Do you remember the nighttime stories that your parents used to tell you? You know, the ones about fairies and magical lands? Or maybe you watched movies that had fairies, mermaids, witches, or elves? And what about all those stories that arise on nights like Halloween? Where you ever scared of finding a vampire, werewolf, ghost, or goblin? To any mere human, these were just stories, and all those things were made up and didn't exist. Well, I am here to tell you that they do exist, and they are very real. Don't believe me? Take a look for yourself. You might just be one of those "made-up story creatures".

To put it simply, Willow Branch is a sanctuary for all creatures that don't fit in with the human race. Whether they are pure blood, or mixed, they are welcomed here. Willow Branch is nestled deep in the forest, surrounded by a barrier to keep it hidden from the pure human eye. It is made to keep humans and Scaves out. Scaves will be explained later, but all you need to know right now is that they are not to be messed with. The barrier is fueled by the White Willow, and it's power is enough to keep all of Willow Branch hidden.

    [/fancypost][/fancypost]

    [fancypost bgcolor=; border: none; width: 215px; font-size: 16pt; text-align: left; color: black; font-family: georgia; text-transform: lowercase; margin-bottom: -20px;][i]Scaves[/fancypost]
    [fancypost bgcolor=; border: none; width: 239px; height: 200px; padding: 10px; overflow: hidden][fancypost bgcolor=; border: none; width: 239px; height: 200px; padding: 0px; padding-right: 27px; overflow: auto][fancypost bgcolor=; border: none; width: 239px; min-height: 200px; padding: 0px; font-size: 10px; line-height: 12px; text-align: justify; color: black; font-family: verdana]
As mentioned before, these are creatures that are not to be messed with. They are horrid creatures that prey on the blood and power of others. However, you do not see them out in the open. No, they remain hidden in their den while they send out little messengers, call Scavengers. These are the ones that do the dirty work. They are sent to find those lost and terrified creatures that haven't found their way to Willow Branch. They lure them in with enticing promises, leading them, unknowingly, to the Scaves. It is when they are in the dens that it is too late to turn around. Scavengers are relatively weak in strength, but are very sneaky and tempting. Scaves, however, are strong and powerful, and to defeat the hold of one takes strong force of power. This is why they go after the lost and frightened because they are the ones that are new or just barely familiar to their powers.

    [fancypost bgcolor=; border: none; width: 215px; font-size: 16pt; text-align: right; color: black; font-family: georgia; text-transform: lowercase; margin-bottom: -20px; margin-left: 0px;][i]White Willow[/fancypost]

This beautiful tree is the main source of all the power in Willow Branch. It may not look like much, but without it, Willow Branch wouldn't be hidden, or safe, from the humans and Scaves. It is taken care of by a little demon, called Pukwudgie. Unlike most demons, this little one is kind and gentle, which is why White Willow allows it to care for it. Pukwudgie doesn't speak, at all, and his main purpose and desire is to care and take care of White Willow.

Here at Willow Branch, we have specific people who are willing to help everyone enhance their abilities.

    [b][i]Teachers

    - They are here to instruct you on how to fight for protection against Scaves and humans, how to control any powers you may have, and how to make your powers better. The fighting can include hand-to-hand combat, as well as best ways to hide. We aim to not hurt humans, even if our pasts are rough with them. For power control, it is crucial that everyone knows how to control their powers and not let them grow out of control. This is what tends to scare the humans of us the most. For power enhancement, you will be taught how to make your weakened and controlled powers better. This is not to cause harm to humans, but to give you protection from the Scaves and Scavengers.

Medical - These two are the ones that hold all the nursing needs for Willow Branch. The main Medical is the one with the most knowledge about medicine and treatments, and can have an assistant to train in their footsteps.

Guards - These are the ones that stand guard over the barrier and go out with the Seekers in search for Lost Creatures. These are the ones that are skilled in battle and are the ones that keep the Scavengers away from the Seekers and lost creatures.

Seekers - These are the ones that travel with the Guards outside the barrier in search for new and Lost Creatures. They are skilled in listening and sight, though not so much in battle. They are built of a smaller frame than the Guards so rely on them to fight off the Scavengers. Seekers help the Lost Creatures find Willow Branch, and they make sure to keep them safe as they journey there.

Lost Creatures/Students - These are the ones that are either new or very minimally exposed to their form or powers. Outside the barrier, they are called Lost Creatures, but inside, they are Students. These can be pure breed creatures, or half-blood. Either way, they are welcomed to Willow Branch for protection. • ooc .. sorry for any grammer mistakes I'm still on mobile and the tablet is being a pain in the arces as usual but in a couple of days I'll be back on my actual computer.

