He had no idea where he was.

He knew his name, that was it. How he knew his name, he didn't know. He just knew that one day he woke up and thought 'my name is Travis' and he decided he liked that name for some reason. He would stick with it.

Wandering around aimlessly, the large cat found himself stumbling into trees and sh!t, looking for nothing in particular. The scent around here was awful, and only getting increasingly worse as he traveled on. He was more curious about what it was than deciding he should run.

And maybe he should have turned the other way, because as soon as he got the slightest suspicion that the area wasn't safe, he slipped and went crashing down a slope into marshy, watery lands. And the water was a lot deeper than it looked.

The water was cold, and it felt...gross. He wasn't sure how to explain it. It had something slimy in it, and it smelled f#cking terrible.

And of course, he wasn't ready to go splashing into this. Also, while he could indeed swim, he wasn't good at it.

He splashed around for a bit, grasping onto a floating piece of driftwood knocked loose from the storm that happened to be floating by. "F#ck..."

At least he didn't swallow any.

[justify][font=georgia]of course, nat was sunning herself on the deck, only opening her fierce green gaze from time to time, just to see if anything interesting had set itself on the horizon. most of the time, there was some poor bird that grabbed a piece of corpse, some scavenger that would probably drop dead from the diseased liquid, and that was it. nothing very exciting.

    until something exciting happened.

"what the... hey! someone wanna grab tha' drowning *sshole out there?!"

her shrill voice cut through the air and her hind legs pushed her to the edge of the deck, bandaged forepaws keeping her from doing anything even remotely helpful, remotely interesting to her. instead, the black molly kept her eyes on the stranger, and having shouted for help, shouted to the other with slight disinterest, slight entertainment at the prospect of watching this dude drown.

    hey, immobility was boring, okay?

"hey, don't swallow any! it's poisoned! ain't y'ever swam before?!"

"I can't...swim well. And I think I have a pulled muscle somewhere in my leg." Oh, yeah. That. Forgot how he got that. Some time before he took a splash into the water. Jesus, these two were acting as if he purposely threw himself in. Like he would dive into putrid corpse filled water!

Something about that statement unnerved him a bit. Well, something beyond the corpses floating past. Something deep down in his subconscious. He tried to figure it out, but then his brain just seemed to short circuit and it was't there anymore. He have up.

"I just kinda tripped somewhere and fell in. I didn't mean nothing by it. Do y'all have some rope up there or somethin' to haul me up with, or are y'all just waiting for my body to be added to the water?" There wasn't any distinguishable rude tone in his otherwise smooth voice, but there was traces of concern and worry. He didn't feel like being a dead body floatin' around here. He didn't even know where 'here' was!

[size=8] Mmm...the corpse water smelled absolutely disgusting. He really didn't like it, at all. You couldn't really escape the smell of it on the island however, and he'd at least gotten used to the smell. Things wheren't much better on the island. As he'd previously mentioned, flooding had washed corpses up on the mainland. While people where cleaning that right now, it was still quite disgusting to stumble upon an animal corpse.

”Love, that water is very unpleasant! Get out of there!”

Looking at this lad, he wondered if they where going to become one more corpse in the water. Someone he didn't know called out, asking if someone wanted to save the drowning asshole. Blimey, drowning? So he was drowning? A panicked expression formed on the brits face as he padded up. He usually had his own business to take care of, Oliver was a busy guy. However he didn't mind helping out here. Not by getting into the water though, god no. They asked if they had rope or something. MM....no, no rope. He was sure they didn't have any rope with them at the moment, or a means to throw the rope far enough to reach Travis. So, here it was. Plan B.

He didn't even really...mention that he was doing it, (Doing that would be silly, and it wasn't really important anyways.) but he quietly manipulated the water so they could be pulled towards the shore. Just tugging them over here, really. His demons where telling him little things about the guy. They didn't know anything about the guy either however, so the information was pretty useless. They just described what had happened in the last five minutes to him.

He wasn't sure if they where f#cking with him or if they where being serious.

Deep blue eyes where sort of focused on them, just so he didn't manipulate the wrong place and end up creating an undertow or something like that. He sort of realized he had the power to drown them on the spot too, but he wouldn't do that. Poor lad needed help, not harm.

”Come on then, you've still got legs! Use them to try to swim to shore!” He was encouraging them! Here was encouragement, and they weren't allowed to turn it down. Nope! They absolutely had to try their best now.
