Obviously no pressure but this is here if you want it :)
ah real quick coukd we right diwn a timeline of this thread? Like what we're doing the next couple of pages snd stuff :-) I feel like that would help me!!
I actually really wanted Avery and his new partner to like click and fall in love bc he knows he can't be with Eden, ans then Eden writes to him one day and he leaves her, but his partner is a lesbian XD sooooo that won't work.
OH! I DID NOT KNOW TAHT. I’m sorry :( Although I kinda had to think of a reason she was unmatched.
SO we can kinda do the same thing, but instead of them falling in love they can find out that they’re actually super similar or maybe complete opposites and they totally click as friends? because that’s kinda what I was thinking. Like, they just totally bro it out, and they come to love each other in an entirely platonic way. But if you think of something else that’s cool.
OR I could go back and make Bekah bi with lesbian tendencies. You know, 75/25 or something like that, though I feel like eh.
IF you have another solution lemme know, I am all about sharin plot ideas.
BUT in terms of a timeline, I was thinking that Eden stays with Avery for, like, two more days before she leaves. She goes back to her life, he goes on with his. Eden keeps putting off having s*x with Tony, because she really, really, really doesn’t want to. Like she’d rather die. And then the window for conception is coming to it’s close and she has like three days left and she actually runs away.
I was thinking that she could do it without telling anyone, flee to wherever, and then officials could come out and look for Avery, and ask him where she is, and he could find out she’s missing that way? And then maybe Avery and Bekah go on the search for Eden together. Bekah could find a girl on the way :) And I was thinking maybe they don’t have the same conception window because the government knows that Bekah is not into dudes, at all, and they already won one battle by matching her off, and so they honestly don’t care all that much about kids?
I don't know if that helps but that's what I was thinking about.
no no! It's fine. The lesbian thing is wonderful :-)
AND FOR EVERYTHING ELSE I LVOE IT. I WANT BEKAH AND AVERY TO BE BFFS AND EDEN TO RUN AWAY AND ALL OF IT.
perfect :) so are you good to reply, or do you need me to do something else? because I can. I'm not pushing, I promise. I just don't want to forget this one because we just picked it up again.
could we maybe skip a few days or something?? :-) I wanna keep it alive!! I love it so much.

Eden knocked on the door to the Cross house, a little frown across her face. Avery had told her a million times that she could just come in, but the Councilman had made if very clear that she wasn’t exactly welcomed. And as much as she would like to flip him off and tell him exactly where she thought he could stick his ideals, Avery had been acting a little weird lately. Well, not weird… she admitted to herself as she stood there on his doorstep, alone, feeling sad and pathetic and clingy and pale as she cuddled closer into the sweater he’d accidentally left with her. Just different.
And that was the problem. She’d always thought that she’d be the first to let go for their final hug, the one who would leave first. Because as much as she thought she loved Avery, she knew he loved her back. And he was actually comfortable admitting that. And she knew it was selfish, but she’d always expected that to be a constant in her life. But now she wasn’t sure if it was. Because now he had a MATCH, a girl with red hair who had pretty blue eyes and was always so confident and kind of charming, while at the same time not giving a single d*mn what anyone thought of her. All the things that Eden wanted to be. And he didn’t need her anymore.
She broke from her thoughts when she heard a sound, and she turned to the door with a wide grin before realizing that it was just the opening of the pen to the goats behind the house, and that she was still standing there, in the morning drizzle of this sh*tty town, alone. She reached up to give another knock to the door before realizing that it was pointless, that she should have wanted this to happen, and instead just turned away. She never expected their last day to be like this.
Aden rushed around frantically. He'd heard the knock and he knew exactly who it was. The mal had successfully convinced Bekah to go out to the barn to give him some alone time with Eden, but now he had to work on himself. The man had been in sweatpants and t-shirts the entire length of his first fwo days here. The depressing weather really wasn'f helping his mood, so he gave up quickly on looking nice.
After a few minutes, he ran down the hall, still buttoning his jeans. The blonde ran his fingers through his long blonde hair, then bit his lip and grabbed hold of the doorknob. He slowly opened it, a smile forming in his lips when he saw Eden standing there. He reached out and immediately pulled her inside, wrapping her in a huge hug. He nuzzled his face into her neck, then pulled away and gently cupped her face in his large hands.
"I'm so glad you're here," he whispered, his thumbs rubbing over her skin to feel how soft tge skin was that he used fo pepper eith kisses. His eyes locked with hers and she gave a defeated sigh, the sadness apparent within his emerald orbs. "I've missed you so much. Are you okay? Are you all packed up ans ready to go?"
