  • OOC: I'll start it off.

IC: Remus stood behind the curtain as he watched the crowd of people starting to fill the seats. A devilish smile spread across his face as he turned to check on his performers. He would never admit it out loud, but he did have a favorite. Calla had been his first find and he knew that she would never fail him.

Amara was hanging out with her lion Thor. He was like a giant kitten around her. "Let's make the people proud, Thor. And most of all, let's have fun." She said to the lion.

Keegan sharpened his knives as he waited for the show to begin. He wondered how the others were doing. Ever since they joined this circus things have happened in the places they went.

Annabella walked silently to her dressing room and got ready. She feared for the humans that were in the crowd. She prayed to the goddess that they would be safe from the monster they served.

  • Cerridwen sighed as she slowly put her knee length iridescent hair into the fancy bun she usually did when performing. Her stage name would come into play as she stepped out of her room, a cloak around her covering her white costume. Her stunning eyes scanned the area around her as she steered clear of the ringmaster. She was the last of her dragon race, but hid her dragon form behind the human appearance. No one knew the truth behind her unusual looks, or why she was there even. She was found as a young girl, at the circus and taken in. Since then, her name was Akari when she performed, and her full name hid her true name. Her tan unblemished skin was a startling contrast to the bright lights in the circus.

  • Calla looked around briefly her golden gaze taking in those around her before she looked to the mirror she leaned against as she got ready for when she would go on with the other two trapeze artists. She had been one of the firsts to join the circus and she was grateful for Remus took her in. The platinum blond young woman adjust her make up a bit before she gave a slight wolfish grin. She would never let Remus down. She held two acts one was a side act to mesmerize the audience as her snowy white wolf self bigger then your average wolf while on the other hand she had a main act with the other trapeze artists. She stretched a but before she looked around eager to start her bright gold gaze landed on Remus and she forced herself to calm down.

Karou sat watching the hustle and bustle as the others got ready. Her snake green eyes watched them intently before she focused on her two snakes one a python that looked like it could take her down and a cottonmouth. The python wrapped around her unthreatening to the Naga. She looked to the cottonmouth snake as it was wraped around one arm. The snake charmer had only been there a few months or so but she had no trouble fitting in somewhat.

The female vampire sat near the cage that held her tiger companion in which the act would take place. They all were sting like giant kittens as they had tusslef with one another and that made Karou smile a little.

  • With the roar of the crowd behind but a simple curtain, Bo paced the floor, one ear tuned into the world, the other with a single earbud in connected to an mp3 in her off hand. No matter how many times she did this the pre show jitters never really seemed to go away, and this little pre show ritual seemed to help with those nerves.
Occasionally she'd glance over to the curtain, by which Remus stood, looking back at them with those eyes that couldn't help but unnerve her every time she had to lock her gaze with him. Even though she felt like he was a good man ((Although that sentiment may have been somewhat biased)), there was something about his eyes that made her dread his look, almost in the same way that a child has trouble looking their father in the eyes. She shuttered slightly and turned her attention to the floor in front of her, chalking it up to the slight draft and the fact that her costume wasn't the warmest outfit in the world. She walked, practiced, one foot directly in front of the other, and arms down. She sighed, closing her eyes for a time too long to be a blink before bending her knees and springing up with practiced motion. While suspended in the air she turned her body with spider-like agility so that her head was closer to the ground than her feet, and her hands were pressed against the ground to support her weight. Walking on her hands sometimes helped her to think.
On her hands she walked, her earbud still playing out music into one ear, over to some of the animal cages. Her neck bent so that she could look at the, and her knees were bent enough so that her lower legs weren’t straight out. She watched them from her inverted view, the tigers playing with each other like giant deadly kittens that were both big enough that she was more than positive that her head could fully fit inside their huge tooth filled maw. Although she doubted Karou would let her, or the tigers, test that theory. Bo grinned at the thought of that scene, although it wasn’t really something she was terribly tempted to try.

