  • Oh, I’m sure he’d f*Cking love to see me get my *ss handed to me. Especially by you.” Solomon agreed a moment later, looking at her eyes for a moment with a smirk before his gaze flickered back down to her hips. Try as he may not to look, nothing worked, and he eventually just gave in to staring at the pale skin, at least every few seconds, wondering what it’d feel like under his hand, what it would taste like on his lips, what it’d look like wrapped around his- Woah, woah. Slow the F*CK down. What? he thought, finally catching himself, his pupils blown open in lust. Thank the f*cking gods its dark outside… he thought, though he still had a feeling that she’d know. She somehow always knew.

“But that’s not going to happen.” he breathed after a second, reaching out after a moment to catch her waist and pull her towards him, pretending at teasing, though at this point he really was just entire unable to keep his hands to himself. He had to feel that skin. So when his thumb brushed against her hip, he bit his lip, looking down at the spot for a second before looking back at her and smirking slightly. “Because I am really, really,” he purred, letting the words fall off his lips as he rolled his tongue, looking at her for another moment before finally finishing his thought, clearly quite smug. “Really f*cking good at fighting.” Among other things…

“And, trust me, darling? I’d be able to find a way to fill up two whole days. H*ll, within hours I’d have you on your hands and knees.” he purred before pulling away from her and signing around to the opposite side of the bucket, looking over his shoulder a second later and smirking. “Swabbing the deck, of course. Get your head out of the gutter, princess. H*rny doesn’t look all that feminine, even on your pretty face.’ he finished with a teasing grin, wishing he could see her, see if she really was h*rny as he’d accused. Because he knew he definitely was. But not because of her… he stubbornly refused.

ooc: oh my god I am SO sorry. I was so busy at Disney and then I got home and I totally forgot about this :( I'm sorry!

  • Jax snorted with amusement at his statement, loving the idea of being able to whoop Solomon's a*s with ease, the thought of seeing the look of defeat on his face would make it an even sweeter victory. A tiny smirk tugged at her lips as she saw his gaze going to her bare hips, purposely shifting her weight and letting her thumbs hang on the pants just a tad bit heavier to tease him further. She couldn't see his eyes, but judging by the look on his face, he was more than entranced by the skin showing.

Jax's eyes widened as she was suddenly pulled into him by his hands, swallowing thickly as she felt his thumb on her waist, goosebumps rippling over her skin. Her eyebrow rose as he trailed off before continuing his sentence, rolling her eyes before moving away as he let her go. Her cheeks were a faint pink as she crossed her arms back over her chest, but the smirk never left. "Don't think I'll lose that easily to you, Solomon. I do need my revenge for my shoulder, ya know." Jax teased lightly, staying close just to bother him, not bothering to tug her pants back up.

She scoffed as he spoke of her on her hands and knees, shaking her head as he told her to get her head out of the gutter and could only grin before moving closer. And closer. "Me? H*rny? I think your friend here is more excited than I'll ever be around you." Jax grinned as she leaned close to him, letting her hands slide around his waist slowly, her fingers slipping underneath his pantline for a moment to slide over his hipbones before she pulled away suddenly. "I guess I should I get some rest. Need to be ready for practice tomorrow." Jax smirked as she swung herself over the bucket onto the ladder, climbing down it fairly quickly to escape.

OOC: No worries! I totally understand about being busy ^^

  • As much as Solomon would have loved to say that he had pulled away when she slipped her finger on the inside of his waistband, he didn’t. In fact, he may have leaned in just the tiniest bit closer, his head nearing hers, his entire body getting ready to take her then and there, morals be d*mned. But then she was saving him from himself and she’d dashed off and, as f*cking awful and frustrating as it was, he was relieved all the same. Because he really was about to kiss her, and that would have been a mistake upon mistakes. What. The. F*ck. Are. You. Doing?! he thought, berating himself before remembering that she was leaving and leaning over the bannister, watching her walk off for a moment before snorting.

“I’ll let Dante know that he can go extra hard on you tomorrow. After all, you’re going to have a full night of sleep behind you!” he called, and then she was gone, and he was left standing there for a second before he slipped off of the platform and back onto the deck, walking back towards his cabin with maybe a slight discomfort in his pants. Not that he’d ever admit that to anyone, especially to the entitled, bratty, pretty warrior-princess who’d caused it. F*cking tease… he thought with a wide smirk, surveying the deck one last time before shutting the door to his cabin and slipping off to sleep aw well.

ooc: skip to the next day?

