Grinning, you lift up your head only to be met by a pair of wide gray eyes. You yelp as a white lion snarls and pins you down. You struggle, only to realize that the strength of the large white lion is too much. When the lion spoke, it was a male voice you heard. "Trespasser! Why would you dare to come across The Garatin Front's borders, which are carefully guarded by our Warriors!" he spits in your face, his shinny white teeth close to your snout. You go to say something, now trembling with fear. His paws digs let go of your neck, to let you speak. You are obviously dumbfounded by how he didn't kill you right then and there. "Furthermore, did you not smell myself on that zebra? I killed it, and I was going to take it back for the Elders." He hissed, but then he smirks and backs up. "Then again, with some hardcore training, you may be a pretty good warrior. Come on, kid. Oh, by the way, my name's Lincoln, the Lord of the Front. He didn't like his life, being mistreated by other animals. He wanted to be a normal cheetah. The closest he got to ever being a normal cheetah was meeting up with a cheetah cub, who was called Naomi. Naomi's mother raised Okani as one of her own, and when the time came for all of Naomi's cubs to split and go their ways, Okani and Naomi went together. Along the way, they met a peaceful white lion named Vonalin. Befriending him, they continued on their "journey." Okani and Vonalin were asleep one day, and they woke up to the sound of Naomi hissing and yowling at a lion, who seemed to be chasing her away from something. Okani ran after her. For hours and hours they ran, until they came across a beautiful land of savannah and grasslands, with plenty of buffalo and antelope as well as rich, fresh water. Vonalin, hopelessly lost, followed their scent. Soon, he caught up to them, seeing as they had made a little group. Taking on the idea, he went his separate way, creating his own Front. He invited all sorts of savannah animals to stay with them; giraffes, zebras, buffalo, lions, jaguars, cheetahs, leopards, and the white lion who would become his future mate. However, when natural prey joined their home, this prey was putting themself at great risk. They were often hunted and killed for food, but then again sometimes prey would kill the predator too. Overall, if they were in the Front, it was alright. Becoming mates with a female named Tona, she become his Lady. Then came the fateful day when Vonalin and Tona, the Lord and Lady of the area, had cubs. Two sons, the older one named Sanders, and the younger one named Lincoln. Originally, the firstborn son - Sanders - would have been the new Lord of this unnamed place of peace. But when Sanders and Lincoln were only five months old, the nomad lions attacked Okani and Naomi's group, unnamed at the time. They had been copying the two group's safe havens, and been building a massive pride of their own, but out of only evil, vengeful predators. Sanders had been out hunting, when they attacked him, and killed him on sight. Vonalin and Tona, soon finding out, told Lincoln to stay behind, while they went to get revenge. Lincoln still slipped out and followed. Okani led all of his subjects into battle, and so did Vonalin, while Naomi, Tona, Sonyx - their daughter-, and all the other mothers and their babies fled deeper into the territory. Luckily, Okani and Vonalin won the war. Ever since then, they had been known as The Garatin Front - a fierce and formidable group on the outside, but on the inside all about peace and happiness, who were kind to one another. Okani's group was known as The Liberation Front. Though they won the war, the two did not return from the fateful battle. It would have been tradition for a new Lord to come from the mist, but since Sanders had died, Tona refused to pick a new Lord, before starving herself of depression and died. However, Tona did not die until Lincoln was two years old, a handsome, young white lion, now old enough to rule. Still being two years old now, it is up to Lincoln to choose a Lord, or else he takes on the challenge of everlasting exile. Traditions;; There are many different traditions. It is tradition for each and every predator male to have a male prey messenger, which he uses to send messages to allies or to other animals within The Garatin Front that live too far away from him, or to females to formally invite them to what they call a 'pleasing', which is sort of like a proposal but not. Prey have messengers too, but these are birds whom have learnt the language of each and every animal within the Front. If the Lord retires or dies, but the Lady is still alive or does not wish to retire, the Lady will become mates with her firstborn son, but this does not mean she is no longer mates with the previous Lord, whom she may have loved dearly. Any animals against sexualities of any kind shall be punished publicly by the Lord himself. When cubs are born, the Lord and the Lady call the family to their residence, using the Lord's messenger. The rest of the Front is called upon too, and they will all party for two nights and the day in between those nights. Females will wear flower crowns - orange if they're the Lady, but white if they're any other rank - made out of flowers grown in the grasslands part of their territory. Males wear a necklace with one nomad lion's tooth on it - six if they're the Lord. This is a good way to find the monarchy during the business of the celebration. This celebration is held for three nights and the two days in between if the monarchy have cubs. Beliefs;; The Garatin Front's heavenly ancestors are called Vontona (pronounced Von-to-na). This is a mix of Lincoln's parents' names, due to the fact they were the first animals of the Front to ever die. The Garatin Front's hellish ancestors are called Vonaki (pronounced Vo-na-kee).