    [hr]
Garet walked in, a couple of objects for various acts tucked under his arms. Without looking at anyone in particular, Garet carried the objects to an arbitrary point in the area to set them down. Lions and tigers and snakes and a girl walking on her hands. Keegan sharpening his knives, and Remus by the curtains. All of them waiting for the show to start. It was a common sight for him, but other more ordinary people might find more or less odd. Walking over to a spot, Garet sat down, leaving all the other's to their preshow rituals, as he knew each person needed them in their own ways. He folded his arms over one another and watched the others, his eyes trained on everything. It was his own preshow ritual in a way. The knowledge that everyone else was okay made him at ease, and relieved his nerves. He ould sense tension in some, they way they held their bodies their nervous glances. All giveaways that he had no trouble picking up with his keener canine senses.
He looked at Remus, their ringleader, his lips curled into a sort of devious grin. He was a man that even Garet had trouble reading most of the time, but he was confident enough that he had no bad intentions for any of them here.
The other mystery of their place was Cerridwen, not that she was hiding any malicious intent or anything, but she was certainly hiding something. He didn’t really even know why she was here. Other than her strangely perfect looks, and hair like glowing silk, she seemed like any other human. She avoided Remus, maybe she didn’t trust him, and he couldn’t blame her. He wasn’t the best to open up to, and he doubted that even Remus would deny that.

  • Cerridwen turned her stunning mercury dipped blue eyes to see Garet, her hair piled high in an elaborate bun as she studied the male. Her stunning eyes seemed to be piercing at him, right through him. Her iridescent hair glimmered as she moved slightly, her body poised like a predator waiting to pounce, yet it was strangely elegant too. As she moved, her body flowed with unnatural grace. She knew that Garet suspected something, but she hoped that if she acted normal, whatever that was by her standards, she could throw him off her trail. Her tan skin was definitely a contrast against the bright stage lights. she was Akari, she would shine with all her might on this night. It was her dream.

  • Remus made his way through the others. He needed to speak with Calla about her second act. When he spotted her he heard Annabella quietly praying. With a scowl he stalked toward the fae and grabbed her by the arm. He then pulled her out where the others could see her. He threw her to the ground and said, "I will not put up with any of you ruining what I've built. Come why don't you tell the others what you were doing, Anna."

Annabella looked up at him with horrified eyes. He knew that she never spoke out loud, but that didn't stop him from cutting her down with harsh words.

Keegan stopped sharping his knives and stood up. He didn't know the girl well, but he wasn't about to let her be abused either.

Amara frowned as she left her lion to see what was happening.

  • Calla blinked and looked to Annabella. She had wondered for a minute what the fae had been doing to get Remus the Ringmaster all riled up. She approached quietly and stood. She was well aware she wouldn't speak outloud and was quiet as her golden eyes looked from the fae to the ringmaster. Though she paused. Her great hearing had picked up what the fae might have been praying about but she didn't pay any heed to it some of the others was suspicious of Remus though she wasn't she trusted the ringmaster completely.

Issa blinked and looked up"what could ssshe possssible have been doing to ruin everything?"she asked her snake green eyes turned into slits. She had no idea what was going on but to the rather kind Naga woman it seemed a bit dramatic the way remus was acting.

Karou stopped what she was doing her sharp silver gaze Turing from her tigers to Remus and Annabella

  • Bo looked still watched the tigers, her palms still planted firmly on the ground until the sound or Remus' voice pervaded the air. Leaning back she let her feet touch the ground once again, making her back like an arc with her belly facing skyward before she straightened out, ending up back on her feet. Annabella? She wondered what kind of problem Remus could have had with her, last time she spied her on the way over she was just quietly by herself. Seemed strange to pull her from doing that, or at least pointless to any note. Not like it would do much of anything. Unless he had noticed something that she hadn't. Either way Bo didn't really care either way. Her thumb fingered the volume down button so she could hear him over her music a bit easier, but she did not gather like all the others, she merely watched with her eyes as she moved over to the curtain, using that moment to peak out, just for a moment before looking back onto the scene.
    [hr]
Without rising from his spot, Garet looked up t Remus. "Come on Remus, what did the girl do that was so bad? Last I saw her she was just sitting by herself quietly like always." Garet spoke with his own rough gravely voice, his level head pervading as he looked up and watched Remus holding Annabella roughly by the arm.