Eden started when she heard the door because, by that point, she’d already convinced herself that Avery was gone, that he and Bekah had moved into their new house together without telling her and were already making out and planning their wedding. She spiraled kinda fast. But then she felt his arms around her and she stiffened for just a moment before realizing that he was, in fact, holding her again, and she gave a relieved sigh, tears springing to her eyes, before turning in his arms and holding him back.
“I’ve missed you too…” she whispered after a second, reaching up a moment later to brush away the beginning of tears that had welled up underneath her eyes, reaching over his hands to do it herself. She lowered them slowly, though, pausing for a moment to drape her hands around his neck, before remembering that wasn’t okay, and quickly pulling them back, resting them by her side instead as she leaned into his hands.
“And I’ve been better.” she finished weakly, looking at him with a nervous smile. Because as much as the boy who was looking at her was her Avery, she couldn’t help but feel like she was intruding. Even though she knew that she was probably making things up, there was that lasting little flicker of insecurity that she could do nothing to dispel. “You?” she finished a moment later. Tell me you’ve been happy and I’ll go away. And I’ll never look back, I promise… she thought a second later, though she knew that wasn’t true. She would look back. And no matter what he did, she’d always wonder what if.
Avery gently caressed her face, staring into her eyes. He bit his lip, giving a soft smile as he looked into those blue depths once more. It had only been two days, but he missed them. He missed everything about her. His fingers left her face and trailed into her hair, gently brushing the damp strands frommher face that had been caught by the rain. He gave a soft shrug, biting his lip.
"It's weird," he murmured. "Not being with you. I miss you like crazy..." he murmured, looking down at her with a sheepish smile. "And Bekah is...different. Very different..." he murmured, looking into her eyes, wondering if she knew the big secret.
It only took Eden a few moments to realize that coming over here was a mistake. An awful, awful mistake. Because looking into his eyes… It made it absolutely impossible to even think of leaving him. How could you leave someone who you knew owned your heart and soul? She had no idea. And she was going to have to do it later that day, and it hurt every single part of her. She looked up at him again, her eyes watering, before she took a deep breath and brushed them away- again- and just gave a little giggle instead.
“I’m glad… I’m glad you missed me.” she admitted after a moment, realizing how selfish it sounded, and she knew what she was saying was kind of petty, but she had to say it. Because she loved him, she did, she knew that now, one hundred percent, and she needed to know. “I thought… I thought you’d moved on already? With Bekah.” she continued, her voice soft as she looked at him, a blush across her face. “She’s pretty cool, from what I can tell. Doesn’t give a single sh*t what anyone thinks about her.” she finished softly, wondering what the h*ll he meant by different.
Avery smiled at her soft giggle, his thumbs gently resting on her cheekbones as he stared down at her. He blushed slightly at her words, a cheeky frin on his lips. He pulled her closer, eyes locking with hers excitedly. He bit at his lip, then leaned close to whisper the amazing secret to her.
"Eddie," he began softly. "She's a lesbian." He looked downnat her, nodding excitedly. "Can you believe it? That's why she never had a match to begin with. They took her man and sent him back home to be with Tony's girl, sent me here to be away from you, then matched you and Tony. All because she likes girls..." he murmured softly.
While Avery only got more and more excited as she admitted her feelings, Eden was getting more and more pissed. Because he knew how she felt about him, she was sure of it, and he was only getting more and more excited to rub it in that he’d moved on and she was going to be stuck on him the rest of her life. But, then… Then he wasn’t. Then he was leaning in and whispering that secret and it took her a few seconds to realize what he said because she was distracted, but when she did her eyes grew wide and she stared at him.
“No.” she breathed, looking at him for a second before breaking down into a giggle. She leaned forward, resting her forehead against his chest, just laughing in his arms for a few seconds before looking back up and pushing him the rest of the way into the house, shutting the door behind her, and then kissing him when she finally turned back around. “Oh my god. I’ve literally been so jealous for the past few days…” she admitted before blushing even more and shaking her head. “And she was more likely to hit on me than you!” she added.
She quickly kissed him again, listening to his explanation for a long second before rolling her eyes and giving a huff. “This whole system is f*cking dumb.” she announced, looking at him for a long second before giggling again and wrapping her arms around his neck, barely able to get enough of him, to pull herself close enough, now that she knew he was still hers, and she was still his. He hadn’t moved on yet. “I thought I’d lost you.” she finished dafter a moment before pressing her lips to his one more time. To h*ll with the Councilman.
Avery laughed softly, his arms wrapping around her as she pushed him inside more. He watxhed her close the door, a grin on his lips, his eyes shimmering with a playful maichief as she moved close and giggled. When she turned and kissed him, he gave a happy hum against her lips. His eyes opened as she pulled away and he grinned.
