    [size=28pt]Ambrose Velafi [color=hotpink]☽
    [size=6pt][color=white]759 WORDS[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:450px][hr][justify][color=black][font=andale mono][size=8]They'd probably been walking for at least a solid hour, enough to where daylight had finally begun to break. They'd left early, mostly to avoid the larger number of people coming into town as the sun came up. The warlock didn't mind in the slightest, after all, he preferred the dark to the brilliance of sunlight anyway. Ambrose had been keeping step with his new "partner" for the most part, maybe just a bit more out of breath than he was letting on. Sure, most of his time was spent wandering around various forests and up old paths in search of the next shady job, but he was used to doing all of that at his own pace. And his usual pace was akin to a meandering cow, looking for a nice new patch of grass to settle on. The brisk walking pace of the man he'd been paired with for this mission was something the thin blonde was not used to in the slightest. But alas, sometimes there had to be sacrifices for the sake of a bit of adventure.

    His blue eyes scanned their surroundings, quietly pondering the job that they'd been assigned, more specifically his traveling companion. He usually worked alone, mostly for the safety of the people he'd be working for since his magic usually was a bit... over-the-top, as some would say. Okay... maybe more than just some but Ambrose wasn't going to focus on those inconsequential little details. After all, what did it matter -- he was still alive after all. Not that many on the other side of his spells usually came out of it completely unscathed. Despite these concerns floating around somewhere in the back of his mind, the adventure was too interesting an opportunity to pass up. Oh, and the money was quite good too so there was that.

    The warlock sighed to himself, drawing his dark cloak up a bit before he properly caught up with the expressionless man, sensing the man's annoyance as he neared. Ambrose was wearing stuff that was quite typical of him. He was wearing a dark purple button-down, dark enough to not really be able to identify the color without close examination. His pants, however, were solid black, matching the boots he was wearing so closely that it was hard to tell where the boots ended and the pants began. And of course, there was his cloak. While partially for warmth, with the man's general demeanor it was easy to identify it was more for show than anything else. It was black on the outside, with a magenta lining, the same color as most of his spells that didn't involve summoning creatures to serve him from the abyss. It was rather clear style and appearance was something rather important to the adventurer, despite the messiness of his occupation.

    Casually flicking some of his blonde hair from his face, he looked directly at the man walking beside him, his arms folded across his chest as he walked beside him. He was mildly annoyed with him, mostly just on the principle of the thing. Why did he have to walk so fast? It probably wasn't actually that fast for a normal person, but Ambrose was painfully out of shape when it came to actual movement. He spoke, breaking the silence that had only lasted 2 or 3 minutes at most, "So... what events lead you getting tangled up in Onaeroa's politics? Because they usually don't hire outsiders unless they're trying to send them to their death or something, or if they grudgingly think there's no one else better for the job," he inquired, pausing before adding, "Stubborn group those Onaeroan... one of these days someone needs to cheer them up."

    It was rather clear from his tone that it probably meant throwing handful of glitter at the next Onaeroan he saw. Some speckled of glitter still clung to his cloak and boots from the last time he attempted to cheer someone up with glitter. It was after all one of the spells he was best at. Just isolate some of the sparks that flickered in the pits of hell, and solidify them. Add the suffix -le to the end of it, and you've got some quality, lead-free, hellfire sparkles. While Ambrose found it the most beautiful thing on the planet, very few shared his vision. After all, sparkles from hell were more commonly known as "glitter," the substance that you can never get rid of no matter how hard you try. Fun for the whole family.
