The pup's luminescent eyes were wide as she wandered the treehouse she figured she would soon be frequenting. It was the first time she'd been here since Midnightpaw recruited her, and Bangla was eager to get a feel for the place. No one really paid much mind to her as she tottered about, though she did get a dirty look when she accidentally ran into someone and nearly fell over. "Sorry…" she mumbled, scurrying off with her tail between her legs.

Nuriya was a bloodthristy murderer with no morals. She wasn't afraid to rip the throat out of an innocent child that was crying for help. She savoured the feeling of her claws ripping through the flesh of others, the feeling of superiority it gave her. She was only 7-moons-old but she had lost her innocense long ago. She had shed any innosense she had in order to become a valued member of The Cartel. The Crew saw innosense as a weakness so she had thrown hers out a window to fit in.
She had no idea why she was here. She had heard of a group of children from an NPC and despite her gut telling her not to, she had gone to visit the place. She had wanted to see this league of little kids that the NPC spoke so highly of. A sanctuary for kids to rise up against the injustice of evil adults and teenagers, they had said. So why had she come here? She did not fit in amongst the children. She was like the evil adults that they spoke of, disguised in the innocent-looking body of a child. But a part of her had wanted to come to see what it was all about. If asked, she would say she came because she wanted the power of an army of children backing her up. But, really, deep down she came because she sought the companionship of others that would care for her and love her. She would never admit it, not even to herself, but she did.
The orange and white child had been sitting by herself in the corner, observing the members of the 'Kids Next Door.' She held the expression of boredom until a commotion caught her eye. A young-looking golden shepherd bumped into someone, receiving dirty glances, and hurried off. A smirk curved the edge of her lips upwards, amusement flashing in her amber eyes. She seemed easy to bug. She could at least get some fun out of this visit. [b]"Hey, you!"
She called over in the direction Bangla had scurried off to.

Bangla, on the other hand, knew exactly why she had joined the Kids Next Door. She had been abandoned by her parents, had been too scared to stay in her original home because it was blatantly obvious that Skyclan's deputy didn't want her there. She had been forced to clan hop ever since then (granted, she had finally found what she hoped could be a forever home), all because of three heedless adults who cared more about themselves than a helpless pup.

Of course, she didn't think all adults were evil. Holly was wonderful; she had comforted Bangla when she'd stumbled upon Seaglassclan, lost and alone and tired. And Pearlcatcher was nice as well; he had given her a necklace and welcomed her graciously. And Franklin, who had gifted her with a stuffed seashell. All three of them had flocked to her side when she was having a low moment, had done everything they could to help her feel better. Bangla knew that there were plenty of good adults out there, but she also knew that there were some who made kids like her feel upset, and she never wanted anybody to feel the way she had ever again.

There wasn't much she could really do about it at this point, though; she was just a cadet. She still needed to be trained before she could really make a difference, and despite her young age she was already getting a sense of the 'food chain' here. Cadets were low on it. And so when someone suddenly called out, Bangla stopped dead and glanced over in the direction the voice had come from, luminescent eyes wide. A young molly was staring right at her.

Slowly, she made her way over to the older girl, looking rather nervous. "M–me?"

Annoyance flickered through the female's amber eyes as the pup spoke. No, the wall. God damn idiot. Her bitter thoughts were shown by the slightest frown appearing on her face. If everyone in this god damn club was like this... Well, she was going to leave sonner than she had planned. She had to deal with enough stupidity back in The Cartel, she didn't want to be plagued with it at every moment here as well. [b]"I was looking at you, wasn't I?"
Her tone wasn't a friendly one. Everything about the feline screamed 'naughtiness' and 'cocky bastard.' The complete opposite of someone who would be in this group.
Sighing, she tried to brush off her normal sour mood and cheer up. She had to put up a friendly act if she was going to gain their trust, right? "What's your name? I'm Nuriya Cloudberry." She figured basic introductions was a good place to start. She purposefully didn't say what clan she was from. Saying that she was from The Cartel, the second deadliest anti-clan group (placing behind the Exiles, though they were quickly catching up), would most likely cause immediate distrust. After all, how could anyone from a group of cheating liars, murderers, and r*pists be trusted?

In all honesty, Bangla wouldn't have viewed the older girl any differently, had she revealed her home clan. Mostly because she had never heard of the Cartel before, but also because she'd always been rather trusting. Call her foolish, but after all she had been through she was willing to befriend anyone who considered her worth their time. More friends meant that she wouldn't be completely alone if someone left her again, right?

At the sharp remark, the puppy nodded slowly, looking rather sheepish. "Uh, yeah you, uh, you were. I think." She tilted her head upon hearing the other's name. Cloudberry? She quite liked the sound of that; it made her think of raspberries. Never before had she tried one, but they looked really pretty and they smelled good. "Bangla," she replied lamely, wishing she had a cool last name too. "You, um, you have a pretty, um… pretty name." I wish I didn't sound so stupid all the time. Well, she only stammered when she was nervous. But that was pretty often.

Nuriya visibly perked up at the comment. Her amber eyes flshed, her posture straightened, and the smallest of smiles appeared on her face. A surefire, instant way to get the girl to cheer up was by complimenting her. And hell, she hadn't be complimented in a long time. She tilted her head to the side, eyes examining the pup in a new light. [b]"Yes, it's very pretty. I don't meet enough people to have it known, though. Quite a shame."
More people needed to be graced by her beauty. She needed to start getting out in the world, becoming known by more than just the people in The Cartel. "So, how come you joined the group?" She would ask idly.

Bangla raised her brows as the molly suddenly brightened. That was a good thing, right? When Nuriya spoke, she nodded along in agreement, though to be honest she didn't quite understand the whole thing with having her name known. Bangla knew it. Nuriya's clanmates knew it. Who else needed to know it?

"Oh, um, my daddies left me and it made me really sad," she explained with a frown, taking a seat as she stared at her paws. "I've never met them and, um, and be–because of them I didn't have a home for a while. I don't want anyone else to feel that way." The pup's stammer began to fade the more she spoke; after Nuriya's apparent change of heart she didn't really seem too scary anymore. "Why'd you join?"

( woah sorry for the inactivity! Shae's got a lot of work going on atm & i've been super busy OOC & i lost muse for Nuriya )
Nuriya probably should have felt some sympathy for the younger puppy. But she didn't; being raised in The Cartel, she knew no pity or mercy. She had been born for the sole purpose of carrying on two last names. Her mother had shipped her off to live with her dad in The Cartel, claiming to "love her" even though she would never talk to her when Nuriya tried to get in touch with her mother. In her eyes, her mother was a * who only cared about leaving a legacy. her father was no better - taught her how to hunt and the basics of fighting, then dropped her off in the clan's camp and never came back. he simply disappeared without a trace, left her to fend for herself amongst a group of liars and murderers. She had strived, though, and received a promotion early on.
Then the one person she looked up to, the leader of the clan, had been murdered. Slain in cold blood and left to bleed on the forest floor. She still had not gotten over it and had yet to get her revenge on Riverclan for making her group look weak.
As for why she joined... Well, she couldn't tell her she joined because the possibility of having an army constantly backing her up sounded appealing. No, she'd have to make something up on the spot. Something to make Bangla trust her. [b]"I felt left out in my group. Everyone was older than me, mean, and didn't care at all for my well being. So I came here to find a place where people would actually care."
That would be good enough, right?
