• [fancypost bordercolor=transparent; width: 450px]Alice had worked up all of her courage to do this. She contemplated this for days and now she was really doing this. If she had a heart, it would pounding out of her chest right about now. But she was ready. She was sick of being holed up in a depressive state. What was the worst that could happen?

She knew he would be patrolling. She knew he would come to this very spot. So that's where she waited, her demeanor calm as she waited for what was to come. The future was uncertain; she had seen so many possibilities, so many ways this could go wrong. But she didn't care. She knew they were meant to be. She wouldn't be disappointed, she told herself. Whatever was to come, she was ready. She took in a deep sigh, eyes closed as she waited.

( IT'S GONNA BE WEIRD HAVING A PRIVATE THREAD WITH MYSELF LMAO,,,

  • [fancypost bordercolor=transparent; width: 450px]Jasper had been out and patrolling, nothing of importance on his mind, even though a lot had happened in the past couple of days. His newfound relationship -- was it a relationship? They both liked each other. His newfound almost relationship, Leon stepping down, and Francis stepping down. Still, he couldn't think of those things. He was all business when he was patrolling. He couldn't be bothered to meddle in his personal affairs.

Nearing the steps, he caught an eerily familiar scent. Brow furrowed, he walked over, spotting the black feline. He swallowed. She was... like him. He had met a few subspecies of vampires in his time after leaving the Wars, but she was utterly like him. Except her eyes were the color of liquid gold, not red or black. This just brought more questions. "Name and business, ma'am...?" He asked, unsure.

That wasn't the only strange thing about her. Her emotions were those of love and joy. So much love. What was this about? Did one of his clanmates have a secret relationship with a vampire? He was suddenly wary; he was intruding on something he shouldn't be. Someone else was supposed to be here. Should he leave? No, that would be weird. He spoke up again. "You're like me. You're not..." He trailed off. "Mortal." He settled on, a mystified look on his face.

  • [fancypost bordercolor=transparent; width: 450px]A smile danced across her features as she heard quiet footsteps approaching. She couldn't help herself; this was really happening. She watched Jasper stalk up to her, her eyes twinkling in excitement. If she hadn't known any better, she would've thought she was dreaming. She inspected him, taking in every inch of his scarred body. He was even more beautiful than he was in her visions. Each scar told a story, his eyes held grief and sorrow, yet sparked with curiosity. She waited a few minutes before speaking, too entranced in his figure to speak. Finally, her smoldering gaze landed on his crimson eyes.

"You kept me waiting long enough." She rumbled, her voice light and airy. She didn't bother telling her name and business. He'd find out soon enough. After he trailed off on his second set of words, she spoke quickly. "From around here?" She giggled. She already knew what he was going to say, but that didn't stop her from speaking. As he uttered the word 'mortal', she laughed again. "That, too."

Her eyes turned to the sky, black with clouds. "We have a good seat to watch the fireworks." She murmured. A few seconds after her casual statement, white-hot lightning split the sky in half, followed quickly by the deep rumble of thunder. Her attention was back on the Combatant, waiting for his reaction.

  • [fancypost bordercolor=transparent; width: 450px]Jasper watched as the unfamiliar nanogirl inspected him and suddenly felt a little self-conscious. He was a vampire, beauty became him, but the scars that freckled his forearms and were clustered around his neck and jaw weren't very pleasing to the eye. But she didn't seem to care; her eyes were filled with a mixture of emotions -- a gentle kindness, a wonder, and awe. Certainly she wasn't expecting him? But as her words reached him, his thoughts were denied. A smile was slow to tug at his features. "Didn't know I had somewhere to be." He answered back smoothly. Something about her was... different. And he liked that. Suddenly, all the hardships in life were washed away. Her smile could cure a broken heart. He was like putty in her hands. In that moment, nothing else mattered. Nothing but her.

As she laughed, he shivered. The sound was like silver bells ringing out on a clear summer day; nothing could even come close to mimicking the musical way she giggled. His closed his eyes, savoring the sound. He was lost in deep thought when she spoke again. Confusion once again flickered across his face. Fireworks? What was she talking about? Before he could question her, he witnessed the sky light up in glorious lightning, the crack of thunder quick to follow. He met her gaze again, his jaw dropped in awe. "Did you do that?" He asked, mesmerized. He had heard of fellow vampires with powers stronger than his. And the control of weather certainly qualified as such.

  • [fancypost bordercolor=transparent; width: 450px]The Keeper watched him carefully, examining all the microexpressions that flitted across his face. She felt her metaphorical heart melt when he grinned at her and spoke, the lilt of his southern accent carried in the wind. She sighed, content. "Oh, Jasper." She said, her words light and airy. She could feel the tension fade away, instead replaced by a feeling like the reunion between two close friends. This was going better than she could've hoped for. As he looked towards the sky to watch the oncoming storm, she raised her head and laughed, the sound beautiful.

