Fortunately, she had been told by acquaintances that one of the closest clans was different- much more reasonable. It was also rumored to be a land filled with modern elements and more accessible tech. Putting two and two together, the Pinscher knew that she just had to get out. Thus, she packed a small bag with her most valued belongings and left in the dark of the night.

Traversing through a forest abundant with thin trees, Jensyn believed that it wouldn't be too much longer until she arrived at her destination. Looks like I haven't taken a wrong turn just yet. She had been following the instructions she received, but didn't realize just how long the trip would take. Despite the slightest hint of optimism, her mood was a consistent "When will I get there, dammit!" Another contributing factor was the prevalent aches and pains. How would I be feeling if I didn't exercise regularly? She stopped herself from continuing on that train of thought to avoid bringing herself down some more.

On that note, she began to recollect the various pieces of architecture and craftsmanship she had passed by during her trek. A smile tugging at her lips, the memory of a ladybug landing on her nose as she admired the scenery manifested itself. Feeling energized, Jensyn sped up her pace. It wasn't long before she spotted the most important sight she had viewed in quite some time. Further ahead was a hub built from all kinds of materials, technology of all kinds, and what appeared to be a few individuals carrying out their business. Her excitement quickly began to deflate as her eyes rested upon the vasts amounts of debris and shards of glass. This wasn't exactly what she was expecting from a supposedly neutral clan.

Moving towards the entrance, she continued to gaze at at the destruction amidst the colors and lights. With an abrupt stop, Jensyn remembered a piece of crucial information- she is not a part of the Arcane yet. Not wanting to enter forbidden territory, the canine scanned the area to see if anybody had spotted her. "Hello there?"[/fancypost]

  • Regina had been about to head over to the radio tower when she spotted the stranger. She froze for a heartbeat, then relaxed and bounded in a crooked gait over to the newcomer. If this was a joiner, then this wouldn't take too long. It was an auto-acceptance policy anyway, unless there was an underlying threat of course. Tugging her cloak closer to herself, she then halted and offered up a wide smile while a forepaw tinkered with the seaglass necklace around her neck. "Hello." She said. No familiar group scents that she was aware of. "Could you please give me your name and business with the Arcane?"

What...happened here? Mouth agape, Jensyn was still devastated to see the state of the Arcane's hub. Rubble and glass were scattered across the area, and some of the structures looked as if they had endured some kind of ordeal. She had been told that the clan was one of reason and would not engage in violence unless necessary- a promise which the Pinscher is currently questioning. If that is true, then...perhaps an inevitable confrontation occurred. Jensyn was not one to dwell on the worst of possible outcomes, but she was quite aware that no society is in perfect harmony. Thinking back to why she had decided to travel here in the first place, she began to dread that recent history has repeated itself in the Arcane. Well, the fact that I'm able to stand here while thinking says something.

Moments later, an unknown figure was heading towards Jensyn. Analyzing the individual, it seemed that they did not have any malicious intentions. They also appeared to be younger than Jensyn. Now, she's dealt with plenty of children and teenagers during her life. Because of this, the Arcanian was not to be underestimated merely based upon size. The youth's gear suggested that this group did have a focus on technology and styles such as steampunk. There's one myth confirmed.

With a welcoming grin, the Arcanian inquired about what Jensyn was here for. Small smile upon her features, Jensyn answered the expected questions. "Hello to you too. I'm Jensyn and have come here with the hopes of joining the Arcane." I also hope that I haven't made the biggest mistake of my life. she thought to herself. Then again, if the state of the hub meant that the clan needs help to fix up, she would be happy to lend a hand.

Jace had also been hanging around the desecrated Hub, again despite Midna's orders not to venture into its dangerous premises. It was still the plaza she knew and loved, just with more work to get around and a higher chance of getting crushed by a building. Sneaking around was fun anyway. She'd been trying to watch Regina and get a feel for the Nyari's personality [Jace had interacted with her barely at all] when Jensyn approached with the wish to join.

Jace tipped her head sideways as a curious energy pushed her to greet them both. I wonder why she came all the way into this mess? She could prompt the question later though; this was pretty important. Some new faces around the temporary camp would help brighten the gloomy mood Ganon left behind. "Hey there! You're pretty much welcome if you want to join. Nothing sketchy in your past, right?" Jace woofed as she made her way over, kicking up small bits of debris as she moved. "I'm Jacinth."

The only reason why Twilight was in the plaza was to make sure that buildings were secure, and she even risked buildings collapsing on her when she did. Well, there was no other way to do it, and it would explain why she hadn't seen the others, however. It would be ironic, if she were to die due to a building collapsing on her, since she had pretty much gone through hell and back trying to stop the demon who had caused such trouble in the first place, but perhaps she deserved it. Perhaps she was weak, or stubborn, but whatever the reason, she had refused to give up fighting for her spot as leader back when Ganon had first stolen her identity. She had come close, sure, sometimes moping in her room for an entire day or so when she had hit a particularly low point, but something in her refused to let him win.
And you know what? He hadn't won.
She was supposed to feel proud, and though she was proud of her members for pulling through and helping to clean up the mess she was unable to prevent, she simply felt... shame and guilt. Demons seemed to plague her, though she was determined to put her paw down and be more alert for them. Since having to live as 'Midna' for months, in disguise, constantly wary of being found out, she had developed a sense of paranoia, or perhaps she was more cautious of her surroundings now. She hadn't lost trust in anyone, or not really, anyway, but now... she found it a lot harder to.
This joiner was different, however. Well... Twili couldn't say for sure, but her first impression of Jen wasn't too bad. She seemed to carry no ill intent, and the thought brought some comfort to her. They needed more members- why was she thinking like this?
With a small smile of greeting, she would meow, "What Jace said- your hopes and dreams have been fulfilled. Welcome to the Arcane! Name's Twilightprincess, but everyone calls me Twili." Or... they would have, before this whole mess with Ganon had started. "I'm the superintendent around here. If you have any questions about the place, don't be afraid to come ask, yeah?"
