The attack had only made it worse. He just couldn't believe Henry... was dead.

Swallowing the lump in his throat, he would limp to the center of camp. "U-Um... I have an announcement." Arthur started, his voice slowly getting louder. "I'm stepping down... I just feel like... I'm not fit for this job anymore and I think someone more deserving and active should take my place. So..." The now ex-trainee said, staring down at his paw, which was stirring the dirt beneath him. "Thank you, Tama, for everything."

    /hey everyone!
i'm really sorry, but i have to drop arthur </3
when school started 3 weeks ago, i found that i no longer had the motivation to roleplay this lil guy, which is really sad because i really liked playing him! but, maybe in the future, i'll bring him back.

She could press that aside, for now - briefly. This was a separate matter entirely. It was heartbreaking, to see another resign. Her chest tightened, alongside her throat, though she understood that he had put plenty of thought into his decision. "Don't worry about it, Arthur. You did a brilliant job in your position, too, so thank you for that." Tama would add, offering him an understanding smile, alongside a nod. Her heart sunk in her chest, to hear that he had decided to abdicate, but she knew that hearing the announcement was probably less heavy than having to make the decision.

/ aww man, i'm gonna miss arthur! i understand that! aND HECK YEAH YOU'LL SEE ME IN WINDCLAN WINK WINK. i'm really glad that you enjoyed it here though!

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 350px; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 17px; text-align: justify;]Someone else was stepping down again? Huh. "Oh, that's too bad," Saltcircles stated, not really caring. He and Arthur weren't exactly close friends, and he could honestly care less about what happened to the guy after he stepped down from his position. "See you around, though." He shrugged nonchalantly.

/ic opinions! You and Arthur were really fun to roleplay with, but good luck in school and in Windclan! I STILL DON'T HAVE A WINDCLAN CHARACTER

  • [fancypost bordercolor=transparent; width: 450px][justify][font=georgia]( totally understood! it was so nice to roleplay with you! )

Jasper nodded. He had tossed around the idea of stepping down, but first he was going to see if he could at least try to get active first. He didn't hold anything against Arthur, and instead respected him to have the courage to do this. "It was a pleasure to work alongside you, sir." He said sincerely with a slow dip of his head.

Oh wow, another one? Kion stood there, blinking with surprise. Wow... he was really not expecting this, especially after a few more had recently stepped down from their positions as well. It wasn't a good thing to lose such good high positions, but it was understandable, even noble and honorable to see one stand up and step down when they knew they couldn't carry on their duties much longer. Much better than taking off without a word, that's for sure. "Noted. Thank you for your service, though!"

Bad news was one of the worst things ever sent into existence. The boy walked over, breathing deeply. His eyes danced with sympathy. "I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you're doing okay, and I think you did an extraordinary job with your rank!" He tried to encourage the other felid, smiling with encouragement. But this was saddening. While he hadn't known Arthur well, he did know who he was. Yet another one fell to sadness, and he felt horrible about it. Crispus thought if he got there in time, he might've cheered him up and talked to him. But now, it was too late.

//i'm so sorry to hear this, but don't pressure yourself!! arthur was a great and developed character, and you did very good roleplaying him! i don't have a character in windclan, but i hope to see you around either way :,)!!

Someone else was stepping down. It made her heart sink low to think that someone else was stepping down but there was not much that she could do in a situation like this. Her maw worked for a moment before she approached, keeping a more small smile on her muzzle. At least he had come to tell them. That was really the most important thing here. Sitting down the avian canine would curl her tail around her paws. "Thank you for all that you have done for us, Arthur."

--retro to traumatizing event and definitely understand!

Stepping down was never a good thing. Obviously it had good reasons behind it (depending on what that reason was) but sometimes the reason could be bad. As Beekeeper carefully studied Arthurs almost sad face, he picked up a sense of truthfulness. He was dropping it because he really did believe someone else deserved it. Did something else happen to him? Did he get hurt mentally recently? As far as Bee could see, there were no physical scars. A good sign, of course. "Thank you." He dips his head respectfully, keeping a slight distance.
