Do you remember the nighttime stories that your parents used to tell you? You know, the ones about fairies and magical lands? Or maybe you watched movies that had fairies, mermaids, witches, or elves? And what about all those stories that arise on nights like Halloween? Where you ever scared of finding a vampire, werewolf, ghost, or goblin? To any mere human, these were just stories, and all those things were made up and didn't exist. Well, I am here to tell you that they do exist, and they are very real. Don't believe me? Take a look for yourself. You might just be one of those "made-up story creatures".

To put it simply, Willow Branch is a sanctuary for all creatures that don't fit in with the human race. Whether they are pure blood, or mixed, they are welcomed here. Willow Branch is nestled deep in the forest, surrounded by a barrier to keep it hidden from the pure human eye. It is made to keep humans and Scaves out. Scaves will be explained later, but all you need to know right now is that they are not to be messed with. The barrier is fueled by the White Willow, and it's power is enough to keep all of Willow Branch hidden.

The Entrance

This is the entrance to Willow Branch. Thanks to the barrier, the entrance looks like an unusual formation. Some humans believe that it may have been left by ancient ones, but it doesn't matter as long as they can't see the camp beyond it. Scaves are able to see through the barrier but aren't able to get through do to their corrupt natures.

The Camp

This is the camp of Willow Branch. The building to the left with the triangle roof is where the training takes place. That is the building in which you will be taught to harness and control any powers you may have. The buildings beyond this are the library and the rooms of each refugee here.

A Small Escape

Some creatures when they arrive are scared, angry, and don't want to be around others. This is understandable. Each of us have a different story, a different experience, and it is normal to feel such feelings as these. This waterfall is where all those creatures can go for some time to themselves. It is away from camp enough to give some privacy, but it's close enough to remain inside the barrier and remain safe. The waterfall itself is roughly ten feet high and about twelve feet wide. It is deep enough to swim in comfortably, and clear enough to see to the bottom.

As mentioned before, these are creatures that are not to be messed with. They are horrid creatures that prey on the blood and power of others. However, you do not see them out in the open. No, they remain hidden in their den while they send out little messengers, call Scavengers. These are the ones that do the dirty work. They are sent to find those lost and terrified creatures that haven't found their way to Willow Branch. They lure them in with enticing promises, leading them, unknowingly, to the Scaves. It is when they are in the dens that it is too late to turn around. Scavengers are relatively weak in strength, but are very sneaky and tempting. Scaves, however, are strong and powerful, and to defeat the hold of one takes strong force of power. This is why they go after the lost and frightened because they are the ones that are new or just barely familiar to their powers.

This beautiful tree is the main source of all the power in Willow Branch. It may not look like much, but without it, Willow Branch wouldn't be hidden, or safe, from the humans and Scaves. It is taken care of by a little demon, called Pukwudgie. Unlike most demons, this little one is kind and gentle, which is why White Willow allows it to care for it. Pukwudgie doesn't speak, at all, and his main purpose and desire is to care and take care of White Willow.

Here at Willow Branch, we have specific people who are willing to help everyone enhance their abilities.

[b][i]Teachers

- They are here to instruct you on how to make your life easier against humans and Scaves. The subjects taught here are Combat, Power Control, Power Enchantment, Potion Science, Spell Casting, and Summoning. These subjects will come more naturally to some species rather than others, but it is important for all students to have an understanding of it all. It can prove helpful for hiding or protection from humans, and fighting of Scavengers and Scaves.

Medical - These two are the ones that hold all the nursing needs for Willow Branch. The main Medical is the one with the most knowledge about medicine and treatments, and can have an assistant to train in their footsteps.

Guards - These are the ones that stand guard over the barrier and go out with the Seekers in search for Lost Creatures. These are the ones that are skilled in battle and are the ones that keep the Scavengers away from the Seekers and lost creatures.

Seekers - These are the ones that travel with the Guards outside the barrier in search for new and Lost Creatures. They are skilled in listening and sight, though not so much in battle. They are built of a smaller frame than the Guards so rely on them to fight off the Scavengers. Seekers help the Lost Creatures find Willow Branch, and they make sure to keep them safe as they journey there.

Lost Creatures/Students - These are the ones that are either new or very minimally exposed to their form or powers. Outside the barrier, they are called Lost Creatures, but inside, they are Students. These can be pure breed creatures, or half-blood. Either way, they are welcomed to Willow Branch for protection. [/fancypost][/fancypost][/fancypost]

Miley is a small girl, standing around one and sixty-five centimeters. She has a small frame, and to many may look weak and fragile. She weighs in at only fifty four kilograms, but she has a lot of fight underneath. Her hair is a rich auburn color, much like the red in fall. It's cut short, touching just above her shoulders. Her eyes pose a rich golden color, very bright when paired with her auburn hair. Her skin is pale, though she has plenty of freckles to add some color to her. Her nose is gently rounded, her eyebrows thin and straight, and her body slender.

At first glance, Miley would be described as distant or reserved. She doesn't like large crowd, and prefers to only have a few close friends as opposed to many. She is cautious around others due to her past, however if you get to know her, it all changes. She acts tough to protect herself, but she is actually gentle and caring underneath. She is loyal and responsible, though will fight till she goes down. Though there are times when she likes to just be alone, she also likes to hang out with friends and have fun. Parties aren't her setting, but she'll give them a shot.

