• A tortoiseshell tomcat padded easily from the warriors' den. He swiftly picked up a small bird from the freshkill pile in one smooth action - as he stood back up, his amber eyes searched for a suitable eating partner. His gaze caught on Sandgaze, a pretty little brown tabby with the most lovely violet-tinted eyes. Bonfire gave a saucy grin, and padded right up to the warrior. "'Sup, cutie," he purred mildly, flopping down next to her. She didn't have the best shape, but she was still pretty. Bonfire's term of endearment wasn't anything serious - yet. The tomcat had a way of coming up with little pet names for all of his... buddies, official or not. It was just his way of getting to know them better. After all, they were all teammates, basically, being in the same Clan. Why shouldn't they learn to get along together better? That was the way that Bonfire rolled.

    But then again, Bonfire had been feeling awfully lonely lately, all by himself. Truthfully, to him, it would be kinda nice to settle down with a she-cat... Actually, never mind. Bonfire knew that he could never fully settle down with just one cat; he was the kind to have numerous brief flings. You could call him a bit of a flirt, honestly.

  • "Hello, handsome. What's up?" she asked. Bonfire usually didn't even notice her, let alone, speak to her. She thought he was handsome. But, she had heard of all his previous flings with other she-cats, but she might be the one to change all that. Even if she couldn't, they would probably still be friends.

    OCC: What Font Do You Use?

  • The tortoiseshell tomcat offered Sandgaze a wide grin at the use of the endearment. Oh, so she wanted to play the fire game, hey? "Nothin', just chatting up a beauty," he countered smoothly, leaning back and offering her a wink. Flirting was quite fun, really, and, if Bonfire was allowed to talk for himself, he was quite good at it. Besides, he kind of was. Anyway, Sandgaze was pretty - the question was, would she be pretty enough to keep Bonfire interested for long? The tomcat then continued, "So, you're Sandy, right?" He used the nickname on purpose - it sounded so much better than Sandgaze. And anyway, that was also the name of one of his previous dates. She had been awesome that night, really. In more ways than one.

    The tomcat looked down at his paws for a moment, deciding which of the many pick-up lines he had in his head were appropriate. When he decided on a few, he looked up again and flashed the she-cat a seductive smile. Gestures were everything.

  • Sandgaze rolled her eyes. "You'll call me Sandy one more time, and I'll either snap your neck or call you Bonnie. Your choice." she said, narrowing her firey violet eyes. What was he thinking, that he could play around with her? No way. She then gave the tiniest smile to Bonfire and continued "You'll have to be tested to be my mate, I'm afraid. Let's go out to hunt, to test that." she said, trying to trick him.

  • Bonfire's eyebrow raised. Okay, she was weird. He was just trying to talk to her and that was her reaction, honestly. Now she thought that he wanted to be her mate? Honestly, did she know nothing? But whatever, he would go along with it anyway. Li'l ol' Sandy here didn't look so innocent anymore. A bit touchy, honestly. He added in, "But y'know, you can't argue that Sandy doesn't sound good." But he dropped it then, deciding to call her Sandgaze. Why did she like the stupid name so much? Sand. Gaze? That didn't mean anything, seriously. And unlike 'sandy', 'bonnie' wasn't even a word. Plus, Sandy's name sounded actually female, and Bonnie was... not suitable for a male cat.

    However, he digressed. "'That a challenge, love?" he purred silkily - the tortoiseshell wanted to pass it with flying colours, plus a credit. Though he didn't really take this flighty gal seriously enough, he wanted to show her what he was made of. Awesomeness.

    ooc i'm so sorry, i forgot to reply. ; w ; the font i used in the first post was called tahoma~

  • Sandgaze grinned. "Of course it is!" she mewed, then padded to the camp entrance. "Now, come on, or are you too chicken?" she asked, narrowing her eyes again.
    OOC: BTW, I found a video that suits Sandgaze:

  • i padded out of the warriors den stretching my Lilith body then licking my sliver-blue fur my fiery red eyes watching the handsome bonfire talking to sandgaze what did he see in her didnt he see i loved him but it didnt matter,i padded to the fresh kill pile and grabbed a starling

  • The tomcat grinned jauntily. This was on! "I'm game," the tortoiseshell responded cockily, smirking. Bring. It. On. Suddenly he turned and looked at the other she-cat. Well, she was certainly quite pretty. When his lovely Sandgaze was looking the other way, he offered her a saucy wink. Maybe he should just ditch this one entirely. She was being a drrraaaggg, all with that dumb testing and stuff. If she were smart, she would have done the tests without telling him.

