  • [fancypost bordercolor=transparent; width: 450px][justify][font=georgia]It wasn't hard to decipher what his weekly task was. He clutched the drawing of a picnic, carefully inspecting it as he pondered how to go about doing this. He could barely hunt and wasn't sure where to find food, but he do his damnedest. He swore to himself that he would do this -- even if it was difficult, he would do his weekly task to the best of his ability.

After hours prepping, he had finally done it. He managed to scrounge up strange human foods he'd never heard of -- cake, soda, sandwiches, and other weird edibles. He also managed to catch a few meager pieces of fresh-kill -- they were mangled, as he had never hunted before, and the pieces were numbered. Still, he caught things. There were a few cups of water, which he had painstakingly filled one by and one and carried back to the checkered blanket under the lone tree on the hill. But after all of his planning, he had finally managed to do it. It wasn't the best by any means, but he was proud of himself. He grinned and took a seat, hoping others would join him.

A light smile would illuminate his thoughtful expression, as he briefly tossed his contemplations aside, to check up on his comrade instead, picking up his pace to draw near to the male. "Hey, Eph!" The collie would greet, as the other settled themselves, drawing Chervil's aureate gaze towards the blanket and items of food that they had arranged.

His orbs blinked, curiosity traversing his features, as his attention carefully traced each delicacy. Sure, the prey was numbered, but prey would always be numbered, and it wasn't as if they'd need an overwhelming amount, anyway. Eph had tried, and that effort was all that really mattered, in this particular circumstance. Indeed, they were mangled, but Chervil was fine with that - food was food, after all.

"Wow, did you do all this?" The leader would inquire, gaze shifting towards the male. Whilst it wasn't unusual to see someone arranging a picnic, or a feast, he hadn't expected for Eph to have pulled this all together himself, either. Though, then again, it wasn't as if the other hadn't struck him as a hard worker, either, it was simply that he hadn't seen him set up something similar to this prior to now, which was why it had vaguely surprised him.

planeticket was soaring above the moor, trying to explore his new surrouding as best as he could when he noticed what appeared to be a picnic going on below him. interest sparked within him, and the winged bobcat tucked in his wings and dived headfirst towards ephemeris, stopping just before crashing into the picnic foods. the charcoal tabby was one of the cats who'd been there when he joined, and they seemed around the same age, so planeticket hoped they would become friends. "hey! nice picnic!" he commented as he steadied himself on the ground. padding closer, he noticed a familiar dessert practically calling him over, and his powder blue eyes lit up. "is that cake?"

Win wasn't sure what his last weekly task had been. Probably something practical, since he would insist on receiving something that wasn't useless. That didn't mean that a few of them didn't slip through — once, he'd been tasked with face paints. That hadn't been the greatest thing, because he wasn't creative and didn't like doing something that didn't seem to serve a purpose. One of the earliest memories he had of this place was an old clanmate setting up a place to relax, and yet Darkknight (Winterpaw, at the time) had sat as stiff as a board, eyes narrowed. Taking a day off wasn't something he had even considered until his short vacation to SunClan. And even still, the canine finds himself approaching a picnic, of all things. Really, he's not even sure why he bothers. As a trained assassin, he eats when he needs to, not because he wants to, and he doesn't do sweets at all. It's not the social aspect that draws him in, either. Anyone who's met him knows that he's bad with words.

For some reason, he sits down and looks at everything Ephemeris had set up. It wasn't anything extravagant or spectacular, but he can see that there was a lot of effort put into it. As such, he doesn't judge anything here. Instead, he tilts his head at the offered food. "Cake?" He knew what it was, having grown up near a city, but that didn't mean that he'd tried it before. Or any of the other human foods, for that matter. "Where did you get all of this?"

  • the youth would make her way over, her eyes wide at the sight of the many human foods and pieces of fresh-kill laid out upon a cloth. there were actually a few foods that the advisor had never even seen before that were giving off delightful aromas and looked absolutely delicious. Coming to a stop beside win, the femme would inhale deeply, relishing the sweet, sugary scent of cake and the sharp, somewhat bitter smell of coke. Seating herself the advisor would speak, a grin on her face. "this all looks really good eph!" she would announce, tugging on the purple scarf around her neck a little while she spoke.

  • [fancypost bordercolor=transparent; width: 450px][justify][font=georgia]Eph was glad this was getting some attention. It would be sad if he had a one-man picnic. "Thank you!" He chirruped, grateful for all of the compliments he was getting. "I found everything! It's amazing what you find when you dig into weird places." He said, briefly staring off into the distance, taken off his train of thought. "Oh! Yeah, I think... I think it's cake." He said, furrowing his brows at the human pastry. "But, uh, you are all free to dig in!" He said, smiling.
