Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh, who would ever want to be king?[/fancypost]

[fancypost bgcolor= black; border: 2px transparent; overflow: auto; width: 250px; height: 150px; border-radius: 15px; text-align:justify; font-family: verdana;]Kageyama was awoken by extremely early-moning sunlight streaming through the window of Daichi's home. Surprisingly, the Kai Ken's house had survived the tornado with nary a scratch on it. Tobio's house was still just an empty space, but he didn't mind. He complained about it a lot, but he honestly didn't mind. He was just grateful to the canine for allowing Tobio to share his house for the time being. If only the black feline knew how much of a toll it was taking on poor Daichi...

Speaking of Daichi, the Bodyguard was nowhere to be found in the house. So the Warder gently lifted Kasai onto his shoulder and headed outside to look for him. It was the butt crack of dawn, so he didn't really expect anybody to be up. Thus, he was holding a one-sided conversation with the injured crow. "I hope you slept well, Kasai. I don't think Daichi has been. He's been nodding off during the day, and he usually smells weird when he's actually around. I'm actually Kim of worried about him..." Oh, he sure hoped nobody was nearby to hear that. The embarrassment would kill him, if anyone knew that he actually cared about someone else's well being. He was supposed to be emotionless, not [i]caring!

((Idk what this even is... Hey, has anybody else read the book Animal Farm by George Orwell? Random question, I know))

Mornings. How Frightfur Seraphim despised morning time. When the sun came up over the town's modest skyline and crept into through his window to smack him against the eyelids, it was those moments he wished the sun would shatter in the sky. It forced him awake somedays and kept him hiding under the heavy covers of his bed on other days.

Today, the little white serval was reluctantly awake and milling about the town with a tired grimace. It was too damn early to do anything. He wasn't one hundred percent sure why he even left his house. He didn't even think about breakfast. In fact, the Seraphim boy thought a whole lot of nothing until he saw something...something he didn't really like.

If he hated mornings, there was something he hated almost (almost!) as equally: and that was birds. The Colouredclanner with the crow from across the way was speaking to the bird-brain creature like it was a friend. That was possible, but it didn't exactly make Fright feel any more comfortable about his lack luster morning. "Uh? Excuse me, partner, but wouldn't it be nicer to talk to someone who could, ya know..." he called out to Tobio before his sentence trailed off and he was left simply staring. He wanted to finish with 'someone who could talk back' but he was starting to second guess that the bird might could do just that. Regardless, he hoped the other didn't think he meant to offer himself as friendly neighborhood guy to start a conversation with...

//whatever it is, I treid to reply to it

Yep, I've read Animal Farm by Orwell (but that was like 5-6 years ago)! I still retain the general plot/discussion points, however. Why do you ask?

Wide-eyed with horror--someone had caught him talking to Kasai as if the crow could answer--he faced the other male, grinning sheepishly as he replied quickly, "Oh, uh, I wasn't talking to him! I was talking to...uh..." he trailed off, unable to save himself. So he just stood there awkwardly, hoping the kid didn't think he was insane.

[fancypost borderwidth=0;width: 485px;font-family: verdana; line-height:94%; font-size: 8.5pt;margin-top:10px;][justify]Chess might have ended up sighting him while he was speaking to a less than intelligent bird. She still envied Kageyama's luck, especially since she still couldn't find an injured crow of her own to take. She didn't actually mind him speaking to his pet either. She would have done the same, since having company like that was pleasureful. It was difficult to avoid eavesdropping on his conversation with the avian, and none too subtly at that. An expression of curiosity graced her features as she tapped a paw to her chin briefly, head tilted slightly in thought. She didn't know who Daichi was, but he sounded troubled. Most didn't begin talking to any random creature unless they were. Chess couldn't find any empathy to relate to his words, her insensitivity keeping her calm and unworried. His friend could probably handle himself. If he smelt weird, perhaps he was flirting with people at a bar. That'd be an interesting turn of events. Chess couldn't think of anything more practical, which proved that she didn't understand mortal behavior at all.

When Frightfur's voice sounded, Chess took his appearance as her cue to follow, skipping out from her 'hiding spot' and smiling at Kageyama as she approached. "Aw, come now! I think the affectionate he's showing is lovable!" there was a teasing element to her tone, since he'd always acted so calm and collected in front of his clanmates. It was cute to see that he wasn't the emotionless shell he often pretended to be. "Don't be silly! I heard almost everything!" she addressed Kageyama next, stretching out a paw in hope of being able to stroke the avian lovingly. The black feathers were so stunning to the eye. "He's so cute! I might be jealous!" she chirped, not even bothering to discuss Daichi. She wasn't concerned with his friend.

Nighttales would hum, a light grin traversing his maw as he weaved his way over, promptly after Chess' arrival. His mismatched orbs would then proceed to settle on the crow, as it shifted, its small, but stark onyx form, somewhat suiting its companionship with Tobio, due to their matching obsidian hues. Anyhow, such was a whimsical thought, of sorts. All jokes aside, it had seemed as if Tobio had been pretty stressed over something.

Therefore, the commander's grin briefly dissolved, instead being replaced with the concerned furrowing of his fictional brows. "You were worried about Daichi, right?" He'd inquire. There was nothing wrong with being paranoid in regards to another's wellbeing - Nighttales didn't seem it, but he tended to worry about a few people, as well. Tobio, whom had gradually become a familiar face. Frightfur, whom had a sharp tone and a thin temper, but a friend nevertheless. Even Chess, one of the individual whom he somehow managed to care plenty about - moreso than he would have imagined, considering that he doubted that she felt the same amount of concern for another individual, at all. She simply hadn't seemed like it, but that was fine. The care for an individual didn't need to be mutual, to exist.

At the end of the speech, Chess appeared. It actually quite irritated him that she chose that time to show her face. It made it look they were/had been together when they had, in fact, not. Frighty's green eyes glinted as he glanced her figure and he stuck out his tongue in a playful, sour greeting. No one could expect a less asshole from the candy-loving half-pint this early in the morning.

"Oh, uh, I wasn't talking to him! I was talking to...uh..."

[i]The what—who? I don't see anything! Frightfur taunted in an tone full of sarcasm as he thought up what he wanted to say back to the obsidian feline. Yet, Chess spoke first. First to him and then all about fawning of the pet of the other.

"Lovable, huh? Don't tell me he loves the bird..." the mechanical serval muttered to Chess as he frowned uncertainly at the crow so near to Kageyama.

Nighttales's approach pushed Frightfur a little farther from the circle. He hardly offered the older, more naturally coloured serval a greeting save for almost tripping over the other's paws. "No—! That won't do," he decided and said aloud. Frightfur hated birds. They weren't relatable and they weren't his friends, either. The owl was the only winged and feathered creature that came close to being in his favor.

"Excuse me, I just really don't prefer birds, pardners. Anyhow...who's this Daichi?" the Seraphim triplet asked from a little ways away from the group gathered out in the morning air, feeling a little to introverted and untrusting to be close but too dejected to stand too far away and ignore.
