Meeko looked to Evalynn as the stranger explained. He wouldn't leave unless she told him to do so. "What do you think?" He asked.

She took a moment before glancing back to Meeko. "I think this is still some kind of dream like nightmare... That this isn't even real... But if this is... And you can be in danger... Sounds more like a trap to keep you there... I mean... Why let you go if they were only going to try and bring you back." She said softly before glancing to the boy beneath Meeko again. "And get him out of here.." She muttered, standing and backing away, still clutching her towel tightly.
-
Meeko looked back at the boy. "Understood." He said as if in a daze. He glared and lifted the boys head by the hair, slamming it back into the ground before letting go. He made the boy was unconscious before lifting him up and leaving the house.
-
She watched them leave, waiting a moment to be sure before turning and quickly getting dressed and pinning up her hair. She sighed, looking exhausted as she pulled a thin sweater on over her tank top, going and sitting on her bed, pulling her legs up as she waited for Meeko to come back, unsure what else she could do at this point.
-
Meeko dumped the kid off at the nearest bus stop. He just left him, sure, he gained weird looks but that was normal to him. Meeko made his way back home, coming in and entering the bedroom. "You ok?" He asked, sitting next to her.
-
She didn't really look up at him when he came back, just a quick glance to be sure it was him before lowering her gaze again. "No... A stranger attacks me then claims that whoever did this to you wants you back... I just lost you... I don't want to lose you again... we're all each other have..." She muttered, hugging her knees closer while she tried to hide the welling tears in her eyes.
-
Meeko blinked, listening. He liked those words. He didn't know what to do, so he just copied what he saw other humans do, hugged Evalynn. He hugged her closely into him. "Don't worry, I promise I won't leave."
-
She didn't even attempt to move away as she leaned against him, nuzzling into his chest while moving her arms from around her knees to curl between them as she laid against him quietly. She couldn't explain it, but it was like somehow her prayers were being answered. She had secretly always wished he were human so that they can talk and hug, maybe kiss. But she grew out of that way of thinking a long time ago. Now, she only thought of him as family, her family.
-
Meeko got quiet after that. He stroked her hair, like she used to stroke his fur all those times before. He was't sure what else to say.
-
She sighed softly, closing her eyes and trying to put this behind her. After a bit she decided to speak up softly. "Maybe we should move... Find a new place where we can't have this happen again... Because honestly... I don't feel safe anymore in this house... It's been broken into three times in just two days..." She muttered with a deep sigh, nuzzling closer to him in attempts to feel safer like before.
-
"Are you sure you'd be able?" He asked, liking the idea himself. He didn't feel safe here either.
-
"Maybe... Sell everything here and get an actual job else where, maybe get an apartment this time." She said softly, thinking aloud to herself even a bit.
-
"Ok, I'll do whatever helps." Meeko put in softly. He wasn't sure what'd he'd do though. But he'd do anything.
-
"You can't do anything anyways. You can't do any kind of job so that may not help... No don't worry about it... I'll figure it out don't worry.." She said softly, sighing faintly and seeming to go quiet as she thought.
-
"Ok...." He said quietly. Not saying anything more. He just sat and let her think, not noticing that he was still stroking her hair.
-
She sighed softly again, a sign she was tired and yet deep in thought. She sat there for awhile, not even realizing she was falling asleep, even after she was all but limo in his arms, her eyes closed, her breathing soft, and her body finally relaxed.
-
Meeko watched her, only making him hold her closer. He felt bad, as if all of this was his fault. The break ins, the fear the worry and stress of people coming and taking him. He closed his eyes and laid back in bed, legs still hanging off the side of the bed. He held her close like a stuffed animal. Not wanting to loose her. Meeko closed his eyes, holding in the tears, for her, as he slowly fell asleep himself.

(Time skipping)
After a few days had passed and Evalynn was constantly cleaning, there came a stranger to the house. A woman who took a good look around the house before her and Evalynn sat down to talk for nearly two hours. By the time that woman left, Evalynn looked more relieved than she had in awhile. She came back to where she left Meeko, sighing softly and sitting beside him. "We'll barely pull through... But looks like we can move out soon as someone buys. If anyone at all asks, no there are no break ins. Nothing bad has happened in this house." She said, referring to when he killed a man while still a dog.
-
Meeko looked up, he had stored away most of what he owned. That's what he was doing now, for an easier move. His belongings really only consisted of clothes, he had a phone now and his bike. He thought about getting a motorcycle, knowing that was most likely impossible. He just loved to ride. "Ok." He replied looking back to his single box. Just another and he'd be ready to go, but they weren't there yet.
-
"It'll be too expensive for a moving truck... Good thing j have a truck at least so we can only take some stuff. We can take the mattress, the bike and a few dishes and obviously clothes. But I guess everything else will stay." She said, taking a small look around. She had been so busy she hadn't even gotten around to packing anything yet, making her sigh almost sadly.
