Collapsing into the ground, the wild cat perked his ears to listen to his persuers slam and hopelessly scrabble against the barrier that seperated them, growls and hisses rising up before they turned to angered voices fading away. "Thank god." Rooster breathed, relaxing long enough to take a look at his wounds. He had some shallow clawmarks along his back, and a nasty cut stretching across his face. "Skullface, you'd better be right about these clans." The tom prayed before heaving his now sore body up.
Lanky legs pulled him deeper into the forest with the sounds of the twolegplace eventually crumbling away to the orcestra that greeted the male. As Rooster crept among the greenery, a flash of movement caught his eye, causing his stomach to rumble. Food! Dropping into a hunting crouch, the serval slowly stalked forward, olive eyes focused carefully apon the small mouse. It was definately a harder target compared to the opossum sized rats he lived on in BloodClan. There lacked to be a breeze, so the tom had no sound to cover any mistake.
Slamming down on his hindquarters, the wildcat flew towards his prey, missing it by inches. Olive eyes watched it dart under the roots of a young tree before shooting a paw after it. He just managed to seize it with his dog tooth claws and drag it out to its death.