  • OOC: Sure! And I'm so sorry for the late reply, I've been super busy and exhausted these past few days >< And sure, let's skip to the next day!

Jax felt her heart suddenly jump in her chest and her entire body tense as soon as she teased him with his waistband, feeling as if he had gotten oh so much closer to her, as if he were going to kiss her. Kiss me? He wouldn't.She made herself pull away at the last second, her brows furrowing for a moment as she climbed down the ladder onto the deck of the ship. She stuck her tongue out at him playfully as she heard him call out, hurrying to her little cell that she called home now.

Jax shut the cell door behind her as she stepped inside, letting out a heavy breath as her cheeks flushed a deep red as she went over what had just happened. She shook her head, running her fingers through her messy hair as she sat down in her hammock, her mind whirling. What the hell were we doing up there? Was it just me or...I felt like he wasn't really joking about a couple things... Maybe it's just me. Jax grumbled to herself as she curled up in the hammock, letting the now familiar rocking of the ship lull her into a deep sleep.

  • “Girlie!” Dante called the next morning, lumbering across the deck and over to the holding cells, which was still sort of depressingly her cabin, though he had a massive smile across his face the whole time, because, of all things, he was a morning person. He grinned and stomped on the deck a few more times, giving her a good warning of a wakeup before banging on the door, refusing to go inside without her permission, because that would be invading her privacy, and she was both a girl and a princess, and he liked to think that he had at least some manners. For a pirate, at least.

Only when he heard shuffling around did he finally open the door a bit, lumbering through the doorway that was a bit too small for him, so he had to go in sideway and keep his head ducked the whole time, though it didn’t even bother him- he was used to it by now, and nothing could ruin his good mood at the beautiful morning. So, with his head stuffed next to his neck, his eyes squeezed shut, he muttered, “Princess, y’better wake up. I heard from ‘is ‘Ighness that ye was gonna fight ‘im, that ye’d even wagered about it. I want’cha t’win.” he explained, hoping that she was dressed. Praying that she was dressed, honestly, because he was pretty sure Solomon would throw him overboard if she wasn’t, even if he wasn’t looking.

ooc: oh my god I totally forgot about this because my other rp partner went back to school and she hasn't been active so i just forgot that I had another thread... i'm so sorry i'm the worst.

  • OOC: Okay well now it's my turn to apologize >< I got really busy with work and I got sick so I had to focus on that instead of this site. I missed this thread so much!

Jax had been sleeping peacefully until the thundering footsteps of none other than Dante woke her from her sleep, grumbling quietly as she buried her face into her pillow since she was exhausted still. She let out a noisy groan before sitting up and pushing her messy hair back from her face, running her fingers through it quickly before she tossed it up into a ponytail for the time being. Jax had to stifle a snort when she saw how uncomfortable Dante was with how he was crammed in the cabin, a little smile crossing her lips before she rose to her feet.

"Give me a moment to get into the proper attire, and then I'll be right out. And don't you dare go easy on me, Dante. No matter what I say." Jax said sternly, playfully prodding the gentle giant in his side to get him to head out so she could slip out of her nightwear. "If I'm going to be practicing, we both need to have a good breakfast first too." She suggested lightly as she nudged Dante out of the cabin and shut the door, shaking her head though she bounced back down the steps to slide out of her nightwear and into her normal clothes.

  • oh my god I am actually the worst. I'll respond to this tomorrow (it's off to bed for me now).

But I saw this a MONTH AGO and then I was so excited and I read it and I totally forgot. I'm so sorry.

  • “Oi, come on, Princess. I ain’t gunna kick your *rse on our first day’v fightin’…” Dante grumbled, looking at the girl for a moment before feeling the door shut in his face and giving a little groan, though he had a smile across his face all the same. Because of course the girl would want to go one hundred percent the absolute first moment of training. Wasn’t that what got her into this mess in the first place? Her trying her absolutely hardest to beat the captain when all she had to really do was just submit to him when they had finally captured her? Not that I’d’ve liked her to. Dante thought with a smug smirk as he leaned back against the wall of the little cabin, closing his eyes and allowing the boat to just rock him as he waited for the girl. I like ‘er just like this.

