  • OOC: aaaaa forgot to post until now ::)

    IC:
Scarlet padded out from the den, and sat near the back of the group, her eyes on their leader. Did this have anything to do with him and Thistle? She had seen them talking yesterday. Nah, probably not. Then what was it? Surely it had nothing to with her. Hopefully those mouse-brained Willowclan cats weren't on their border or something.

Orchid bounded over to Pepper and sat down next to her. Pepper was the only here that she truly trusted. "This doesn't have anything to do with us sneaking out, does it?" She hissed, a horrible thought entered her mind. What if he did catch them, and turned them into prisoners or he banished them? Or even worse, kill, them? She doubt it would be that extreme. Calm down! He didn't catch you! It is probably totally unrelated, chill! she told herself, but she was still nervous.

  • Pepper's ears perked when she heard the younger cat speak, her head lowering so Orchid could hear her "Probably not, but let's not talk about that right now" She whispered back. Her head raising back up, the fear in her eyes was starting to sparkle. She could sense how Orchid was scared as well, but it was a normal reaction with the younger cats here, so she didn't have to worry about the older cats being suspicious.

  • Even though she was only slightly reassured, Orchid decided to drop the matter for now. "Okay," she whispered, her voice shaking only a bit. Silhouette, who was on her other side, only glanced at her before turning his attention back to Badger.

OOC: I'll be back tomorrow, I'm going to bed now.

//Ugh, sorry for not posting, like at all. It's mostly because I've been busy with soccer practice, but also because no one's been doing anything with Ferret and in not so sure where to go with Viper. If someone could do something with Ferret, preferable Silhouette, that would be great.

  • Silhouette was sitting near the back of the gathering of cats during the meeting. He honestly didn't care about what Badger had to say, anyway. He probably just had another mission, which he was never invited to anyway. He slunk away, towards the prisoners den. Yes, he was going to see Ferret again. He didn't know why, but he couldn't stop thinking about her. He reach the entrance and looked around. No one had seen him. He slipped inside the den, only then realizing he should have brought her a mouse or something. Maybe he could sneak one over tonight. "Ferret?" He called softly. He hoped that he could at least bring her some company for a little while.

    OOC: welcome back, lyn!

Ferret's soft-furred ears flicked up at the sound of a cat's voice. Her greenish-brown eyes flicking open, she turned to look over her shoulder, her small body curled into a ball showing that she had been asleep not to long ago. Her gaze was immediately a bit fearful. She voice in the gang of cats had begun to sound the same to her, so she had to look at the cat before she could confirm it was Silhoutette.
Letting most of the fear leave her eyes, Ferret uncurled herself, her soft kitten-like fur sticking out in multiple places. Her body was tense from the continuous draft of the prisoner's den that she had come accustom to. Pushing herself up onto white-toed forepaws, she wrapped her tail loosely around her socked back legs, hating the feeling of the drafty air against the delicate skin. Trying to gnote the shaking in her thin legs, she made her way over to Silhouette, though she gave a few nervous glances behind the black tom every now and then.
"What are you doing here?" Ferret whispered, forcing herself to keep her voice down so the cats outside couldn't hear her. Her tone was a bit urgent, but not unfriendly. Quite the opposite, in fact. She blinked wide, wary eyes at Silhouette, giving her dusty, untidy pelt a shake in the process.

  • Silhouette could see the fear in her eyes as he called out to her. Poor thing. Who would want to abuse such a sweet girl? he thought sadly, but he forgot about everything instantly as her softened. He took another stepped towards her, fluffing up his pelt as a draft washed over his lack fur. How could she like here like this? He felt again the pang of guilt for not managing to get her out of here. This was no place for any cat, let alone the beautiful tabby standing before him. He resisted the urge to try and sneak her out of camp. No, he couldn't do that. Everyone else was in the clearing right now. "I was just stopping by," he whispered softly to her, trying to keep the purr from his voice. He knew she was worried someone would notice them together, and he had the same fear. But he wouldn't let that stop him form seeing her. "Is something wrong with that?" He asked.

Ferret gave a nervous glance behind him, her soft fur fluffed up a little. The small tabby was trembling a little, both from the cold and also the fear they would be found. She knew very well the things the others would do to not only her, but Silhouette as well if they found out. Turning her wide green-amber gaze back to the black tom they she cared for more than any other cat in this wretched gang, she shook her head a little hesitantly, her tail twitching as she murmured "N-no. I just don't want you to get in trouble b-because of, um, me." She stammered, clearly more nervous than she really should be. Her ears pulled back a bit, obviously struggling to keep calm. She had never been one to be very confident or even the teeniest bit daring, so this was obviously really hard for her.

  • He noticed her looking behind him towards the entrance to the den frequently, which only made him more nervous. He tried to shake of the feeling that they might get caught, which was his biggest fear. Of course, he tried to hide his fear when he was around Ferret. He found himself staring into her green eyes, before he looked away quickly, trying to look as embarrassed as be felt. "It'll be fine," He murmured, though he wasn't quite sure he believed it. He noticed her tail was twitching, which he was guessing meant she was nervous. She really did look nervous. Was it because of the fact someone might find them, or was it because of Silhouette himself? He knew she liked him just as much as he liked her. He just hoped he wasn't freaking her out to much.