  • "Hey, Bonfire, come on, I'll race you." she mewed, turning back and seeing that he was looking at that other she-cat, her heart shattered, and she yowled and sped off.
    ~~~
    How could I have been so mouse-brained? she thought. He was so cute, but I fell right into his trap! she thought. She found her mouse that she had stashed under moss and ate it. If he was gonna be a jerk, she wasn't going to stand for it.
  • "'Kay," the tom responded instantly, and was about to race against her when Sandgaze ran off. He stared at her in his confusion. Dramatic much? Bonfire rolled his eyes and headed at a quick trot toward Sandgaze.
    ooc the tom only winked at the other she-cat, but it's okay. x ]
  • When she saw him, she asked him "What do you want now? " she spat.
    OOC: Yeah I Know, Plus, can you get him to apologize?
  • Bonfire hesitated, the tortoiseshell tom's amber eyes always staying glued toward Sandgaze's. "First of all, I'm sorry," Bonfire started out hesitantly, "Even if I'm not really sure what I'm being sorry for. But even though I don't know, I can guess that I did something wrong." Well, obviously! If he hadn't, Sandgaze wouldn't have run away from him. Maybe it was just because she was emotional? Or maybe just stupid. But Bonfire pushed that out of his head - experimentally, he took another step forth toward Sandgaze. He didn't know all that much about her, except she seemed to be quite a romantic soul that certainly appeared to be rather pretty. He just wanted to excuse himself. But seriously, he was itching for some action.
    But he knew that he had to slow down. He couldn't keep acting all flirty if he wanted to get into this gal's good books, no matter how hard that would be. The tortoiseshell tom could be very persistent if need be, and that was a fact proven many times over in the short cycle of his life. So, quite cordially, and retaining eye contact all the while, Bonfire asked, "Could you forgive me?" Seriously, though he hated the stupid cliches that were running through his head, Bonfire had to do it.
    ooc yup. (:
  • ooc: TY! :)
    ic: Sandgaze smiled. "Sure, I can." she gestured to the moss. "Make yourself a bed, and I'll catch prey for us!" she mewed, and stalked away.
  • The tom nodded, and Sandgaze padded away to hunt. Though it was rather strange to make a nest outside of the warriors' den, he was cool with it. It was kind of a cute 'strange', y'know? Besides, she looks rather made up for it. Carefully, Bonfire tried to mold the moss into a nest shape, narrowing his eyes in annoyance. He was no sculptor, and it was ridiculously hard to do. He hadn't made nests since he had been an apprentice, and so he was more than a little out of practice. But, nonetheless, he would do it. Hey, it was better to do the wishes of his little... 'friend'. He was almost certain that she would like him more while doing it. Almost. Certain.
    Finally, in the end, Bonfire managed to create two average-looking nests. He glared at the crudely-shaped moss, trying to pat it with his paws to make it look a little better. He didn't want to be the owner of these messy things! How did he manage to make nests? It was a complete mystery. Bonfire had a short-term memory, and wasn't the one to look for when you wanted to remember something. He couldn't remember how he made a nest at all.
    ooc no problem! (:
  • Sandgaze came back with four voles. "Did I mention that I'm one of the best hunters in the Clan?"
    she purred happily. She curled up in a nest. "Thanks for doing this, Bonfire. You know, I could have brought more, but the rest was all birds, and when I tried to catch any, I couldn't." she meowed.
  • The tomcat gave her an amused look as he curled up into one of the nests that he had constructed. "There is no 'best'," he countered, but quite softly. He didn't feel like taking any prey - his hunger was satiated, and it would be a couple of hours before he wanted to eat again. His eyes were beginning to droop from all of this contentment, however the tortoiseshell cat tried to force himself to stay awake. "And there is no worst." At the she-cat's apology, he allowed himself a soft purr. "It's okay, Sandgaze. You tried." Bonfire contented himself by staring at the beauty lying next to him - he was feeling slightly... delirious, maybe. But he was happy. Happier than he had been in a long time. It was almost like the feeling of eating catnip.
    The tom then shifted his gaze to look at the prey that his company had brought. It wasn't too bad. Only a very experienced warrior could catch four pieces of prey in one hunt. This gal must really be something. Heck, even his best was two pieces of prey, and that was with mice. After all, Bonfire preferred mice over voles, but he would eat mostly anything.
  • Sandgaze smiled, and yawned. "I'm tired, do you wanna take the prey back to camp and sleep, or do you want to sleep here?" she asked.
  • Before the she-cat asked her question, Bonfire yawned quietly and stretched out his legs, looking up at the sky. When she asked him, "I'm tired... do you want to take the prey back to camp and sleep, or do you want to sleep here?" Suddenly the tortoiseshell stood up and sashayed toward the she-cat, eyes glimmering in an alluring way. "Tell me, Sandgaze." Bonfire moved closer to his ... partner, retaining eye contact the entire time. "Did I pass the test? And do you like me or not?" This was all said in a very soft voice, and the tortoiseshell tomcat began to continue to move in closer, closer. He wanted to get to know this she-cat. He began to wonder about a few things. Was she good? Experienced, in... love? Or did she know absolutely nothing? Hmm.
