Flamepaw always liked fall the best. Sometimes, the trees would turn bright red, just like her pelt. But that was still a long ways off. For now, the fiery pelted apprentice was just grateful for the cool breeze as she took a stroll near a swath of beech trees.
As she was walking, she noticed the ground becoming damp under her paws. This was unusual because the river didn't extend to this part of the territory. Flamepaw rounded a rather large beech tree, her ears swiveling as she listened out for the sound of rushing water. Curiosity rising in her chest as she heard the quiet babble of a creek or a brook.
She was so busy focusing on the sounds that the apprentice wasn't watching her paws. Before she could even take a whole step the ginger she slipped down a leafy slope, landing with a loud thud on a stone ridge below. Flame groaned, blinking her copper hues as she strained to make out what was in front of her. An aching bump beginning to form on her head.
This was just her luck. The apprentice looked back up the slope, only to determine there was no way up. She would have to wait for somebody to pull her out of this mess. With her tail lashing in irritation the pretty she would turn once again, her mouth dropping open in surprise. Behind the feline was a massive fresh water spring, crystal clear waters bubbled to the surface from underneath. Flamepaw leaned over the edge cautiously, a perfect reflection of her face looked back up at her. "Woah..."
