  • Skylar smiled and nodded her head at his words. She hoped she would get used to it quick and remember the raises in the door ways and some parts of the halls. She was more than glad that there weren't any in the kitchen or she would be stuck with cleaning all the time. She hated the cleaning because there always seemed to be more of a mess than when they were actually making a mess. Sky always tried to clean up all of her stuff since she felt bad for whoever was stuck with cleaning. She smiled brightly and nodded her head while she waved. "Yeah of course! Sorry for holding you up, and thank you for helping me! I'll maybe see you around," she spoke while he started away. She felt bad for holding him back with her small talk but quickly pushed it away and headed towards the kitchen to start. He seemed super nice and she would remember to say a quick hello if she ever saw him again on the ship. Sky walked into the kitchen and looked around to make sure everything was cleaned up. She did an extra wipe down of the counters before getting out all the supplies that would be needed to prepare the food but didn't take anything out just yet.

He gave a small 'hello' to a fellow member who happened to be going in the opposite direction. She seemed like a nice person, all he hoped was that other people wouldn't give her such a hard time. It was usually like that. When you were new, others seemed to pick on you more and chose you more to play pranks on. They were friendly little tricks and nobody ever went too far. It did get a bit annoying after a while, but of course, the tricks always subsided and everything was put in the past. He was guilly of pulling pranks as well and he was also a victim of many. With friends like his, stuff was always bound to happen. After what seemed like miles of walking and navigating through the maze-like structure, he finally found his work area. There were already a few people there going about and doing their jobs. Quick greetings were passed around before he himself finally got to work as well.[/fancypost]

  • Skylar continued working in the kitchen as more workers came in. She greeted them with a smile as they came in. Soon everyone was there and things were already out and prepped for dinner. She helped cook before going out into the cafeteria and started cleaning tables. She grabbed a rag and a spray bottle and cleaned each table. She then swept and made sure it was all cleaned up. Sky replaced the trash bags before walking back into the kitchen. She helped cook the rest of the food and made sure nothing went wrong. Soon people started entering the cafeteria for dinner. She sighed softly and leaned against the counter relaxing for a minute before having to get back to working. Everyone served themselves but she had to make sure that if it started to get empty to refill it.