Due to her small size, Miley is quick and flexible. She is able to shapeshift into a red fox rather quickly and as a fox, she retains the abilities of a fox. In her human state, she is able to use the better night vision of a fox, but that's about it.

Miley was born into a wealthy, and well known, family. Though she didn't know this until recently, her mother was a shifter, and her father is not. Her father is a wealthy business man who was well known in the community, and has a status to uphold. Miley was raised to be a very respectful daughter, and always got good grades in school to make her father proud. However, all of this changed in a matter of moments.

One day, Miley came home to angry neighbors at her home, and she wasn't sure why. Her mother was the target of all the anger, and Miley was kept away from her. You see, Miley's community knew of shape shifters and were frightened by them. They were different, had "animal instincts", and were tagged as dangerous. Miley's mother was found out. The next day, Miley's mother went missing, and she hasn't seen her since.

One day, she had enough hiding and feeling apart, so she went away to find the Willow Branch. She had heard of the sanctuary for creatures like herself, and was determined to one day find it. She stumbled onto the entrance, waking up in a dark forest. It wasn't long before a seeker found her, and brought her to the place she had always dreamed of finding. There she worked at her hardest, growing in her skills and strength. She moved into the position of Guard and works hard to keep her new sanctuary safe.

They lived most of their life in fear, scared of when either the town folks or Scaves would get him. And having lived most of their life in fear, stayed an animal most of the time to hide. They somehow ended up in the middle of forest around the camp, running and hiding from the seekers, until finally getting caught(they had to literally drag him inside of a net to get him to come). After a long time of being an animal like being, hadn't really known how to be civil, so they had to relearn how to properly do things. After doing that, he was taught to how harness the powers he was given, which many found that he had also been blessed by the Norse healing entity, Frey. From those abilities he had, he became the Medical Apprentice and eventually, main Medical.

In fairy form, Virgil is small, with light skin, soft hair, and a somewhat nimble build. His hair falls to his chin at its longest point, mainly bundling over the right side of his face, the same area the white streak is. The white is a natural part of his hair. Think of it as something like partial albinism in humans. His eyes are a light blue color, often curiously looking about. His ears are somewhat oddly shaped, seeming almost feathery in appearance, with little stud piercings in them. Four stamen-like antennae poke out of his hairline, paired on the left and right, dark orange in color. The ends glow slightly yellow in the dark. A few more similar stamen-like tails are bundled lower on his body.
He has six wings, resembling the petals of a tiger lily in appearance. These, like the ends of his stamen, and his orange flower markings not unlike tattoos, also glow an amber color in darkness when he's of good health. The orange markings cover the outer parts of his arms, sides, shoulders, legs, cheeks, and back. His legs bend slightly like a cat's would, having little padded feet as well. In fairy form he usually wears a cropped black tank top-like shirt, not unlike a sports bra in appearance, and little shorts that match. He's probably doing it to show off his flower markings. He's about 4'10" in this form.
In human form he's about 5'4". He wears glasses with thin, rectangular frames. His hair is a tad bit longer and fluffier. He's often wearing a light blue sweater, and comfortable pants and shoes.

He can be easily flustered if he's found himself crushing on someone. Humans easily pique his personality, as does pretty much anything humanoid that's larger than him. That might spell his doom at some point or another, considering things like Scaves and Scavengers are humanoid and larger than him. Protect him.

Virgil has always lived on his own, and has always been aware of his existence as a fairy. He's been a bit of a recluse most of his life, but after discovering humans, he's been nearly caught time and again due to his curiosity leaving him luring closer to civilization than what is safe for him. Most of the time, he's alone in a clearing in the woods, tending to a garden he's grown himself with his affinity with plants. Upon hearing of a place for creatures like him that can guarantee him safety, he's eager to discover just where the heck this place even is.

There's a concept I came up with concerning the type of fairy Virgil is called corruption -- his kind can't often deal with negativity very well, so if things like his anxiety, fear, or other stuff fester in him too long, his colors will dull and go dark and he'll end up somewhat malevolent and unstable, of sorts. Perhaps he wanders off and gets taken away by a Scavenger later on and ends up having to be rescued, but he comes back trying to recover from going a bit corrupt while trying to not end up dead to a Scave. Idk.

Tiny, small, whatever variation of short you'd like to call him, you're most likely to get punched in the face. With striking bleached golden locks, baby plump cheeks and lips, along with with the most glassy eyes you'd ever seen, he looks like a kid. The only thing that makes even close to what age he actually is, probably his tail and ears. Hulders are often considered young spry forest creatures, when they're fully grown, they can stand about 4 ft to 5 ft, gender doesn't matter. Very different from their elven relatives, though often mistaken for one because of their ears, Hulder have tails. Most of the time, it has the tail of a mule, but rare Hulder have the tail form of a lizard or dragon, which is what Oreken has.

Hulder are often used for enslavement by High elf familys, like Orekens family was. His whole family was captured when he was very young, and growing up in a very abusive.. household, still hates elves. He managed to escape that life when he was 12, somehow ending up at the camp. He quickly rose in ranks, and became one of the top dog seekers.