He finally opened his eyes when he heard the princess slipping out of the room, a little smile stretching across his face as he caught her fist, letting out a surprised little grunt as he did, because even though he’d anticipated her surprise attack, he hadn’t realized how strong she’d gotten since working on the boat. “You’ve gotten stronger, missy.” he announced after a second, a wide, proud smile across his face as he looked at her for a second before smiling even more and dropping her hand, lumbering over to the other side of the deck once he did. He bent over and grabbed two wooden rods, turning around with an almost boyish grin across his face as he did, delight obvious in his eyes as he started talking about their fight for the day. “We’re startin’ y’with sticks. I can’t ‘urt ye too bad, y’can’t ‘urt me.” he said with a smile before smirking. “And we can teach y’ what you need to know to beat ‘is ‘ighness."

  • OOC: So sorry for the late reply! I was visiting family for a week or so, so I never got time to reply properly.

Jax gave a little pout as Dante said they wouldn't be fighting at full strength the first time but she knew it would be better to start off slow. She missed sparring, more than excited to train some more and finally beat Solomon in battle. She slipped out of her nightwear into loose pants and a loose shirt, so she would be able to move around easily. Jax cleared her throat as she smoothed her hair back from her face before she stepped out of the cabin, a playful grin crossing her lips as she attempted to surprise attack Dante, feeling a bit of glee when he grunted from catching her quick fist.

"You can actually thank Solly for that. I like working on the ship." Jax shrugged as she followed him across the ship, raising an eyebrow as he grasped the two wooden sticks. They would leave good bruises on both of them, a good way to teach her without anyone really getting hurt."I'm sure he'll be quite upset once I've beaten him... I can just imagine him sulking for days on end." Jax snorted with amusement as she held her hand out for the stick, a little smirk on her lips.

  • “Y’know, I think yer th’only one who’d ever be able t’ call ‘is ‘ighness that and not be killed.” Dante responded with a little laugh when he heard the girl’s nickname for the captain, the literal king of multiple islands, a smile settling across his face. “Most of th’men even call ‘im Captain behind ‘is back. Y’don’t seem to have a probl’m with baitin’ ‘im though, do yeh?” he asked with another little chuckle, the last part more to himself as the thought of the two incredibly oblivious royals on the ship. Morons don’t even know that they like each other… he thought with a glee that was on the surface quite out of character, but was incredibly predictable once you realized that he was one of the biggest gossips of the whole ship.

When he looked over at the princess and saw her confused look, though, he coughed into his hand and gave a gruff little nod before handing her one of the poles. “Right. First let m’ teach you some of the holds and jabs, right? And then y’can try and attack me. But y’have to listen, girlie. Because otherwise yer form will b’sloppy.” he said, giving her a warning look at that last bit, because the entire ship knew that Jax wasn’t much of a “listening to directions” kind of person. When it seemedl ike she got the memo- or at least was anxious enough for him to start that she gave a nod- he grinned and relaxed onto the deck of the ship, holding the pole out in front of him. “Right. So the first hold is like this, girlie. Fingers up, thumb down. Strong grip, protects y’hands.”

  • Jax snickered at the thought of getting the other shipmates to call Solomon her little nickname just for fun, though she knew he would end up beating their butts back into shape. Well... not unless she got everyone to do it. A grin crossed her face at the thought, though she soon focused back on Dante with a raised eyebrow. "Baiting him is rather bold to say.. More pushing him to the limits.. See what he'll end up doing." She snorted softly with amusement, shifting her weight as she took the pole.

A pale pink spread across her cheeks as she saw the glare Dante sent her after he spoke, a cheeky grin crossing her lips as she knew she had been rather stubborn with some of the men and especially Solomon. Her brow furrowed as she glanced at his hold on the pole, copying it to the best of her ability until she finally understood how to hold it properly. It felt comfortable, making her glance up at Dante to see if she was holding it right.

  • Dante continued to teach this way, showing her a hold and, once he realized how quickly and well she could mimic what he was doing, he’d just keep holding it until she finally got it right. Of course he knew she was smart, but when they’d blown through nearly everything before the sun had even burned through the fog around the ship, he gave a little huff and set his pole down, looking at her with a proud smile, and a little bit of a challenging smirk, across his face.

“Y’ really want to fight ‘im, don’tche?” he asked with a snort, looking at Jax as her brown furled up in concentration as she repeated for the third time in the row the move he’d just shown her, even though she’d gotten it right on her last repetition. “Y’know that y’ don’t have to race to do it, right?” he added, though he knew that wasn’t what was happening. Or that at least she wasn’t killing herself over all these holds because she felt she had a timeline- she just really wanted to fight Solomon that badly. Love… he thought, amused, before looking at her and grinning. “Tired yet?”