    PANDORA RAVEN BROOKS
She planted her feet firmly on the soild ground as she narrowed her gaze ahead of her. She had been awake guarding the camp the entire night though it did show in her body language. Her dull eyes casting a haunted look with dark bags under her eyes. She rubbed her tired eyes knowing she'll barely get any sleep without having nightmares. When was the last time she slept properly? She couldn't remember but with a small shake of her head as her wings streatched out before her before they rested behind her back in a small stance of dominince. Her eyes darkened as her body slowly began to shift. Her bones snapped as fur rose up from her skin. Her head slowly narrowed out into a wolf's head as she shook herself. Her wings rested in a folded manner as she stood outside of the gate.

    REESE HOLLOWS
He made his way towards the barrier with a tired yawn as he drew his hands through his light brown hair. With a mumble of 'bloody mornings' he traveled forward before slipping past the barrier and into the woods that his people dreaded. His dark brown eyes scanned the area only to find a wolf standing tall with narrowed eyes and a agressive body language. With rolled his eyes in annoyance, realizing he would'd get the morning to himself as he turned and marched in the other direction. He casted a glace back as he stopped and turned only to bump into Shadow who let out a grunt of surprise. His eyes flared as Reese's wings streatched wide in a arch as he caught his balance. "What in the bloody world are you doing!" Reese hissed out as his eyes flared up in annoyance.

    SHADOW MORRIS
He watched his adopted brother leave with a raised eyebrow as he scrambled to his feet before following his brother to guard the camp. He bit his lip as he slipped through the barrier as his eyes scanned and landed on another guard who sat still with narrowed eyes. He let out a small huff of air before turning his attention back to his brother than back at the wolf. "Goodmorning, panda." He grinned as the girl gave him a blank look. His smile faltered before shaking his head and mumbling a 'tuff crowd.' He turned on his heel and followed Reese until the boy bumped into him causing Shadow to let out a grunt of surprise. "What in the bloody world are you doing here!" Reese hissed with arched wings as Shadow rolled his eyes. "Guarding the camp, what else would I be doing?" Shadow questioned before sidestepping out of the way and deeper around the barrier.

  • Second night, with little to no sleep. It wasn't that big of a difference from any others of Birdie's night. The long, restless times where often inflicted with such crazed thoughts receiving a wink of sleep was a hopeless situation for the male. Restless insanity had him ensnared like an unworthy animal in a bear trap. He would have to chew off his own leg to get out of it.
This left him often crabby and tired, especially on days like this it remained hard to work, or even move around or talk due to his exhaustion. But, he did so, despite this zombie like state that often possessed it. Worst case, his body would give out tonight if his brain wouldn't let him sleep. But, it almost sounded relaxing a sense, this usually happened on fourth night of no rest, though his body acted much different from a human receiving such low amounts of rest.
But the medic knew he wasn't the only one with this problem, he could often see or hear Pandora shifting around, and couldn't help but feel a chunk of pity or empathy for the girl, out of the entire crew of the willow camp, it was often her he checked up a lot on, commonly trying to give her sleeping herbs and medication or anything else to help her not to follow the same nights he did, as it felt nothing would work against the awful days and nights. Granted, he did have Zvi to keep him company, the male not needing sleep was often around camp for brief talks or perhaps try to cast a spell over him for a not so awful night.
With a small groan, the male managed to stumble up slightly from his sitting position, the small waterfall of the tiny, escape like area was calming, and often where he got his best rest, if any, but at the moment the other's must be waking or already so and he wanted to check up on a few people to see if they where alright. Besides, he needed to be up and about to see if anything bad was to happen, so the medic quickly retreated to his own abode in the camp after making his way back into the heart of the area.
He dug around for a few moments before brushing a hand through the many feathers that lined his body. The pesky things where frizzed and some where crooked, causing an uncomfortable scenario as they ruffled under his clothing, with annoyance, he quickly tried to fix what was going before just giving up and sitting down, closing his optics for a few moments.

