It wasn't something that was often done, considering that the scent of twolegs could be found anywhere long before the twolegs could see the felines, long before they had a chance to actually get a creature from the moor. Though this was the case, it had been different for Quailwhisker. Those who knew the older warrior knew that he had a liking for the cave systems, liked to dig in them.

He was doing just that - digging - when there was a sudden vibration behind him and a twoleg kit scooped him up, hugging him close to her body and squishing his paws so that he couldn't claw her in retaliation, before giggling and running off.

    He was gone.

It was too late to have seen her clanmate being taken, and the twolegs had abandoned the area a while ago.

She shouldn't be this close to a twoleg area, and she knew it, but she had scented Quailwhisker, and was trying to follow it, as she hadn't seen the warrior in camp since he had left ages ago. She was a few steps into the tunnel he was digging, and then the scent practically disappeared. Where could he have gone? she wondered, backing out of the tunnel.

She started running back to camp, memorizing the route as she went, although she did hope to spot a clanmate on the way.
