WEAPONS: six throwing knives, two larger knives, one short sword, retractable knives in gauntlets. considering also having him carry a misericorde, though he would almost never use it. the same would go for a sgian-dubh. i dunno. [human au: two handguns] all rarely used. he always keeps it carefully cleaned, and rarely uses any of them unless necessary.

SKILLSET: skilled martial artist, trained with about every weapon you could think of at least to the point that he can sorta use them. much better with knives or the something similar. dislikes anything heavy, long distance, or bendy. can throw a knife an incredible distance with incredible accuracy. that's his favorite weapon.

PHRASES: Ask him why he rarely uses his handguns, he'll give you a dry look and a bit of a cheeky smirk. 21 feet. Within 21 feet, I win. / It's more fun like this, he snarks, wiping the blade against his thigh. You're not sure if he actually finds stabbing people fun. You may not want to know. / He clicks off the safety. You are so impatient. Take a breath, enjoy it.

MORALS: Dark doesn't have a problem with killing, as half of his personality is a bloodthirsty assassin. However, the other half is still just a sweetheart, so it's not often that he'll kill without reason for it. He won't harm children more than absolutely necessary, and he has a certain soft spot for people smaller than him in general? He's more likely to stop in a fight if someone appears weak or in pain. He doesn't harm people for fun, though he'll occasionally do it for information if he's angry enough. Will steal if he needs to, and can actually be coaxed into doing it for fun if you try hard enough. He doesn't enjoy violence, but he's an adrenaline junkie who enjoys getting into fights.

ONE-ON-ONE COMBAT: He'll refrain from using his equipment for as long as he can. It bothers him to need to resort on it if the other person isn't using theirs, either. So he'll stick with fists, maybe his gauntlets. But he has no shame about stabbing someone if they try to stab him first. Dark can get a little chatty in these fights, especially if they already have a bit of a rapport.

SMALL GROUP COMBAT: Knives are used more with the more opponents around. Less quips, more downright anger. He also does a lot more kicks and likes to use his opponents against each other. This tactic fares best with groups that haven't trained together, but he manages just as well in these settings as with one to one combat for the most part.

LARGE GROUP COMBAT: This is usually the only time that he brings out his handguns. He's almost always pissed off in these fights, very little talking unless it's to start shouting angrily at someone. Most of these fights are spent flipping between his opponents and using them as human shields. This is a surefire way to make him angry enough to actually kill someone unless he's calmed down. He comes out with more injuries and a very deep frown.

WITH A PARTNER: Dark loves fighting with a partner. He's super chatty, smiley, all of that. He's a bit more violent than he would be on his own, but he's less likely to kill, too. He very obviously enjoys it — not the violence, but the partnership. Working in tandem. It feels nice, it makes him feel important, and he's very happy to feel important.

WITH A GROUP: This is absolute chaos, but he lives off of affection and attention, so listening to his people shout around at each other is a surefire way to lift his spirits. Like with a partner, he comes out of this with a lot less injuries. But even here, he's likely to stick close to one person, probably the partner that he works with the most. Chatty, less murderous, and generally pleasant to be around.