By morning, Zvi was of course, awake, like Birdie and even Pandora, he stayed up for a much different reason, for having a pretty enduring sense of energy didn't leave time for such things. In fact, even if he was worn out but his energy was high for magic, he couldn't allow himself a blissful nap even, as it would add to much mana to the already high amount, and it could end up decently dangerous.
With a small sigh, filled with either a decent amount of dread or just the sense that he had to get up, the male stood up on the branch he had resided in sitting in for the night. Granted, it wasn't very hard to get up to, but it still remained peaceful before he peered down between the crisscrossing branches to Pandora, who he had been watching move around and guard the gate all night, and with his usual smiling face now fixed with a small frown, the male eventually made it to the bottom before approaching rather silently.
"Good morning Pandora." His voice was calm, and smooth, like usual, it didn't hold any tint of worry or really any expression either, but he made sure to announce his presence so he hopefully didn't frighten her, which he was unsure if he would or not. The seeker now carefully studied the guard with a frown, out of the camp, she was one of the two with a pretty crippling insomnia, and while he had made a pretty hardened vow not to attach to anyone, these where still the people he worked with, and there was still an overwhelming desire to protect them.
"Did you sleep well?" Zvi already knew the answer, as he had been residing in the tree all night, staying in it's protective branches while he watched over the gate as well, along with the restless female who stayed up at night to protect it. By now, a small amount of worry trickled into his tone, and despite the almost unnerving appearance of the undead man, he seemed concerned enough, only glancing over when he heard the small talking between Reese and Shadow with a slightly curious, yet exasperated glance for no more then a moment.
(I apologize for this awfully choppy post, I'll also be getting a better fancy afterwords, I became a little rushed near the end and was unable to proof read.

    { Claire Luis - Looks - Fairy - Fairy Form - Sixteen}
A young girl with blonde hair sat in the window of the library, her legs hanging out over the side of the small building. In her lap lay little Nina as she swatted at the girl's hands that held a book. Claire looked down at the little ice wolf and smiled. She knew the little one was very playful. Looking at the book, which described different ice baring magic, she set it aside for a short moment. Raising a hand, she began to make tiny snow flakes fall around Nina, who began to nip at them as they fell. Claire laughed as the little wolf played, and then looked out over what she could see of the camp.

She hadn't been here that long, only a few weeks really, but she was grateful to this little camp. It gave her a place that she could be herself without anyone condemning her for it. Though she was terrified of using her powers to their full extent and purpose, she was happy she could use them in the little ways she could without the condemning looks from the humans beyond the barrier.

Claire often woke up early in the morning to sit in the window of the library to watch the sunrise. She would come in quietly, as to not arise any noise of her approach, and find her usual books concerning ice and magic. Then she would take her perch and wait on the beautiful colors to fill the sky. Nina was always with her to watch as well, though it was normal to see the small wolf with Claire anyways. There was really no separating the two.

Briar, the resident air elemental and Power Control Teacher, smiled at the breeze and made their way down from above the tree tops, white hair gently flowing behind them. A small squawk signaled the return of Nyalo, Briar's companion and familiar, from his hunt. "I hope you had a successful hunt." The young-looking elemental's voice was soft and calming, like that of a warm spring breeze. Nyalo squawked in confirmation, earning a soft chuckle from Briar, and settled himself on top of the white-haired head, letting his long tail flow with the soft white strands behind them.

Moving at a slow pace and floating a foot above the ground, Briar passed by the White Willow and Pukwudgie, giving a soft smile and wave, and paused the library. At the sight of Claire and Nina, they chuckled, happy to see the young ice-wielding fairy practicing and reading. Without bothering the pair, the elemental and bird moved toward the part of the camp where they taught young students to control their powers, giving soft greetings to those they passed by. Spotting Birdie, the elemental slowed down to let the male Aswang pass by and gave a soft greeting. Once the male had passed them, Briar resumed their normal speed and continued floating to their teaching area.

dark circles stood out against pale skin, and as sweat dripped from his face, alaric could only grimace at his reflection in the water. with a theatrical shiver, the prince swiped at the sweat, a small frown tugging at his lips - "royalty shouldn't have to work so hard," and yet, hard work was all he had. hissing sharply, he spun on his heel, stalking towards a more worn path to continue on his patrol. there had been less scaves in the surrounding forests and it was making alaric more irritable than usual. killing those things had been his stress relief and the 'blood' made the itch under his skin disappear for a little while. but it always came back. so with nothing to 'kill', alaric was left feeling a bit under the weather and he had to wonder if killing was so ingrained - assassinations, training, his father - that he didn't know what else to do. and even when he had a purpose here... even when he had a purpose, his purpose was to kill those who threatened the little ones. so did that mean nothing had changed? .... he stopped that train of thought, eye twitching when he heard the familiar tones of the brother duo.

something else he wanted to avoid at the moment, people. ugh. not to mention they'd probably try and get rid of him anyways considering his personality, was thought with amusement, another reason he liked being here at willow branch. alaric was able to be whoever the hell he wanted to be. and what he wanted to be was an arrogant, narcissistic naga who had no idea what the meaning of 'real' work was. ha! he seriously had enough 'real' work to last him two lifetimes and even then, he'd take the road of a farmer than the life, Life had dealt him. with a subdued hiss, and an annoyed sigh following soon after, alaric leaned on a stump and tried to get out of his slump. brooding was alike the current him.

but training, training would keep him from thinking for a while, "i'll go over there," he murmured to himself, referring to the escape, and got up with fire burning in his bones.

