Samantha or Sam, as everyone called her, rolled her Rs quietly as she swung slowly on a tire swing. She was in the forest, the warm bright sun shining brilliantly through the trees' shield of pines. The rope was dusty and whenever she took her hand off it left red powder, since the metal at rusted in the rope. Her blond hair was swishing side to side and her pear white wings hung limply behind her.
Her boyfriend, Royal, was lying, his hands clasped behind his head, on the ground. It was soft yet prickly from all the dried pine needles. His deep blue eyes, the color of the ocean, sparkled as they gazed at the light blue sky. His black wings were spread out on each side. He glanced at Sam and smiled.
"Having fun?" he said barely above a whisper.
She looked over at him, a strand of her blond hair hung in front of her chocolate brown eyes. Her eyes met his and she smiled her white teeth. Her eyes said yes, but she in person couldn't say anything.
He looked back up at the sky.
"Perfect day," he murmured.
