Apoclyia
The world of Synnove: a bright, prosperous world full of wonder and budding magical artists of both destruction and creation alike. For a long time, as far as anyone can remember, there has been a semblence of peace. The many towns prospered in the joy and gift of everyone's unique magical gifts, and noone dared to abuse their power, until one fateful day. Someone discovered an ancient, forgotten technique capable of releasing a 'megaspell.' This megaspell allowed the user to create a enormous pool of energy and release it how they deemed fit. Driven crazy with the prospect of power, the person who discovered this power ruined Synnove. Now, those who were lucky to be unaffected by the Megaspell have found themselves in a living nightmare: the dead walk the land, and monsters have begun to spawn in great numbers. The world of Synnove has become that which to live and to survive now mean the same.

The world is divided into two continents with a land bridge formed in between. The lands were united once upon a time, or so they say, but there are currently two factions, one for each side, that are currently in place.
Frijeld's Alliance: Frijeld's Alliance upholds one simple rule -- justice and happiness for all under their flag. In a never ending fight to uphold citizen peace and happiness, Frijeld's Alliance adapts rather quickly. Or at least it did, until it was nuked by the Megaspell and most of the population turned to a zombie dance party -- magic included. Frijeld's Alliance entertained free thought and encouraged young mages to discover the nuances of their powers sooner, rather than later. Also, thanks to their diverse landscape, trade between cities was made possible.
Hope's Converse- (also known as Converse) The capital of the Alliance. Hope's Converse was a booming city full of architectural genius and a varied, city lifestyle. Now, under the effects of the Megaspell, it has become a nest for thousands of zombified mages, eager to taste still living flesh. A variety of items can be found here, including some from other cities as Converse was the center of trade.
New Sylsi- New Sylsi was founded quite late compared to the other cities, and was named after Sylsi for the express purpose that New Sylsi was essentially a better version of the original; it has farmland instead of desert, still has an expressive work force in the oceans (thanks to magitech boats), and is one of the major food suppliers for the rest of the continent.
Llanidor- Llanidor is better known as a second-rate-Converse. It is much smaller than Converse, but essentially aimed towards the same goal. It is often overshadowed by it's big sister, but at least there aren't as many zombies here.
Basnia- Basnia is, for lack of a better term, the hillbilly zone of the continent. Most of the troublemakers and 'freedom fighters' move here for the weak control by the government in the area, despite being so close to the continent. Magitech guns were originally created here, before the production was moved to Converse as to avoid giving the 'interesting' types guns too.
Torodor- Torodor is known for it's very intimate relationship with the world around it. Full of gifted nature-mages, Torodor has evolved over the course of time to become a tree city, where none of the buildings touch the ground, and all of them have been naturally enveloped and protected by the flora around them. Many mages here are known for their pacifistic nature. Or at least, they were.
Terrani- Terrani is very different from the other cities on the account that it is entirely separated from the rest of the cities by natural borders. The mountain Renja is so large and vast that there is no possible way to climb it. Instead, you have to take the twisting, maze-like and dark cave system that runs through it. Only a Terranian, or an earth mage, knows the way through the cave system, and they often times run as tour guides to travelling youth, all the while making sure to con them out of their money for it. Terrani was also a mining city; The great mountain was chock full of minerals, and often times felt like the minerals were reforming from what was taken.
Landmarks::
Swamp of Blu:The Swamp is filled with a quicksand-like substance that will pull unsuspecting victims in without warning. "Watch the frogs of Blu, or be trapped in the Swamp 'till the end." On a side note, people have spread rumors that following the frogs leads you to a cave that could take you from one continent to the other. But that's just a rumor.
Woods of Hopelessness: Cheesy name, perhaps but that's what happens when someone from Basnia names something. If you aren't from Torodor, be on the lookout. The woods are alive, and they don't take kindly to tresspassers. Trees will shift and bushes hide paths, until you find yourself truly lost and confused. Then, when you are at your weakest, the woods will make your end swift.
===============================================================
Talendrin's Wizans: Talendrin, leader of the Wizans, is under the impression that free minds and idle hands bring destruction. Especially now, given the occurance of the Megaspell. When the Wizans were still alive and well, young wizards were often sent off on a pilgrimage to Talendrin Tower (or TT) in order to practice control and normality over these young, impressionable minds. As a result, these wizards are more in line and finely tuned in their magic than the Alliance, however they have less of an adapability and a much more difficult time adjusting to new circumstances.

Each person born in Synnove is infused with a magical power, "Mana," upon birth. Each person reacts differently to the powerful primal primordinance that is this mysterious energy, and as such it coalesces in many different forms:
Single Gift, or "One Trick Pony," - The powers granted to this person are quite limited. Imagine being a magician that only knew how to pull a rabbit out of his hat. This is basically that. You only have one technique in your repitoire, but you can control it well and the drawbacks are either, you only have one spell, or you have a very limited range of using a type of magic with small miscellaneous drawbacks.
Jack of All Trades- The Everyman, or the Jack of All Trades, is both a gift and a curse. Born with a wide variety of spells, the Everyman can have a solution to almost any problem; given that it's basic enough. The Jack has no utmost powerful gift; all of his skills are mediocre. As such, he can do any basic or intermediate task, but he's not a specialist in anything.
Cursed - Perhaps you don't really know your magic, or your magic just has a mind of its own. In the most inconvienent of times you might shapeshift, or accidentally sneeze and turn into a rampaging woman with giant muscles and a frying pan ready to slap someone half to death (or undeath). Your magic is strong; incredibly, actually. However, you have no real control over it and it should happen randomly.
The Hero of the Story - The Hero is generally well known for the power of friendship and all that brings. Your magic is no different. So long as a certain amount of people assist you in casting a spell, you can unleash some varying intensities of magic. However, because of this, your magic when cast alone is particularly weak, like releasing a spark instead of a fireball.
The Self-Scar - Your magic comes at a great cost, like any responsibility. Whenever you cast your magic, it leaves some temporary -- or sometimes even permanent -- disorientation, energy loss, or wound upon you, making you less than 100%. (Think pichu from smash brothers.)
Please request approval for your powers in the forms. If demanding, I will ask you to change it in a way that makes it fair.

Magitech is a recent development by a collaboration of neutral wizards that decided that the current state of the world's technology was so untouched by magic, that it could not possibly be able to efficiently interact with a world so filled with it. As such, they created things such as weaponry, boats, flying machines, and other normally mundane creations that interact with a person's Mana as its power source. Each creation interacts generally the same to each individual user, although some items, especially weapons and armor, will interact to each individual gift uniquely. For example, a Magitech blade could alter to have an elemental effect if its wielder had an element such as fire or earth to control. (Also a neat idea is totally an illusion mage whose blade weaves their illusions.) Thanks to the widespread acceptance of these Magitech devices, the world had become a lot more accessible and safe for humanity.