  • Katara 'Kat' Cerridwen

A small white kitsune fox with three tails sat in a small glen. Her unusual turquoise eyes closing as she sighed. She was uneasy about being so close to the Willow...but her home was there. A small light shone and the fox transformed into a teenage elf girl. Her knee length white hair and ears flicked at the top. Her three tails remained, but were a smidge longer than when in her fox form. The girl walked to he cave, before transforming back into her kitsune form so she could easily slip into the cracks of the cave near the Willow. Her white fur let off a small glow as she made her way, limping slightly to her nest and curling up, closing her eyes to enjoy the peace and quiet.

ooc: Anyone can interact(as in find) her btw

  • PANDORA RAVEN BROOKS
The young girl looked up at the male in front of her as she shifted slightly on her paws for a moment before letting out tired yawn. She let out a small puff of air as the female hybrid shook her head before opening her muzzle to respond only to close it with a snap of her jaw. She didn't know how to answer his question and with the lack of sleep for the past weeks wasn't helping her at all. "Didn't get any sleep but that is to be expected and who would watch the camp during the night?" She added with a flick of her ear as she arose from her sitting position. With a quick snap of her bones as the fur slowly shrunk back into her skin as she transformed into her original form as a human. Her wings slowly tucked back as she scanned the area of any signs of trouble or someone in need of her help. Pandora did hope that she wasn't causing others to worry about her for the lack of sleep she had gotten or become a burden to others.

    REESE HOLLOWS
The boy only rolled his eyes in annoyance as he watched his brother walk off before he let out a small grumble of words as he turned his attention to the forest in front of him with slanted eyes. His wings flapped silently as a small breeze ruffled his feathers as he leant his head back with a small sigh. His eyes slowly opened before he swapped his face of any emotion that rose to the surface. His gaze shifted towards the trees as he sucked in a deep breath before letting it out.

    SHADOW MORRIS
He ran swiftly into the forest as his paws tore through the dirt his eyes flickering past different areas, hoping the boy wouldn't get lost the third time he had done this. He had a bad sense of direction and had always ended up in situations that would make others laugh. An image of him getting tangled up in branches only to think it was some monster. With an unamused chuckle he skidded to a stop as dirt flew up into the air. Although he wasn't really being silent at the moment but he chose not to care. Although Pandora may chew him out later for not being smart enough not to cause suck a ruckus.

    "DELVIN! HELP ME!"

A woman's voice. It pierces through the night sky, ringing in the ears and filling the body with a hot copper fire that sparks with the green of fear and an animal instinct to fight or run.

    Fight or run.

    Fight or run.

That ultimate question playing over and over inside the head whilst bright, fiery shapes are thrown around like ragdolls. Suddenly, a familiar face appears

    "Run, Fiskan"

The memory playing again inside the mind of the fully grown Fire Elemental as he sat in meditation, muscles clenched and fire bright. Fiskan's body lit up with veins of blue-green fire as he allowed emotions to pour through him like a forest fire; wild and uncontrolled. The rising panic and fear as Fiskan re-experienced his wild dash through the forest nearly overcame him. Nearly, but not quite. Like a flood that quenches the burning jungle, the green lights were chased away by the normal and calm red.

Two orbs opened in the middle of what looked like the burning figure's face and stared out into the dawn; the visions of death fading away like echoes. A great sigh racked Fiskan's body as he stood up from the ground and made his way out from underneath the roof of his home and out into the camp. Passing the White Willow and the tiny demon that tended it, the Fire Elemental cast a soft light around him and illuminating Briar floating away.

"A good day is it not?" Fiskan asked the other resident Elemental when he caught up with them; voice like a pleasant fire and totally without crackle.

