  • An enormous ox-like beast stomped over to Tracer while she wasn't able to do much about defending herself. Opening it's mouth wide. Soma's eyes went wide, with a scream of rage he rushed over as grey smoke poured out, throwing Tracer out the way of the attack as he was coated in it.

  • Lena squeaked as she was tossed out of the way, she needed to get her accelerator working again. But waiting was all she could do. She watched as Soma disappeared in the smoke. "Soma?!" She called out, looking around she saw her friends fighting. But she couldn't do anything. She felt useless.

  • "You idiots! You had to leave that one alive!"

    [hr]

When the smoke cleared it was obvious why he had gotten everyone else out the way, the ox stepped back and prepared a charge while Soma was trying desperately to break himself free of being petrified. Literally turned to stone.

  • Lena watched, suddenly her chronal accelerator started to whir and start up again. "Yes!" She cried out. She produced a pulse bomb, and tossed it at the creatures back, she wasn't sure that she could move Soma out of the way, but maybe the pulse bomb would take care of the ox-like creature, as well as some of the other demons.

  • The ox gave a bray of confusion before violently exploding and taking some nearby demons out with it. The statue Soma shook hard before the stone shattered and left the real Soma on the ground, gasping for air as his body started up again.
"I hate it when that happens..."

Most of the demons seemed to gt the idea by now that Soma and the humans that followed him were far from weaklings. Thy rushed away with their tails in between their legs. Some literally.

  • Tracer rushed over to him. "Soma? Love? Are you alright?" She questioned him, putting away her pulse pistols. She was shaken, but still had her wits about her.

  • Tracer giggled a bit, patting him on the shoulder lightly. "Come on, let's go back inside..." She said, Genji and Mei were watching them with curious looks.

  • "This is why I didn't want to stay with anyone." Soma muttered, feeling guilty.
"Those were demons, it's taken them a record two days to show up and try to kill me." He growled, before considering another thought and feeling even worse.
"Or the mark of another cult trying their luck."

  • Tracers face fell, "don't worry about it, nobody was hurt, except you. We can take them on I'm sure." She tried to reassure him. The woman didn't want Soma feeling guilty for something he couldn't control.

  • "You almost got turned to stone, I'm not sure you even have the same protection I do." He felt something drip off his chin and frown suddenly.
"Have I gotten zombie blood on my face?"

  • Soma's expression was slowly turning more and more sour as time went on.
"Oh Gods I forgot how awful things can taste without the Ghoul soul. I need to wash Zombie. bird, bat, ox and who knows what else out my mouth."

  • "I obviously still have a lot to learn about you. Also did you really turn into a bat? Or was I hallucinating?" She asked as she drew her hand away once the blood was gone.

  • "..." There wasn't any getting out of this, he transformed in front of her. So he did it again, the large white bat replacing his form as it hovered in mid-air. His bat eyes stared at her as if to say "does this answer your question?".

  • He nearly tripped himself up trying to transform back into a human.
"I need practice with that." He muttered, staling a quick glance at Mei and Genji, if nothing else then to see their reaction.

  • Soma only moaned loudly.
"I really don't want to explain everything I need to explain." It was so complicated to, where did he even begin? And at what point would they call an exorcist?

  • "Well then don't." Tracer said. "Look, it's late. And we're all tired, especially after that scuffle. We should really be going to bed. Otherwise Ana and Mercy will come out and make us go to bed."
