  • "Oh. I'm sorry to hear about Jayflight. Maybe little Dean can help him. Kids have a weird way of comforting adults." Sam spoke, a smile gracing his features. The Winchester glanced to Dean, shaking his head gently before looking back to Melody and little Dean.

Dean chuckled,"Because I do stupid things. Ain't that right, Sammy?"
"Unfortunately for me, yes." Sam retorted, rolling his eyes lightly,"Melody, please make sure little Dean here doesn't turn out like my brother, or you'll have to have eyes on the back of your head."

  • "He's... Strange to say the least." Melody chuckled, hugging Dean gently to her. The small child leaned against her, closing his eyes. "And about Jayflight... I don't really know what can fix him maybe less death. A lot of people are pretty upset. I guess a double funeral and someone calling off their marriage isn't exactly the happiest news in the world." She bit her lip, looking down.
Cas pulled her into a gentle hug. "You have us then." He assured her, gently patting her back.

  • Sam nodded, empathetic and understanding,"It seems to be hard times for a lot of people. I'm so sorry to hear about everything. It will all level out, though. Can't rain all the time." He spoke to Melody, giving her a saddened smile. He understood how painful funerals were, and cancelled marriages only added to the misery. The younger Winchester smiled as Cstiel hugged her, and little Dean seemed at ease. Neutral.
"Hey buddy, how are you holding up?" He questioned the child, a gentle tone of voice.

Dean nodded,"We're sorry to hear about everything. You guys seem to have a lot of hard times." He spoke sincerely. The Winchester wasn't the best at comforting people, but he tried to.

  • "Yeah, my half sister and Dean help. Maude keeps my father from killing somebody and Dean... Used to keep Jayflight occupied." Melody gave them a smile. "Thank you though."
Mini Dean pouted. "I miss Jayflight..." He murmured, hugging onto his mother's hand.

  • Sam looked up to Melody,"Not a problem. If you need us, well you have our number." He mused, before looking back to little Dean. The Winchester took a breath,
"I'm sure Jayflight misses you too, Dean." He spoke,"Don't worry, he'll see you soon, okay?" He added, before looking to Melody,
"Do you think we'll be able to talk to Jayflight?"

Dean nodded at Melody,"No problem. And as Sammy said, if you need us you know how to contact us."

  • Melody jumped when Jayflight touched her shoulder. "Jayflight is going out, maybe an hour or two." He murmured. The man with no eyes brushed passed her to the door. He left briskly, a whine coming from Dean. "He didn't even say hi!" He hugged Melody tightly.
Melody cleared her throat. "Jayflight's... Upset to say the least." She mumbled.

  • Sam jolted, startled by Jayflight's sudden appearance. The Winchester didn't ask any questions or say anything, however, due to the fact that Jayflight didn't seem to be in the mood for talking. Sam nodded once Jayflight left,
    "I could tell." He mused.

Dean watched as Jayflight left briskly, and he heard little Dean's exclamation. Poor kid probably didn't understand why Jayflight was acting the way he was.

  • Dean looked up at his mother. "When will he come back?" She asked softly.
Melody shrugged. "Soon, I hope." She hugged him gently with one arm.
Castiel linked his arm with bigger Dean's. "Has everything been alright since we left last?" He asked.
Melody nodded. "It's usually always okay with Jayflight around. I... Really don't know what we would do without him. He house came with a lot of bad history and we've been progressively adding onto it, restless spirits, uncleansed souls, wendigo spirits, what ever Plague brings in with her. She's more blind than Jayflight." She took in a breath.

  • Sam listened to her speak, concerned,"We could try to cleanse the house for you, if it's getting bad." He commented, concerned for her. The Winchester glanced over at his brother and saw that the angel had linked arms with Dean. Cute.

Dean raised an eyebrow as he felt Castiel's arm interlock with him,"It would be easier than you trying to exercise it, we've got an angel."

  • Melody shook her head. "It's not getting too bad. Jayflight wouldn't let me anyway. I know how to, he just gets all bitter saying that I'm not good enough to do it because I only had a month of training." She explained, voice soft.
Cas gently patted her shoulder, offering mini Dean, who look upset about Jayflight, a little smile. He opened his coat at the small toddler snuggled up to the angel's leg. Cas smiled a little at Dean. "He's more cuddly than you are."