"Oh, were you?" he asked with a playful smirk. He laughed softly, leaning back against the wall now, his hands wrapping around her waist as she wrapped hers around his neck and kissed him once more. "Of course not, Eddie. I'm yours forever..." he whispered, then bit his lip. "I forgot how good your lips taste..." he hummed after a minute, his tongue wetting hiw lower lip, a smile on his lips.
“Yeah, I was.” Eden confirmed, sticking her tongue out at him for a second, refusing to recant for what she’d said, before giggling and pressing her lips to his jaw quickly. With that, she leaned against the wall as well, looking over at him with a giggle, and then just giving his hand a squeeze. “And I know you’re going to be all smug about it, but whatever. At least you’re still mine.” she announced, not even bothering to add the ‘for now’, because in her heart she knew they’d be each other’s forever.
At his kiss, she laughed and kissed him back, rolling her eyes when she heard his claim. “God, you’re such a d*ck…” she said, though she was laughing and, when she finally pushed him away, she raised an eyebrow at him and snorted. “Now, come on. We only have one more day to be together together. After this, you’re just going to have to settle for s*xting for the rest of your life…” she threatened playfully before raising an eberow at him and giggling again. “So. How do you want to spend it? What can we do in this town of yours? And no, we’re not having s*x all day.” she added at the end, narrowing her eyes at him teasing, even though she wasn’t sure if that’s what he was going to suggest or not.
Avery smirked slightly, completely missing a lot of her words and just pulling her against him. "Are you really going to s*xt me?" he asked with a smug smile. "D*mn. That's gonna be hot," he breathed. He looked downnat her, then kissed her lips deeply, his tongue teasing at her lips just before he pulled away. His hands gently wrapped around her waist and he bit his lip.
"There's not much to do, honestly. but the farm is huge. You want a tour?" he asked softly. "You can meet all of the goats and pigs and cows. You'll love the goats. They're so small and they love people..." he murmured softly, looking into her eyes. "Tell me what you want to do, love, and I'll do it. As long as we're together..."
“You have selective hearing. Did you know that? Because you do. All. The. Time.” Eden murmured as she looked up at him, resting her hands on his chest for a moment, getting ready to shove him off, but once she finished speaking, she just rested her head against his chest and gave a little hum. “And, yeah. Maybe. Maybe I was thinking about it. But only when I want to. So it’s a *nky surprise.” she added with a chuckle before reaching up and pressing her lips back to his, gasping when she felt his tongue brushing over her lips, her eyes wide when he pulled away.
At his words, she just raised an eyebrow and giggled. She was doing a lot of that today, giggling. “Sure. Yeah, absolutely. I want to see your farm, my big farmer man.” she announced, looking at him for a moment before biting her lip and looking at him nervously. “And… I mean, if she’d want to… Maybe I can meet Bekah? For real this time, without the Councilman hovering over us the whole time? Now that I know about, you know, her secret, I feel like we’d get along better. I know I wouldn’t be so hostile…” she muttered, looking at him hopefully.
Eden chuckled softly, then grinned softly. He bit his lip, lightly rubbing her back. "Oh? You'd want to?" he asked softly, biting his lip. "I'm sure she'd love you. She knows all about you..." he murmured, gently kissing her forehead.
“Oh, she does now, does she?” Eden asked, and this time it was her turn to be smug. She looked at him for a moment, raising an eyebrow, before rolling her eyes and smiling. “Then I want to meet her. You know, make sure I disappoint her before we get too far into this thing. Because I’m sure you’ve totally built me up in her head.” she said with a huff, raising an eyebrow at him playfully before rolling her eyes. “And don’t protest, I know for a fact that you have.”
And she was just about to reach up and kiss him, because it was cute that he did that, even though it was kind of frustrating all the same, but then she heard the door open and she sprung away from him, because as much as she wanted to tell the Councilman to go to h*ll, she couldn’t exactly do it now that she knew she’d be trying as hard as possible to see Avery again. She needed that man on her side. When she saw the girl, though, she raised an eyebrow, blushing a bit and taking Avery’s hand again. Because that had to be Bekah. “Hey….?”
—
Bekah finished feeding the goats, looking around for a second before deciding that Avery had enough time to f*Ck that girl of his- he didn’t exactly seem like the kind that would last too long and, besides, it was kinda cold outside. She didn’t want to wait any longer than she had to. So she took the bucket and unclipped her overalls so that she was walking inside in just a sports bra and the loose overalls, only pausing when she saw the girl next to Avery.
More to mess with the boy than anything- though the girl was hot, in a special kinda way- she let her eyes trail over her slowly, giving an appreciative murmur before playfully’ breaking’ herself away and looking at her, raising an eyebrow playfully./ “Oh, right. Hey. I’m Bekah. You should leave him and sleep with me instead. I bet I could show you a better time.” she announced, wide smirk across her face right off the bat. Because suddenly this match thing just because a whole lot of fun.
