    Like most nights, Leah was in the woods and standing in the bitter cold. She stood there shaking waiting for ther next guy. She had no clue who her dad was after next. But still she hated this, she hated having to risk her life most nights. Her father came up to her "Here..."He handed her a pn before getting into his van. His van being hidden away and sprayed so there wouldn't be a foul scent. Leah gently cursed as she struck herself with the pin to draw blood. To entice a vampire in more.

    Character: Donavin Miller Lopez couple hundred years old


    Donavin was walking through the woods to get to where he normally hunted until a scent on the breeze stopped him in his tracks. He slowly turned in a circle while sniffing the air and stopped once he knew which direction the smell was coming from. He climbed into a tree and began to jump from branch to branch quietly as the smell of blood grew stronger. He stopped once he saw a girl with a pricked finger, which is weird since no sane person would walk through a forest at night while bleeding. But that didn't matter since this would be an easy meal, so with that he whistled a small tune to attract the girls attention

    A sense of dread washed over her, damn that was quick. The whistling pricked her ears and she didnt feel fear at the sight of the stranger. She sat down and huddled, making her limbs as close as they can be so she would seem scared at least. All her 'training' was coming back "Ple-ease mister...im just lost.."she lied knowing her father wanted to confirm if the stranger was a vampire or not.

    He smiled as he circled the girl, she was scared just not of him. He wondered why but thought very little of it as he approached her"Don't worry child. It's okay, no ones going to hurt you"he lied"What are you doing out here by yourself"he asked stepping closer

    Leah faked a shiver as he got slightly closer she did her best to keep an eye on him and track his movements "um well...I was..running from these..strange men and then I lost them but I also got lost here.."she lied glad that she was ok at acting. She bit her lip as she watched him "..could you help me?"she asked but truth be told this wasn't her acting. She knew that she hated her world but she couldn't directly say it when her father and his friends were watching.

    This girl obviously knew what he was by the way she shivered but he would play along with her game, until he got hungry"Of course I will help you"he said. This wasn't a lie"Do you perhaps remember where you last saw these men"he asked closing the distance between them in a blink and resting a hand on her shoulder gently"I promise to never let them chase you again."

    Leah didn't flnch at his touch this time. Instead she hid her pricked finger so he wouldn't get hungry so soon as she felt more anicipation. She stared up into his eyes "They are right here"She whispered so only he could hear "My fathers crossbow is lined up to the bak of your head right now..be careful and quick.."She didn't know why she was helping him. Mainly because he wasn't as savage as the other vampires, he hadn't imediatly tried to tear her to shreads.

    "Just don't hate me for this"he said as he pulled her close and let his fangs extend to act like he was going to bit her. But when he heard the thrum of the crossbow he turned around and caught the bolt and dashed up to her father sinking his fangs into the mans neck drinking enough to knock him out but not kill him. After he dropped the man he grabbed the girl who helped him and cradled her head in his hand as he ran full speed to his home

    Everything happened so fast and she was in shock as she watched everything almost in slow motion as she soon clung to him as she knew he had done this. She didn't know what she would do now since she had nothing else but the hunters and she sure wasn't going back. "Thank you..I'm Leah"she said quietly before knowing they were safe,she set her feet on the ground with a shaky breath and ran a hand through her hair.

    He smiled "My name is Donavin"he said as he tucked a stray hair behind her before pulling his hand back and clearing his throat"I'll draw you a bath and prepare a room for you. After that I'll have dinner ready as well since I'm pretty sure you are hungry"he said as he heard her stomach growl

    Leah looked at him in disbelief "Oh..really your going to do that for me?"She hadn't really met someone so kind. Bak a the guild she had to fend for herself and hunt food for herself. But she was blushing slighly from the hair being tucked behind her ear. She followed him inside "All that waiting and running worked up my appetite..Thank you for letting me stay here tonight Donavin, I will get out of your hair as soon as I can.."She wasn't sure how long she could stay here for free. Better to not be a burden.She followed him inside

    As he led her up to the bathroom he chuckled"I did say I wouldn't let anyone chase you anymore. And that's in anyway possible. So I'm responsible for you now. And I'm obligated to provide for you as much"he said as he walked into the bathroom, rolled up his sleeves and started to draw a bath with luke warm water

    Leah seemed to be high from all this, the care the kindess. She couldn't help but quickly hug hm before pulling away and blushng "Again..thank you so much.."She said as she fiddled with her fingers. She wasn't sure what to do for the next few days but was lucky to be looked after.

    He finished drawing her a bath and stood up"I don't have any clothes for you here so you can borrow a pair of my boxers and a shirt if mine, since I'm 6'4 it should be long enough"he said as he left the room and came back with the pairs of clothing and set them on the counter"Your room is two doors down from this one and the kitchen is downstairs, take as long as you need"he said as he walked out of the bathroom and closed the door to go cook her food

    Leah nodded as she watched him leave, she ten stripped down and carefully got in the bath and sighed in delight. She was still head over heels for this vampire and his strange kindness. It went against everything she believed, but she was glad she was being proved wrong. After half an hour she got out and changed, his shirt being comfortable as hell, she was a little self concious of her legs. Mostly because they held scars from training and punishments. Once she was decent she walked out and looked around the house before going down to the kitchen.

    He was in the kitchen and had just put a steak on the table and looked up at her"You are out sooner than I expected. I thought you would have soaked for an hour or so." He pulled her chair out for her and then looked at her legs he started to looked worried but then grew angry"Who would do such a thing"he wondered aloud

    Leah shook her head as she sat down "no, i dont need so long..it was really nice. Normally i have 5 minutes in a shower.."she trailed off watching him. When he noticed she sighed "it was just training..and when i did something wrong..father had to do so."she said like it was normal. She was still overwhelmed by everything. "im really surprised by how kind you are Donavin.."she said honestly.

    He chuckled"You and me both. Holding ontoy sanity this long has been a challenge without a purpose. But now I have one so I can relax for the first time in 700 years"he said averting his eyes and clearing his throat

    Leah blinked "..am i your purpose?.."she asked in disbelief as she stayed in shock. She suddenly blushed and looked down at her hands, the scent of his shirt making her feel safe and warm. She stretched her toes before tucking into dinner to change the conversation "you cook human food well.."