  • Sam nodded,"Good to hear, and at least you've had training! It's comforting to hear you know what you're doing." He mused happily, a reassuring smile gracing his lips. He watched as little Dean snuggled up to Castiel's leg. The Winchester chuckled, amused.

Dean rolled his eyes lightly,"Oh wow. Well of course he's going to like the angel more than the human, right? You just have a way with people, Cas." He teased lightly.

  • Melody smiled a little. "At least he likes you." He laughed. Mini Dean smiled a little bit, hugging Dean's leg. Melody smiled. "You can have him, I don't mind." She teased.
Castiel scooped mini Dean up in his arms, hugging him "Sure, I'll take him." He smiled, mini Dean happily cuddled into the angel.

  • Dean chuckled, smiling lightly as little Dean hugged his leg, before being lifted into Castiel's arms. The Winchester rolled his eyes playfully,"Cas, you're a big enough kid as it is."

Sam laughed,"See? Little Dean loves people. Although, I think it's safe to say he likes Cas the most apart from Melody."

  • Melody smiled a little bit, watching mini Dean snuggling with Dean and Cas. She kept close to Sam, the temperature in the room slowly decreasing. She began to shiver, glancing around the room. Cas watched her. "Are you alright, Mel?" He asked softly, holding onto mini Dean.
Melody took in a raspy breath, squeezing her eyes closed. "I don't know. Something's not right." She whispered. Mini Dean snuggled closer to Castiel, looking just as upset as Melody was.

  • ( That rap is amazing! It's really well written, and I love how they speak to eachother! I can literally smell the hostility!))

Sam felt the air grow colder, and he shuddered as a chill ran down his spine,"Dean, it's gotten colder." He spoke, suddenly alarmed as he looked over to Melody,"Should we take a look around?" He questioned.

Dean glanced at Castiel, and then he glanced to little Dean and saw the bewilderment of the child. "Cas, the kid needs comfort. He's scared."

  • Oh just wait. X3

Melody opened her eyes, seeing little Dean's terrified face. She went to him, gently stroking his head. Cas rocked him and Melody held his hand. She looked over at Dean and Sam. "Yea, lemme come with you." She murmured.
Cas gave mini Dean a smile. "How about we take a walk outside?"
"That's a good idea, Cas." Melody nodded, giving little Dean an encouraging little smile.
Cas walked with mini Dean outside. Melody watched him go, the color slowly draining from her face.

  • Sam nodded, and looked to Dean, whom of which nodded right back,
"Sam, get the salt and guns. Don't forget dad's journal. An exorcism might be needed." He spoke, glancing around the room, aware. Sam nodded, and then caught the keys to the Impala as Dean threw them to him. The younger Winchester left the room and rushed out of the house and to the Impala that was parked outside. Dean glanced to Melody,
"You okay?" He questioned, seeing the colour drain from her face. The older Winchester couldn't help but ready himself as the air grew colder still. Something was getting closer.

  • "No." Melody croaked out, leaning on the back of the sofa. She closed her eyes tightly, her arms beginning to tremble. Once the room got cold, it started to get warm again, worryingly hot. She took in a few shallow breaths.

  • Dean frowned,"Melody we should leave." He spoke, going over to her, right before the room's temperature rapidly increased, becoming worryingly hot,"Melody let's go." He spoke urgently, as the feeling of being observed snaked it's way around Dean's neck, choking him.

  • Melody shook her head, her hand clutching Dean's wrist in a death grip. A faint smell of fire began to fill the room.
"Hello, my little b*tch..." Melody whipped around, stumbling a bit. She took in a few wheezing breaths. "Get out of my house." Her tone was more afraid and intimidated than threatening. Her grip on Dean's arm got more desperate when the tall, mangled figure moved forward. "Ah, the one who shot a hole through my chest and the one who thought she could get rid of me. How does it feel to watch everything you love burn, b*tch. Wish I could've gotten the little one too. He deserves to know who fathered him. Hmm... Guess I just wasn't fast enough." He smiled sickly.
"How are you even here?" Melody didn't look at him.
He reached out a long claw, raising Melody's chin to look at him. Her skin sizzled into a burn at it's contact. She didn't flinch.
"Your dearest Jayflight sarcificed himself to a Wendigo. He cracked under pressure. Just like your mother."
    "She ODed on herion."
"Who made her?" His smile grew wider. "You're gonna burn. The fire started in the attic, it's gonna come down here nice and slow. Just enough time for a chat."