  • Jax did her best to focus on what Dante was showing her, her brow never easing from the furrow it was in as she practiced the moves over and over until she was sure she had gotten them down. Even then, she still was pushing herself to memorize them and get used to the new techniques. When she finally tore her eyes away from the pole and her hands, as well as Dante's face, she realized that it was nearly morning and the sun was rising higher in the sky.

"Of course I want to fight him. I do have to prove myself at some point, don't I?" Jax said simply with a tiny shrug, pressing her lips together at his second question and glanced away for a moment. "More hungry than tired." She replied with a cheeky grin, her stomach rumbling loudly as if to agree. She twirled the pole in her hand before resting it on the deck, not wanting to mention that her shoulder was starting to ache, since she wanted to practice as much as possible.

  • “Y’still think y’need t’prove y’self?” Dante asked, confusion and the tiniest bit of concern in his voice, because how did she not know? How did she not know that every single person on the boat- besides the king, of course, though eh was a different story- had practically adopted her into their family? How did she not know that the men had had actual conversations where they discussed how willing they were to die for this girl once they realized that they genuinely cared about her well-being? “Girlie, the entire ship loves ye. If y’d want to o’rthrow ‘is ‘ighness, I bet y’could. The men ‘ere would follow y’te the ends of t’earth.” he finished with a little smile, though he set his pole down as well, moving towards the kitchen with a toothless-grin slipping across his face when he heard her stomach.

“And y’don’t just have to suffer, Princess. I’m hungry. I’m always hungry. Y’don’t have to convince me that it’s time to eat…” he finished with a laugh, lumbering over to the kitchen, ignoring the few boos he got from the men on deck as he pushed open the kitchen door. “Aye, shut y’traps. Y’d be LUCKY fer me t’cook for ye!’ he called out to them with a laugh before turning around and holding the door open for the girl, inviting her for a break into what he was pretty sure had turned into her little safe haven. “Spoiled brats. All f’em. Yer cookin’ has made them whiny.” he announced with a laugh, though he was clearly teasing as he looked ver her with affection in his eyes.

ooh: I’m so sorry that I didn’t respond. I’m the worst :( life got in the way, you know? I know I say this every time but I promise I’ll be better! I have this terrible habit of reading the new posts when they posted and when I can’t respond, and then absolutely forgetting about them.

  • Jax glanced at Dante as he spoke, her brow pinching together for a moment. Of course she needed to prove herself. More to herself than anyone else, but also to prove to Solomon that she would never be useless. Her throat swelled with emotion as he spoke of the men willing to die for her, dropping her head as she swallowed thickly, taking a small breath. Never had she meant so much to a single person, and now a whole crew loved her to bits. It was better than any life she had ever imagined back at the castle.

Jax's mood lightened and she let out a soft laugh of her own as she heard the men groaning about the ship as they heard Dante, giving them a cheeky grin before she disappeared into the kitchen. "Ah well I had the best teachers. And I enjoy it, so that might make the food taste better." Jax said with a light smile as she glanced over at him, nudging him in the side playfully. "Of course, I could always teach you as well, so that the men will stop whining." She snickered lightly with relief and content glimmering in her eyes, her shoulders relaxing a bit. The soft pink on her cheeks from the exertion made her look that much happier as she turned to find something quick to cook for the men, her fingers already twitching at her sides.

OOC: No worries, I totally understand! The same thing happens to me, and I get busy with work, and then I'm too tired to respond properly.

  • “Teach me?” Dante asked, looking at her for a moment before snorting and shaking his head. “Nah, girlie. Y’don’t want me in y’kitchen. These fingers don’t do n’thin but git in th’way.” he said, giving his hand a playful wave, wiggling his thick- and quite scarred- fingers at her before shaking his head again and leaning against the door, just watching with a sort of defeated pride as she moved so happily around the kitchen, clearly so relaxed. Because she’d found ah one here on this ship and for that he was proud. He really felt close to her, and he was glad she was happy. He just wished she didn’t need a safe haven, that she could feel safe anywhere on the ship.

“Besides. If I learnt t’cook, then who’d keep t’men from gettin’ spoil’d and fat on all t’good food? I can’t have them gettin’ used to yer five-star treatment. We’re soldiers. They should h’ve t’suffer a pinch.” he finished with a teasing smile over at her before smirking and patting on his belly. “Although none of that applies t’me, y’hear? I expect good food from ye, young lady.” he finished, though his smile was teasing and easygoing, and he was clearly just messing with the girl, not even bothering to pretend like he was serious. "I want t'be big 'n fat by the time I get off this here boat."
