— I'd talk about earlier history, but it's all a blur; taking contracts all over the world, some human and some not, killing and saving and doing whatever was asked of him. Adventuring in jungles, standing at the sides of nobles and pouring them tea. Defending tiger cubs in the form of a bear, attending to aristocratic birds. Whatever is needed, he does. And at the end, when the main goal is fulfilled, he devours his master's soul and moves on.
— I need to explain ends for some characters, so.. Bonescuffle? He summoned the demon due to his work with the occult and black magic, and he wanted to find the men who'd harmed him as a child. The demon took the form of a black eagle for this task, under the name of Alastair. It was a decent journey, constantly sidetracked by other things and Bone's persistent apparent narcolepsy, but after a myriad of adventures, they found themselves chancing upon the humans that had hurt Bone so, and the then-named Alastair finished them off, only for him to turn and devour Bone's soul moments later.
— Artificer? Never really played, but. The demon took the form of a black fossa, using the alias Lael (Artificer found it amusing, supposedly). Artificer wanted to secure his family birthplace and all the missing heirlooms, so off Lael went, at Artificer's side, securing first the great mansion and then the heirlooms. In a city settling, a great metropolis of animals, they struggled through a seedy underworld, discovering a multitude of "illegal" trades and unpleasant businesspeople, but inevitably did succeed. it was ensured that Artificer's family could reclaim his birthplace and the heirlooms, and then his soul was swallowed. Set before Bone, most likely.
