  • [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=; borderwidth=0px; width: 420px;][justify][size=8]Littleheart was old, too old for the world. Breaking ten years last summer he was probably the oldest member here, his arthritis ridden body and weak heart rendering him useless in the elders den. It was the circle of life at work and like a lot of things, the old grumpy tom hated it. He just wished StarClan would take him already, his life had been pretty long, mentoring a few apprentices, bearing a few children. Now he was confined to camp. What a way to end your life. After retiring the basic rights of freedom Littleheart once had was stripped away. Now he needed young children to come and take the kits out of his fur and escort him to the dirtplace and to give him food. "Like I can't do that myself." Snorted Littleheart, lashing his long, thin tail as he exited the den and sighed. This old place. The russian blue looked up at the sky. How sometimes I wish to be up there. Thought the scarred male bittersweetly. The sun was shining bright upon his blue pelt, and as he splayed himself down across the ground outside of the den he practically lived in alone.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px][justify][size=8]"Hello Littleheart, how are you?" Moonflower sat down and smiled at the elder. Who seemed rather irritantat the moment. The fae wondered if he was doing okay. Being practically alone couldn't be good for ones well being. Then again, an evil feline wasn't good either.

  • [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=;border:0;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:11px;line-height:1.5]Mossstep appeared next to Moonflower, eyes skimming over Littleheart to make sure there were no injuries or abnormalities. He was getting up there in age, so now she was constantly worrying about his wellbeing. "Do you need anything? I still don't have hardly anything in the herb stores, but if you need herbs I can run out and look." She felt massive respect for the elders, having paved the way for her and her clanmates to live happily. Thus, she wanted them taken care of in the best way possible.

  • Hawkkit trotted over, head high, as he stared at the battled wounded warrior. An Elder in title not, the kit still believed he was a warrior - just a tired one. He plopped down by Moonflower and turned his head to Mossstep.

"Hi Mossstep!" He beamed, looking back at the Elder. "Hello!"

  • [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=; borderwidth=0px; width: 420px;][size=8]He gave a golden side-glance to Moonflower. Some apprentices had very idealistic values. Their heads, full of fantasies of dying like a warrior for the sake of their clan. While Littleheart appreciated those values, sometimes it irritated him how optimistic one could even be. He had seen his fair share of clan life, greencough outbreaks, death. He didn't have room in his mind to fill with such ideals. "Hello. Moonflower." Greeted Littleheart in his usual raspy tone, his small wave of tail letting out a little crack. That was to be expected, he was nearing his final moons -- however, if he was lucky, he had another leaf-bare left.

As he was examined by the medicine cat, the grumpy elder huffed. This was his life now, two she-cats lifting up his paws and tails to see if he had any burrs stuck or maybe if he was thinner than usual. Sure, maybe Littleheart had a few ticks he couldn't reach without feeling pain, and he didn't have any other denmates to help him, but that was fine. He'd rather be alone anyway. Littleheart flicked his paw in Mossstep's direction. "You won't stop doting on me 'til I join StarClan, will you? I told you yesterday, I may be old enough to be your father's father but I have the heart of a warrior, and it's keepin' me alive."

As the young cat made his way over, the old feline narrowed his eyes at the child, barely making hi out as he seemed so tiny, but old enough to be able to eat prey. "Hello there little one."

  • [align=center][fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: none; width: 450px; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;]Snakepaw couldn't help but roll his eyes. Elders...always getting pissy with the younger generations. He flicked his tail and huffed, "The only thing keeping you alive, Littleheart, are herbs. You should be thankful that the medicine cat has the patience to put up with you every day."

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px][justify][size=8]While what Snakepaw said was true, she had no intention of saying so. The fae rather liked elders. They were kind, and wise. Most, of the time. "Hello Hawkkit. How are you?" Moonflower smiled at the elder and the kit. Keeping her attention away from Snakepaw.

ugh, old cats. they just got under her fur. the young feline trotted over to the fresh-kill pile and grabbed a plump thrush before hearing littleheart's voice. so, he isn't dead yet. she thought and dropped the uneaten prey back into the pile before heading over by snakepaw. bright eyes rolled and she merely sat down, obviously annoyed with this guy's attitude.

  • [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=;border:0;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:11px;line-height:1.5]Mossstep frowned at Littleheart's response. The elders were all stubborn to some extent, but Littleheart was at a whole 'nother level. "As your younger I feel it is only showing respect to take care of you, just as you took care of the elders before you. Now, you may not like it, but at least allow me to help so that I can have peace of mind in knowing you're alright." She smiled down at Hawkkit as he greeted her, and she nodded at him. "Hello, Hawkkit."
