• [shadow=black, left]Ava barked excitedly as the humans lifted her crate and set it down on the ground. She calmed down again when she heard one of them speaking on the crackling box that spoke back to them. She whimpered slightly as she heard them say Nine. That was the name they have been calling her so it was natural for her to pick up on it fast.

Listening, the she-dog heard them mention something about the collar they gave her and that it was active. That word confused her. How could a collar be active? They then walked a bit father, talking about other dogs. Were they going to introduce her to them finally?[/shadow]

  • Wilbur

Barking loudly, I attempt to grab the attention of the human before my crate. Instead of letting me out, like I was hoping, they bang a fist on the bars. A couple more humans come over, their voices scolding. My ears perk up as they say Seven. That is the name my new master has given me. I haven't seen master in days. This causes me to whimper and scratch at he bars. The humans continue to ignore me though.

Andy let out a small volley of barks herself, feeling her cage be moved from one place to another. Voices that seemed human came from outside, and the scents of other dogs. Her ears perked up at the barks of another dog. She started to paw at the base of her cage, barking to try and get them to let her out. Outside, she heard someone say 'three active'. She jumped a little as her collar let out a faded beep. She let out a small yelp and started to scratch at her collar.

  • "Six." Someone called out and the black shepherds ears perked slightly, but he stayed hunched in the back ou the cage. His hackles raised a he let out a throaty growl and three furious barks. Rage burning in his chest as he looked through the bulky metal bars.
Linkin refused to be calm in this small cage his anger just growing more when the humans scolded him

"Eight" Eight was what the brown and black shepherd was called. His name was not eight. It was Benjamin, but hiss brother and owner called him Ben. He lifted his bionic paw and it let out faint buzzing noises when he moved it. Shuffling his paws he lowered his ears hearing his young brother bark. "Link calmd down.. Barking does nothing to help!" He called insisting his brother to stop.

When Linkin.. or Six heard his brothers warnings just rolled his eyes and flattened onto the metal floor.

Andy's ears swiveled in the direction of Lincoln's barks, and she let out a few herself until she heard a hard bang on the side of her cage. She was used to a lot of noise due to the fact she had lived as a stray in a city, but not these kinds of noises. Her nails scrabbled against the bottom of her cage and she let out a soft whimper, her tail low.

  • [shadow=black, left]Hearing other dogs made Ava excited again and her fluffy tail began to tail in response. The metal bars of the cages being hit told her to stay silent if she didn't want the same treatment. Through her silence did made a human come to check on her. Once they confirmed she was alright, they gave her a sad smile and said something about her being a good dog. She barked happily at the comment before the person left.

Once they were gone, it dawned on her. Didn't her last owners say that she was a good dog with a sad face before they gave her away? Was that what was happening?

The mix's ears lowed and she whimpered at the thought. Maybe she was reading a bit too much into it. Her new masters seemed deeply interested in her so they couldn't just leave her behind this soon.[/shadow]

  • At peace finally Benjamin sat down. Somethig was suddenly then tossed his way. It landed next to his bionic paw, and he sniffed it intensely. "Up." A human ordered and before another word could come from the man's mouth Ben got to his paws. The man knelt down near Benjamin's cage and pointed to what he had thrown in. "Go on Benji it'll probably be the last normal thing you eat." The man said reaching in and petting what used to be his dog.
Benjamin whined a bit realising this man was his army owner and he did as instructed not quite understanding his last words about food. Quickly he swallowed the slab of meat before licking the man's hand. "Back up!" Anoher man called and Benjamin watched as his owner got up stepping away. The other man reached into his cage and roughly yanked at Ben's collar and when he did the collar let out a beeping noise. "Active!" The man called then took his arm out stepping away.