  • Hearing voices, the ears of the little white fox raised and her head lifted. She sat up and crept forward, wondering what all the noise was about. Her three tails waving behind her elegantly. She moved gracefully and without a certain gait in general. She moved almost effortlessly, as she approached the mouth of the cave, and poked her head out into the Willow Branch area, her eyes landing on the elementals, and she blinked, wondering if she should try to get closer or not. Her white fur sort of stood out in the broad light, but in the darkness it glowed, so how would she really do this?

taking a deep breath, alaric spread his senses around the forest, ears twitching at every little moment he felt. at the moment, he could only go about a mile out, but it was enough for his patrolling because extending the range would take a bit longer. and he didn't have the time or quiet for that. but...

training would be going a lot smoother if a certain wolf wasn't making enough of a racket to alert every scave in shouting distance. rolling blue eyes, alaric let out a sharp whistle, trying to get the mutt's attention. "boy! the prince demands that you cease with your noise making," it's giving me a headache, is what he didn't say. it wasn't like the wolf-child was being especially loud, but it was making it difficult to concentrate when his attention was divided between training and tracking the noises around him. "there's no need for you to be in this part when my royal self is enough protection."

    { Claire Luis - Looks - Fairy - Fairy Form - Sixteen}
As Nina played with the snowflakes, Claire continued to watch the camp. She wondered what all the others were up to. Looking down at her little wolf, she gently let the snowflakes slacken. "Come on, Nina. Let's go." The little wolf looked for the snowflakes for a moment when they ceased, but she soon got off Claire's lap.

Claire gathered her books and slipped them into her bag that she normally carried around, then rose from her perch at the window. She held out her arms and Nina hopped into them with an excited bark. Nina always preferred being carried over walking.

The companions left the library, looking around the camp as they did so. There were so many different forms of beings here that Claire didnt all recognize at first. Many times she had gone into the library to do research on her fellow camp members. Not to be creepy, really, but she was curious about them. Fairies are rather curious beings.

[align=center][shadow=silver, left][font=segoe script][color=silver] Briar turned their head to look at the fire elemental, with Nyalo giving a squawk of greeting. "Yes, a wonderful day it is." The air elemental gently smiled and faced forward, reaching one hand up to stroke the silver bird's head. "And a lovely breeze as well." Their dress gently moved in the warm breeze along with their hair, which seemed to shine in the light of the sun. Shifting to the elemental's shoulder, Nyalo chirped something to Briar, who nodded, and took off from their shoulder. The silver bird loved to fly over the forest and scout out any lost ones to help the seekers and guards, so it was common to see the silver bird flying around above the trees.

  • SHADOW MORRIS
The wolf snapped his head in the direction of the whistle with an tilt of his head as he perked up his ears at the sound of the voice. "Yes, your highness." He spoke with hint of mock in his voice as he turned and slipped away from him with a flick of his tail. He passed into the forest, muttering about stuck up people as he leaped over a fallen log. He trudged forward as grass and dirt began to stick to his legs as he traveled before veering left as he slowed. He slowly made his way around the left side of the border with his nose stuck to the ground for any sent of the enemy's.

  • Zvi~
"You underestimate me too much." Zvi's usual smile peeked over his face with this sarcasm for no more then a few moments before it faded back to the small, curved frown that crinkled his brow once more. Resting a tired hand on his hip he shrugged slightly. He did feel bad for Pandora, and slightly wished he hadn't stayed up in the tree to be watching her the entire time, it was starting to bother him seeing her so restless, and not necessarily in a rude way either.
"I don't tend to sleep either but for a different reason, if there was anything wrong I would alert you." Another kind smile, and despite the male being a seeker, he could defend himself pretty easily, though he preferred not to. After all, it had to trail back to his mild haphephobia, the fear of being touched, or at least in his stomach region. Besides, he had decided a long time ago not to get into this blood and guts and messy war stuff, he was a pacifist and was also slightly scared of fighting as wimpy as it sounded, but if anything did happen, he could get someone else up, or the whole camp considering if it was needed.
White eyes now focusing back on the younger female a small sigh escaped from slightly parted lips. He didn't want to pester her, especially about her insomnia, so, on the note of that he started to veer the subject differently. A walk sounded nice, and he disliked going alone, mostly because scaves and such, but a small talk couldn't hurt either, if Pandora wanted to come with, he at least wanted to help her relax a little bit.
"Say, do you want to go for a stroll? We have yet to find anyone new for a little bit, and I think you should take a break from standing in the same place all night and day." The offer definitely seemed kind enough from the lich, which was slightly out of character, but he was getting extremely sick of this girl exhausting herself in this one spot. Besides, the camp was now becoming bustling with energy and he could already feel himself becoming twitchy. All the mana around the camp was often annoying to mage, especially because his body picked up and tended to feed on the excess of this, making his own start to skyrocket, it was aggravating.
But, he now brushed this off, reaching down to adjust his clothing, folding the cloak like layer back around him before brushing his hair out of his own face as well before staring back over at the guard.
(Hm, very rushed again, meaning I couldn't bring Birdie but was able to scrape together Zvi)
