For thousands of years the fae species has lived in Avalon. An ancient realm with only four gates to what is known as "earth". Not people, not animals, but plants. Faeries separated only by season have come here. In this school you will learn how to control and use your magic. The spring faeries' magic consists of plant growth, and sunshine manipulation. The summer faeries' magic is illusions and theatre performances. The fall fae make the potions and elixirs that the spring sentries use to guard the gates. And most importantly the winter faeries learn how to use their powers to open the gates and do many many other things.
Seasons are chosen based on a faerie's birthdate. For instance, a fae born in December is a winter faerie.

And looky here! Ace made another roleplay thread! But this one's a bit different. Usually, my rps are any species. From demons to butterfly angel characters. Not this time though, this time we are gonna roleplay faeries. I recently read a book about them and currently have high muse for them. So, pick a faerie. Then, pick a season. Winter faeries are the strongest, and the highest in power. Fall faeries are just beneath them and so on all the way down to spring fae. But they all treat each other with equality. All seasons live and work and learn together in this world. your birthdate decides your season, if you're born in fall, then you are a fall faerie, and so on. Now, it's time to choose, what season are you?

(history)Alese was born to two summer faeries, and, when young, appeared to belong with them as a summer faerie. In her early years, Alese had bright gold eyes and blonde hair to match. As she grew older, her blonde hair gradually faded to white, and her eyes dulled into a limp amber. By her birthdate in January, her parents knew she was a winter, but her frail, sickly nature made them protective. Her parents hid her away to try and protect her. They loved her dearly, and didn't want to give her up-especially since she was so frail. Eventually, her parents were killed by an angry Winter upon discovery of a 'kidnapped' winter child within their home. Afterward, she was taken to Winter Castle. In the last few years, she has been falling behind in her studies due to the fact that her magic is too powerful for her body, and using it makes her sick.[/fancypost]

Due to her frail nature, she spends most of her time alone and rarely talks to other people. This has further isolated her from other students, even those of seasons other than Winter.
More often than not, Alese will mistake shadows for enemies, and is startled rather easily. She Cuts herself off from other almost completely. Though this is her choice, she is negatively effected by just how lonely she is. She's never tried to make friends, and will never be the first person to step into a conversation. Others rarely talk to her, and more often then not make fun of her for her weakness, further estranging her from other Faeries.