Link stayed laying down ignoring when humans demanded him to get up. This made the man angry and he banged a metal pole of some sort on the cage startling Linkin. Linkin let out a deep snarl hunching up onto his paws. The man grumbled something to another man then lightly jabbed Linkin in the neck with the pole then his cage door swung open. Then the other got inside the cage, and he hollered something at the man with the pole when Linkin tried getting close. Understanding the man with the pole jabbed Linkin in the chest causing him to jump back. The man in the cage then quickly grabbed Linkin 's muzzle and held it against the cold bars and he grabbed his collar yanking on it a bit. Linkin tried his hardest to get out of the hold, but the harder hr tried the more the pole jabbed into his chest. Desperately he tried biting the man's hand, but it just lead to him having the pole guy reach in and grab his muzzle tighter his hand and the other man's hand overlapping. The guy in the cage then pulled his hand out from under the other man's and Likin broke free. The man who was in the cage was already out though so when Linkin tried to get out the man kicked him back in causing Linkin to yelp loudly in pain. Both men then quickly slammed the door shut.
Fear lightly stroked Linkin, but he shook it away growling at the humans furiously.

Benjamin trembled a bit hearing hsi brother's painful yelps, and the men's vengeful yells.

Active??? Benjamin was more confused now, but ignored it.

  • Deven
The crackling sound of the device hooked on the human's shirt made Deven perk his ears up as he made out the word four. For some reason these new people gave him a new name even though he already had the name Deven. The shepherd's eyes were focused on what was outside of the barred cage that he was kept in. More words came from the device and something about a collar for each one. They must have been the other dogs that he had smelt when he arrived here. The male laid his ears back not sure what to think about what was going on around him. He stood up and let out a couple barks to see if any other dogs were around him, but his bark was cut off short when his cage came to a stop and something banged against it. After the bang, the human crouched down in front of his cage and gave a small smile, but it wasn't exactly a happy smile. It was more of a sad smile. Deven tilted his head in confusion as the human got up and walked to the side of his cage.

    Nova
As her enclosure moved around, Nova had her ears slightly perked up in a relaxed position. Something about these new masters was a little off compared to her last master. Her last master use to let her walk by his side and let her go anywhere she wanted with him, these masters didn't give that freedom. The female didn't really mind that she didn't have as much freedom anymore. All she cared about now was trying to please the human's she was with now, so she wouldn't be given up again. Nova's tail wagged as she heard the new name she was given come through the strange device the human held in his hand. "Two is now active," said the strange voice on the other end of the device. The female stood up with her tail still wagging as the barks of other dogs entered her ears. Nova wanted to let out a bark as well, but noticed that it didn't really make the human's happy, instead she let out a small excited whimper.

Andy let out a loud bark, and the normally quiet dog pushed herself against the bars at the front of the cage, fed up with the small cage. A volley of barks sounded from her as she shoved her muzzle through the bars, her brown and white fur seeable through the bars. Soon enough, she felt a hard smack across her muzzle and she let out a whimper, shying away. She rubbed her muzzle with a paw, her gaze set on the bars of the cage.

  • Selena's ears laid flat on the back of her head and her teeth were bared at any human who stopped by her cage. Why am I in here? I want to go home! She pressed her nose onto the bars of her cage while clawing endlessly at the material. After what seemed like forever the white furred fae gave up. After giving out at trying to escape her prison, she slumped down into a heap of white fur on the floor of the cage. Selena stayed where she was on the floor all until she heard footsteps. Selena instantly was on her feet mustering the most fearful snarl at the human. The human payed her no mind as he held a weird device in her hand and bark, "Number Five is active." Selena backed up in the cage and laid down once again not knowing if she would ever escape the box she was trapped in.

I was thinking we could have them released all together and then be out in the wilderness, but whatever works

  • [shadow=black, left]OOC:I can start us up again.

IC:Footsteps caught Ava's attention. The human went to the side of her cage and placed a hand on the door's latch. They stayed like that, seeming to wait for something which confused the she-dog. She wanted to meet the other dogs and get free of the metal prison. A voice crackled through the box that was strapped on the human.

    'Release... now!

The latch was pulled and the door yanked open. Ava ran out of the cage, barking happily as her paws hit the ground. She then paused to look back, noticing that the door was closed again. The dog didn't think much of it as she began to look for the others.[/shadow]