  • [fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 0px solid transparent; color: white; font-family: courier; width: 380px; overflow: ;]
Ferret looked away, her face flushed warm despite the cold, drafty air of the prisoner's den. "I-I just don't want you to get hurt... O-or worse." It was a dark thought for both of them, what they hoped would happen and what she knew would probably happen, but Ferret grew up not knowing any other way to think. Being treated like a prisoner since birth basically, she only knew how to think the more depressing route. The undersized cat let out a sniff, crouching down and bunching her long body into a compacted lump on the hard ground. She did this, mostly because it helped her to believe she was hiding herself, but also because it was just the slightest bit warmer. She tucked her head against her soft chest, trying to best to hide her face due to the fact a few small tears were heading at the edges of her eyes.
The prisoner rarely got the chance to show her emotions, so it was a rare sight to see Ferret on the edge of tears. She was truly scared for Silhouette, much less herself. In her mind, she was almost useless in life, mostly because that was what the cats of the gang had drilled into her thoughts from almost the moment she could talk. A small, weak kitten that wouldn't be more than a lump of fur in a den. Thinking about it only made her feel a little worse, considering her current position. She let out another sniff, wrapped her tail around as much of her frame as she could in a weak attempt to hide herself from who knows what. Who could blame her, though, considering the way she was raised.

  • Silhouette couldn't help but shiver in the color air. Seriously, someone needed to fix all the drafts. This den was no better than the clearing. He looked back up at her, and noticed she was blushing too. But what she said next troubled him. No, he didn't want to think about that. He shook out his dark fur, and pushed the thought towards that back of his head. No, he would let anything happen to Ferret while he was still alive. He leaned down and licked the top of her head softly. He hoped she would stop crying. It hurt him to she her in tears, or in pain. He felt helpless, really. What was he supposed to do? It's not like he could change her past. "It's okay," He cooed, laying down next to her. The cold air still surrounded him, but the heat from Ferret made it a bit more bearable. "We're safe, I promise."

  • [fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 0px solid transparent; color: white; font-family: courier; width: 380px; overflow: ;]
Ferret didn't say anything. Instead, the small cat shuffled on the cold den floor, keeping her body close together like she had it, toward Silhouette. She pressed her flank against his, letting her longer, soft brown tabby fur press into his shorter black. She rested her cheek against his shoulder, letting some of her weight fall onto him. She was still shaking, but feeling the rare sensation of the heat of another cat not only calmed her, but warmed the prisoner up as well. She let her tail lay out across the floor of the den behind her, making it so the tip of it touched Silhouette's. She closed her eyes and simply let the feeling of warmth and the sound of the black tom's breathing soothe her. It was something she hadn't heard for a long time, and something she wished she could just have there forever.

  • He adjusted his position, so she would be more comfortable. If anyone walked in on them like this, he was screwed. But all he could think about was keeping her warm, for right now at least, until Badger's meeting was over. He began licking her forehead, trying to clean some of the dirt from her tabby fur. Silhouette let out a small purr, and nestled closer to her.

OOC: sorry this is short :(

//Sorry for not replying sooner. I was really tired yesterday. And I'm a bit tired now, hence the short post.

Ferret let out a soft, raspy purr and tucked her undersized, kitten-soft body against Silhouette's side. Despite her having longer fur, she was half hidden beneath the black tom, her frame tucked firmly against him. Her eyes were closed, a white-toed paw covering them, however the prisoner wasn't sleeping. Her ears were pricked as she listened for any cat that might come to disturb them - and catch them in the act.

  • OOC: it's okay. I've been busy, so I didn't reply until today. Sorry!

    IC:
Silhouette purred, letting her lay closer to him. He was glad that Badger had called the meeting, so he could come and be here with Ferret. There was just something about her, he didn't know what. He was fully alert, listening for pawsteps coming towards the prisoners den. Nothing. He was relieved. He didn't want this moment to end, though it had to soon. If only he and Ferret could escape here, find somewhere else to live, and maybe even start a family. He hated living here. It was an awful place, where nobody seemed to mind killing others. It made him sick. The only sane cat here was Ferret, it seemed.

  • [fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 0px solid transparent; color: white; font-family: courier; width: 380px; overflow: ;]
Ferret shifted a little, moving a white-toed paw from her face so that her amber-green eyes glittered in the dim lighting. Looking up at Silhouette, the small she-cat blinked a few time before murmuring "Do you think we'll ever be able to leave?" The fluffy little cat's voice was so small, so quiet, she wasn't even sure Silhouette could hear her. She moved her forepaws so that one was tucked against her chest white the other was stretched out to gently touch Silhouette's black paw, her white toes seeking to glow against his dark fur.
    [/fancypost]

  • Silhouette thought for a minute. Could they really just leave? He wanted to take he somewhere safe, but how would they escape? If Badger found out, he would most likely be kill or turned into a prisoner, like Ferret. Which he wouldn't have minded, because he could be with her whenever he wanted, but if she tried to escape, they wouldn't be as forgiving. "I'm not sure," he muttered.
