was there and have the others figure out which was which when he returned.

There went more time fleeing away and now his huffing, panting form advanced slowly towards them, straining against the nasty tasting flowers in his mouth which he spat out when he was close to them all and then collapsed among. Phew, was that a work out or what.

  • Emmy, whom had watched silently before leaving to get cobwebs, soon returned with them stuck to her paws, having not wanted the sticky things on her pelt. "Move it. Now," Emmys voice was sharp and serious. This was a potentioal soldier, and she would not stand by and watch them die. She looked at Romeo, nodding her thanks as she picked out and began to chew up a few of the correct flowers, gently laying the poultice on the kittens wounds if she was allowed to. She then chewed up a poppy seed, and added it to the poultice on the kittens cheek. Hopefully it would help to numb it, but Emmys knowledge was mediocre, as she had taught herself most of what she knew. Her nerves were a it frayed, though she was calming down quickly, a side effect of the catnip she'd rolled in a few hours earlier. It seemed her addiction may come in handy after all.

  • [fancypost bgcolor= transparent; bordercolor= transparent; width=75px; text-align: justify; font: 12pt mongolian sans]Like Haskill, Six had been lounging nearby, and like Haskill, he hadn't stepped in when the two kits began to beat Bluebell. She'd tried to run, which was always a good option if you couldn't fight, but once she'd been surrounded she hadn't fought back or even screamed for help. She hadn't tried to bargain with them.

A small group came to help her. He recognized exactly one of the newly appeared youths: her brother, Copper. It made sense that he'd want to help her. He couldn't pin down an exact motive for the rest of them. Well, if she survived the day, perhaps she'd learn something. Stepping forward, he informed the group, "When she's better, tell her I want to see her." He wasn't completely heartless: he'd go over the attack with her, seeing if she could have done anything, and try to help her learn to keep a cool head. Okay, his motives weren't completely pure - she'd be more valuable to the clan if she learned.

After glancing around the group once more, he turned, debating the merits of hunting versus searching out Taboa and finding out if she had plans for the night.