  • Remus glared at Garet for a moment and then looked down at the fae. "Tell them Annabella!" He demanded.

Annabella's eyes narrowed and something flashed within them. And for the first time she spoke out loud, "I didn't do anything wrong! All I did was pray. And last time I checked that's not a crime." Her voice was sweet and melodic.

For a split second Keegan and Amara were in shock. They have never heard a sound from the golden haired girl.

  • Calla watched silently almost shocked before she spoke finally"praying but about what"She spoke keeping her calm she remembered catching a few words from her small prayer and was resistant as she said with a cool cold tone."to deliver is from the monster we serve. I heard that part of no one else did....I don't believe that there is anyone here That is a monster "she said. The shadow of her wolf self threatened to take over but she shook her head gold eyes looking briefly to remus before she calmed down and remained silent for a moment.

  • Garet let out a breath. In any other situation he would have questioned whether or not the voice had actually come from, who he thought was, their mute companion. But All things considered there weren't any reasons to doubt. "Come on Remus, let her go. It's not like the silent whispers of a mute's prayers are going to make the show go badly." Garet said, rising to his feet. He was in no way trying to be threatening or intimidating, but the werewolf's broad shoulders and rough look made it look that way regardless. "We're going to give 'em a good show no matter what, so just try and relax a little, boss. I think your nerves might be getting to you. I mean I can see why, recently some weird stuff's been happening, but that's no reason to turn against our own." He spoke in hopes that he would relax him at least somewhat, enough so that he would at least let the Fae go.
    [hr]
Bo walked back from the curtain, quickly dialing her volume back up as she curiously watched what was going on. She had never heard Ana's voice before, as she never really said anything, so that was a shock. Her open ear listened intently, while the one with the bud relaxed with the sound of a good bass line.

  • A low growl rumbled form the throat of Cerridwen as the ringmaster began to speak, he wasn't happy and treating the young fae like that sent her dragon side aflame. Her eyes flashed purple and orange for a split second, before returning to their original ice blue silver eyes as she had in her humanoid form. The trapeze artist didn't budge though, she didn't trust the ringmaster entirely, as of yet. It was still a possibility, but for now she'd remain undetermined but play the part. Her eyes settled on the fae as she spoke, and she listened to Calla as she spoke, never once speaking. As a trapeze artist, she never spoke, and prefered it to stay that way.

  • Annabella's eyes burned with anger. How could the others not see that they were aiding a villain. He was using them to control the humans. She retreated back to her silence as she glared at Remus. You may have the others fooled, but I can see right through you. She told Remus through telepathy. She then turned and went back to her dressing room.

Remus was seething with anger as he watched Annabella go. "Oh don't worry princess. Before the night is over you won't remember a thing." He sneered quietly to himself. He then headed for the curtain.

Amara and Keegan looked at each other worriedly. They knew that Remus was going to punish Annabella during her act. That's what he did when any of them disobeyed.

  • Still watching from the shadows, the young dragon elf girl walked forward to the fae. Her eyes meeting hers as she nodded to her, showing her acceptance to what she did. Then, Cerridwen turned before turning to whisper her name to the fae girl. Making sure only she heard it. Then the elegant girl walked away, her hair shimmering with its iridescent properties as light hit it. Her cloak billowed around her as she walked, her cat like eyes stunning as she gazed around before she simply sat down to take a breath.