"No, that wasn't me." Alice admitted. "But if you think I'm that powerful, you're on the right track." She said with a wink. She could feel he was about to ask just what exactly she did; how she knew about the storm, his name, when he would be there. Everything. She didn't wait to give him the explanation he deserved. "Let's just say I'd make a killing in palm readings." She hinted, smile unfaltering. She could take with him for hours, or days, or years. And that was exactly what she was planning on doing. She blinked sunlight-colored eyes, coming to the realization she hadn't introduced herself yet. "I'm Alice, by the way."

    [/fancypost]

  • [fancypost bordercolor=transparent; width: 450px]The ex-soldier was taken aback when she sighed his name. He didn't remember introducing himself. His nonexistent brows furrowed once again in silent question. This was making his head spin. Was he dreaming? Had he died and gone to heaven? No, he wouldn't make it to heaven. Hell had a special place with his name on it. Then what was this? His fate? Destiny? Were things starting to finally go his way? This couldn't be possible. She wasn't leading him on, he knew that; no one could fake emotions that well. Then what...?

Palm readings? He blinked before making the connection. He raised his paw and held it towards her, palm-side up. "What does the future have in store for me, Alice?" He said, the name tasting sweet on his tongue. In that very moment, nothing could bring him down. He could be exiled from BlizzardClan, chased out with pitchforks and torches, or everyone in the clan could die and he wouldn't care. The only thing that mattered was her.

  • [fancypost bordercolor=transparent; width: 450px]Alice took Jasper's callused paw in her own, gently tracing the mountains and valleys in it. Even his stone-cold touch was perfect. Her eyes were half-lidded, a smile placed on her maw. She trained her mind to focus on his future -- their future. The image of a BlizzardClan NPC approaching, a thorn caught in his paw, the smell of blood in the air flashed across her mind. The afterthought of Jasper leaping up and sinking his teeth into his clanmate was quick to follow. Her eyes opened the full way, a sense of urgency in them. "First, we become vegetarians." She said hurriedly.

She watched as the NPC approached and without warning, her mouth was pressed against Jasper's. She locked her arms around his neck, melting into him. Her head spun, his sweet scent invading her senses. Once she knew he was distracted and would no longer be interested in the bloody NPC who had wandered off, she drew away from him, her melted gold eyes burning into his. "Run away with me." She breathed. It wasn't a request; she knew he would follow. Still, her eyes were hopeful as she waited for a response.

    [/fancypost]

  • [fancypost bordercolor=transparent; width: 450px]Jasper felt her soft touch, watching her face carefully. Then there was drastic moodshift and her eyes were back on his. Vegetarians? He was prepared to question her when the scent of blood flooded his senses. His eyes widened and he was about to dash off when he felt her cold lips against his. He blinked in surprised, however didn't detangle himself from her grip. Instead, he pressed against her, ecstatic. Thoughts buzzed in his head while he was simultaneously at a loss for words. He completely forgot about the faded scent of blood, only focusing on her touch.

Their kiss ended too soon. He couldn't hide the disappointment that traversed across his face. But she seemed to have a way to do the right thing. At her words, he silently nodded. Wherever she went, he would go. No matter what they did, as long as they were together he was at peace. He took her hand and the two dashed down the stairs and fled. The only trace of him left was his scent mingled with hers.

For the first time in almost a century, he felt hope.

  • [fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 0px;]Once again, Beekeeper couldn't feel remorse at this departure even if his personality made him very sympathetic towards anything and anyone. He didn't know who this was. All he knew was the name; Jasper and the fact that he had disappeared right now. He smelled another scent, one he didn't recognize at all. His ears pricked and the orange and white feline thoroughly studied the area for any more clues but there was nothing else, just those two scents. Had he been captured? That was not good if that was the case and he hoped that he was wrong, very wrong. Is Jasper was being hurt then his clanmates would get mad and raid people, hurt people. And it wouldn't just be the other clans being hurt but his own clanmates, and he wouldn't be able to do much other then help and heal them.

"That's no good." Bee muttered to himself, tail twitching anxiously to and fro.

The servaline would arrive, promptly after Beekeeper - halting by the male's side and having her ashen orbs briefly skirt the ground that the other had left, during their departure. She should be happy for him, shouldn't she? She was happy for him. If he felt bliss - if he could find solace in love.. Then, she'd be happy for him, and understand the.. decision, that he had made. She couldn't help but feel slight confliction, on the other hand, as her chest tightened, and her teeth sunk into her bottom lip. The femme's fictional brows knitted; delicate expression contorting into that of a pained frown. She only wished that he would have lingered for long enough to say goodbye, however. She only hoped that this wouldn't be goodbye, at that.. But, nonetheless, she felt her insides twist with the sudden ache, of having another friend gone.. Of having Jasper gone, at that. She wasn't sure as to when she had gotten so attached to him, but he was a friend, and Tama would undoubtedly miss him.

  • He wasn't too sure what to think of Jasper, he had been a strange... creature. He didn't know why, but he just felt like Jasper was a whole lot different. His past... it was something Storm was very curious about, simply because he felt like it was something that was still very important in the guy's life. But then again, he didn't really know much about him, so... maybe he was wrong. Either way, it was rather sad to see him go.
