Alright:
-If you can't remember Raoul saw AND knew the Phantom existed AFTER he saw him in "Masquerade". How else would he have come up with a plan, got the police, AND put his *** on the line, all the while willing to die so Christine could live her life.
-He DID know someone was in that room with Christine; "Who is that voice? Who is that in there?!" followed by him trying (and failing, due to the locked door) to get in.
-It may come as a terrible shock, but people in Olden times / movies set in Olden Times didn't IMMEDIATELY assume 'deadly villain'. Usually it was sleep-walking or anemia.
-Raoul told Christine 'it was a dream' to COMFORT her. Because he LOVED and CARED about her. He didn't want Christine to live her life in fear.
-All in all, this picture makes Christine seemed like her evil Off-Broadway counterpart: Shelley Parker, the brat who yelled at her disabled twin half-brother.
I...I just get MAD when people say 'The Phantom is better for Christine'. THIS coming from the generation who DENOUNCES Edward & Bella Cullen?! Hypocrisy. Just hypocrisy.
And DO NOT pull the Love Never Dies card on me. I just pretend it doesn't. Exist.
I got by the movie.
ESPECIALLY the last scene, which always brings tears to my eyes.
If Raoul is SUCH a 'horrible man', WHY did he go and buy the very music box she loved and put it at her grave? I ask you!
