To keep such a big secret. But.. it was for the best. Nobody could know about it. They can't. It was for the better this way. She didn't want to tell them. They'd never look at her the same way. All they'd see was a girl that deserved to be put in an asylum, even though what she said was the truth. They'd think she was a psycho. Maybe even they'd exile her for their doubt of her sanity. She grunted they'd never look at her the same. She didn't want pity, she didn't want attention, she... just wanted to tell somebody, tell them the secret she had kept for so long. She wanted empathy. Not sympathy. Empathy. She wanted for somebody to understand her internal struggle from the stress, the worry, and the axiety that came from her secret.
But she'd never tell anybody. She couldn't. But somebody would find out. It would happen eventually. But.. not now.
    That's what she thought.
Luyu blinked, sighing as she walked through the forest that took up a small part of Windclan's territory. She sniffed the air, pausing. Something wasn't right. She flicked her ears forward, looking around, but when she saw them, it was too late.
    [b] BANG!

A searing pain tore through her flank. She choked on her own spit, whether it be from shock or from pain, that was unknown to Luyu herself. She felt blood drip from the hole in her flank as she collapsed. She loudly barked to call for help, but nearly nobody was around. That didn't stop her from trying. Pink feathers were scattered about from her wings' rapid flapping to try and get away.
LUYU!!!! Oh my gosh... you're bleeding!! There's blood.. everywhere.. Luyu listen to me, you're going to be alright! I know you will be! You're smart, you'll get us out of here somehow! You have to!
She heard footsteps, and called out once more. She was promptly kicked in the side. She looked up to see two male humans.. with those flamesticks. She felt tears well up in her eyes as one of them pointed a stick at her head as she heard a clicking noise. Crimson cascaded down her leg as she laid there, crying her eyes out. This was the end, and she knew it.
Libra.. I'm not going to make it out of this..
No, Luyu! Don't talk like that! We'll be alright!! Don't do this to me! Don't leave me here..!
Libra, I want you to know, that you're one of the best friends I could possibly ask for. You've always been so kind to me, making me smile, and giving me comfort. You'll finally be free from my body.. and you'll finally take your place among the stars, like the horoscope and constellation you should be..

She didn't give the spirit a chance to reply as she spoke once more, this time, vocally. She knew these humans wouldn't understand her, but she just felt better telling somebody..
" Do it.. kill me, please. Make it end. I'm tired of hiding things from everybody. Libra will finally be free. He'll go back to where he deserves to be, not with me. I want him to be happy. I want to be happy. So, do it.. please." She murmured, awaiting the moment the man would pull the trigger and end it all.[/fancypost]

The abrupt 'bang' that shattered the tranquility of the air, was brisk in quickening his pace. His aureate orbs narrowed, as alarmed thoughts whirred in his skull, bringing it to throb, as he listened to the heavy clank of his artificial limb against the ground beneath him, coupled with brisker, lighter steps.

The collie would skid to the halt at the sound of Luyu's voice, cleaving the tense air, begging for death. He sucked in a breath, as his aureate orbs settled on the two human males. He didn't wish to interact with them - there was a far larger chance of them amplifying in numbers, if they found out that there were various animals living here at once. However, there was no real.. choice in question, here. Luyu was going to be slaughtered, and Cherviltea wasn't waiting to see that happen.

Maybe, they'd regard him as nothing more than a rabid dog.. Something that could've gotten loose from the grips of a nearby farmer, not too far off. Such would be the case if they didn't catch a glimpse of his artificial leg, surely, but even then.. There were bound to be doubts.. There were bound to be doubts. He could have barked, and led them away, but he knew by now that the pelt of a fox was far more captivating to the human species, than that of a stray sheepdog.

He wasn't going to spend any more time contemplating this, and assessing the situation - instead, the canine lurched forwards, attempting to fasten his jaws briefly around the arm of the man holding the gun, to shift their aim from the vixen.

She was wary of conflict and in a case like this it would be better to run and get more help, but she would ultimately be glad she ran towards the danger. There was no time to run back to camp.

She had never doubted Cherviltea's bravery. She saw him, jaws around the man wielding the weapon known to rip through flesh. She was scared but she had to help. There was not really an option here. She ran forward and jumped, claws digging into flesh of the same man that Cherviltea was fighting. Under the dual onslaught, she hoped the man might just evacuate the area though she was a bit doubtful. What if one of them got shot again?

Luyu laid there, and closed her eyes, awaiting the bang of the gun to be the last thing that she would ever hear. She laid there, accepting that this would be the place she'd die. But, the sound never came. She heard the shouts and hollering of the men, which opened her sea green eyes. She was shocked to see Cherviltea grabbing the man's arm, making him drop the gun. The two men weren't exactly expecting a dog and a cat to attack one of them, to say the least. The man cried out in pain as Cherviltea dug his teeth into his arm, drawing crimson from his wound. He grit his teeth in anger, and attempted to shake Chervil off his arm. The man was obviously angry he wasnt going to get what he wanted, a dead fox with wings to stuff and put in his house. Then a cat dug her claws into his back. He could deal with that easily, so he attempted to reach behind his back and grasp Willow, before throwing her away from him. The other man, was so shocked, that he screamed and ran away In fright, fleeing the scene. These men weren't supposed to be hunting. They were illegal poachers, and weren't supposed to be there in the first place. Luyu sat there in shock, before attempting to get to her feet, but ended up falling down once more, a rock digging painfully into her wound, as she shifted away from it, barely abe to move. Her mind started to grow fuzzy, and her vision started to become slightly blurry as she was losing even more blood each minute.[/fancypost]

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 400px;][justify][size=8]Well, foxes with wings weren't all that common-- even Saigoncub knew that. It was no surprise that they'd want to kill her and turn her into a trophy. A loud bang ripped through the moor's silence like tearing a sheet of pristine paper, and he scrambled up from his spot in shock. The cub tried to peer over the tall grass, only mildly worried, but still curious as to what happened. He bounded towards the sound, trying use the big ears that he'd been given and put them to good use.

He skidded to a halt, out of breath already, but just in time to witness the scene. Two shapes, one fleeing, one fighting, looming over them all. He'd heard enough about them to know what they were: humans. But weren't humans supposed to be good? Vast technology, no powers, but they could harness any element they wished through the power of science. But there were always two sides to a coin, right? He stared in shock as the lone man stayed, fighting off two wild animals. He couldn't do anything, could he? He was too young, too weak. He decided to crawl over to the fox, who seemed to be dying.

He held his breath, standing over her with clear disgust in his eyes. Nonono, he didn't want to breathe in the horrid stench of blood, but it was too late. Saigoncub shook his head and simply stared at her, at a loss for words. My, what a waterfall of blood. It was a red river to behold, pouring out of her side. "...H-Help?" he hoarsely called, extremely nervous now that he got the chance to take in what he was seeing. He couldn't understand the gravity of the wound, or how much pain she was suffering, but it seemed to be a lot.

For a moment, she almost wanted to lay there and claim incapacitation. Her back hurt but Cherviltea was still in the fray and she was not going to leave him. She was also not going leave Luyu and Saigoncub in danger. The one had already run off and it gave her hope. Maybe the other would as well.

This guy was going to kill her, she did not really have any doubt. Well, it was a good way to go she guessed. She went running, jumping onto Cherviltea's back and using that as leverage to once again dig her claws into the human. This time, she went for his eyes. It was going to suck when he threw her off this time.
